    I'm having a problem with my medical insurance. Finally got it taken care of and I'm waiting for my doctor to approve me as a patient. So nerve racking. I'm 9 weeks 2 days and still haven't been to a doctor. I know it's not a big deal because they typically don't do an ultrasound till 12 weeks. But I would love to see this little baby or at least hear a heart beat soon.

    I had my first appointment yesterday. They did an ultrasound and we heard the heart beat! It was amazing. I feel like it's real now!

    The doctor did not give me a specific number for the heart rate. She just said it was strong.

    I'm new to the board. My EDD is August 4. I've had two U/Ss already and the third is in a week. I feel like I'm very lucky with the dr.'s office I found.

    With all of us being due in August (hottest month of the year), I want to get as much done as I can so I can just coast in June and July. LOL! Plus, I want to get as much stuff bought as I can so I can start saving for day care ($170 a week!).

    I am due August 7th with our first as well! I am high risk, so I get ultrasounds every 4 weeks. Baby was kicking its feet on Monday and had a strong heartbeat. Hang in there ladies. Some fears and anxieties go away after you see these things. You are almost there!

    @ReD9152012‌ that's good thinking and I should probably get on board as I'm living in El Paso and it will be extremely hot here. I am a teacher though So, I guess I'm thinking I will have the whole summer to really focus on decorating and preparing. Lol.

    I cannot WAIT til Monday! I'm going in for my 12 week appointment. I'm kind of nervous though because the past 2 days, I haven't really "felt" pregnant. Anyone else losing any symptoms? I really didn't have any major symptoms to begin with, so I don't know if I'm just getting used to the way I felt when I first found out I was pregnant, or if something's wrong....I know my doctor will use the doppler on Moday to hear the heartbeat, but I'm really scared something is wrong and we won't find a heartbeat.

     

    Thoughts please! Thanks girls!

    @ReD9152012‌ I will pray for you. I understand your anxiety, but I'm sure you are fine! I am always thinking something is wrong, too. 12 weeks is exciting though! Good luck!

    @ReD9152012‌ Goodluck and I'm sure you'll be fine! I had to go to the ER this morning (advice line nurse made me) because I was having really strong cramps and mild bleeding.. Also I wasn't feeling pregnant anymore... But everything is fine and heart rate is 176! Here's my little nugget.. ;;)

    I got some "sounds really good" advice today! A woman told me that when I get close to time to deliver, to write down everytime I go pee in the middle of the night while I was trying to sleep because these were the times that the baby will wake up and want to feed once it gets here. She said this was true for both her children. Not sure if it's true for ALL pregnant women, but it sounded like a good piece of advice to sahre just in case....

    Had my OB appointment yesterday! Hubby got to go with me and we got to actually HEAR the heartbeat! It went from 162 on New Year's Eve to 174 as of yesterday! Doc said everything sounded great! Let us all know how your doc appointments go!!!!

    Oh! And I also asked my doctor about not having ANY pregnancy symptoms, and she said it's completely normal to not have any symptoms. She said to consider myself very lucky!

    I'm due Aug 7th as well!! This is my third pregnancy and I have 2 boys at home. I'm a single mom and trying my best to make the best of a hard situation.

    I'm due August 7th too! It's our first baby and we are freaking out! Excited too :) we were trying so we should have expected a baby would eventually be the result but it's crazy to wrap my head around it! I would love to join any email chain you guys have going. Sarahocottle at gmail.com

    Ok. Between my first appointment (12/29/2014) and my second appointment (1/19/2015) I only gained 1 pound.

     

    What kind of weight is everyone putting on?

    My appointment went very good! We heard the heartbeat (174 bpm). Doctor said all my blood work looked good. When is your appointment?

    Soooo....got another project in the works for baby! My mom gave me an old dresser. IT's missing a front drawer and needs painting. My husband and I are pulling the other drawer out, making the space where the two top drawers should be, into a shelf and painting it! This is NOT a picture of ours, but just to give y'all an idea of the project....CAN'T WAIT!!!

    My second appt is feb 5. They did a sonogram at the first appt. it was amazing. They will do blood work at the second appt and they will test for gender then, too! Super exciting! All of your projects look great! I am so busy with work right now and I'm switching positions at work next week. We haven't really bought anything for baby yet. I will have time later though. Glad your appt went well!!

    I have my second appointment set for 2/16 (president's Day). I'm trying to hit my appointments on holidays so I don't have to use my sick time at work. LOL! All these projects I have going on for baby are weekend projects. I work 8-4:30 Monday-Friday, and I'm in bed by 8pm, so projects don't get done during the week. I'm just too tired. LOL! How exciting to get the gender so quickly!!! Are you going to do a gender reveal party?! Will you let us know what the gender is?! I'm excited for you!!!

    I will let you know the gender when I know. We are not doing a gender reveal party. Im a military wife, so we are far away from friends and family. We moved here about 5 months ago and we have made some good friends here, but not enough to do a party like that. I will just do some type of announcement. Good for you for being so productive on the weekends!

I havent figured out the details yet, and it's not ideal, but I'll work with it! I gained 2.5 pounds between appts this time... And I can't believe 12 weeks is finally here!!! 2nd trimester here we come ! :smile:

    My husband and I are not finding out the baby's sex. I am afraid the doctor or nurse will slip and tell us at our next appointment February 9th. FYI- I have lost weight. OB said it was fine.

    Emphasize the point that you do NOT want to know the gender! I'm sure they'll listen

    I don't have my second appointment until next Thurs, when I will be 13 weeks and 6 days. We have been considering the name Jonnie if it's a girl and maybe John if it's a boy. My little brother passed away a few years ago and his name was John, but went by Johnny. Honest opinions?? My husband is hesitant about Jonnie for a girl bc it's a masculine name. We are thinking we could have a really feminine middle name, but we can't decide on anything that flows with Jonnie.
