I'm not sure if it's the crazy amount of weight I've gained, bloating, or a baby bump, but I have a wee paunch now where there wasn't one before... Bump-havers: when did yours show up?
With DD, mine didn't show up until sometime between 17-20 weeks. I wore maternity pants earlier than that though because normal pants bothered my abdomen and stretchy waste bands felt good! Everyone will show at different times. I have a friend who popped around 10 weeks, too.
At this point the baby is the size of a blueberry and even though your uterus is twice it's normal size right now, it's still only about the size if your fist and tucked way back in your pelvis. Your "bump" right now is just bloat. There's no physical way it's the baby. You can prob expect to really be showing baby somewhere between 15-20 weeks pregnant.

This is my second and my pants are starting to not fit at the waste. I am 8 weeks 2 days and only gained like 1 lb. I think maybe the 2nd time it pops out a little faster. I think I was about 12 last time tho.
I have a bump and it's not bloat or poop. I have lost weight and I don't have constipation. Yes I feel silly but I am showing, I don't think you can just say it's bloating as not everyone is the same.

Your baby is the size of a kidney bean. I'm almost positive you're not showing yet.
It isn't possible to actually be "showing" this early. Baby is tiny. The ute is still behind the pelvic bone right now. Doesn't matter how skinny you are, it's physically impossible.
There is a diagram somewhere, I just can't seem to find it. Look it up.
Don't want to burst any bubbles, just...science.

It's not physically impossible. I have been told by my doctor that my uterus is a lot higher than normal and is no longer behind my pelvic bone. Like I said everyone is different.
This is my fourth and I am petite, 5'2 and a size 0-2 depending on brand. I have a bump. I don't give two shits if it's only bloat, it's a hard bump and I consider it my baby belly. It is the beginning of a Buddha belly and I'm ok with it being there because it's obvious I'm pregnant and I'm not in the weird is she or isn't she phase. If my body style was different, it would look like chunk but it doesn't.

I definitely have a bloat/constipation bump. I'm 7w 5d, and still fitting just fine into my smallest pair of jeans, but there's an obvious pooch (which pushes my fat over my waistband, gross!). I am eagerly looking forward to having a "real" bump so people aren't just wondering if I've been overdoing the donuts lately.
This I meant to be for support, not to say who is wrong or right. Everyone is different! If you want to belive it is your baby bump then don't let others tell you it is not... baby #5 on the way and each time it's been a completely different pregnancy. Love your body the way it is and will be...

No. This isn't the land of pretend. This is a place to educate ourselves and others with factual information. It is a fact that it is not possible to be showing a "baby bump" this early on. You can not see something the size of a blueberry/kidney bean/grape/whatever inside of your uterus. Think about that and get back to us.
Good lord .... Women ... Pft. Get over yourselves tomato .... Tomato !! A baby is a baby! Jesus if I feel like my stomach is hard and my uterus is creating a force field that I can't suck in like I used to and it's more than the feeling of "bloat" than I'm gonna call it a baby bump!
I am finding the women in this group very opinionated, and that is perfectly okay....as long as we remain respectful. Bloat or not, some women, including myself, are starting to get a belly. Even if it is just from bloat, it is bloat caused by pregnancy...a growing baby.....If calling it a baby bump is "scientifically" wrong, then lets call it a "pregnancy bump."
Now lets all be respectful...please and thank you.

Telling someone they're full of bologna and full of poop isn't "educational" - it's unnecessary and yes, it is rude.

This is my first pregnancy and I'm very new to all of this. I thought maybe being part of a birth club like this would be a great outlet for support and advice but all you all have proved to me is that I can't share a question or a concern or an exciting milestone without the possibility of some rude woman kicking dirt all over me. I know not to waste my time here. So for that, I thank you.

Don't let some trolls/pregnant trolls scare you away. Everyone has an opinion on something. There are some great women on here that will give some good advice.
To the original poster, even if it's bloat/crap/uterus, it's a bump caused by pregnancy. Just rock it. I'll rock my baby pooch from my previous two children, and even if my current babe is the size of a chocolate chip/missing tooth/chicken nugget, I'll call it a baby bump if I want.
While I do understand what you are saying, name calling is completely childish, and is the furthest thing from being educational. And that is also a fact.

Even if it's just bloat now, it's there to stay (and grow). Bloat today, baby tomorrow.
I'm already pulling out the maternity jeans because comfort.
Now lets all be respectful...please and thank you.
