I am a Case Manager for Elder Services! Extremely stressful at times but I cram my 40 hrs a week into 4 days so I can have 3 day weekends. Can't complain! But I would so love to be a SAHM if DH and I can work out the financials! (And HOPEFULLY DH will get that promotion!!!)
I'm a Medical Lab Technologist. I work in Transfusion Medicine (Blood Bank) in a large hospital. Currently I'm working part-time and staying home part-time with my almost 3 year old.
I want to take mucho time off after delivery. Like, 6 months. My job is too damn stressful, and we have enough saved to take the pay hit. Afterwards I would like to return to 80% capacity. No more working 50-60 hour weeks!
I work for myself, from home, selling insurance (mainly life and senior health). The flexibility is great and I know it will be amazing when the baby gets here. The past few weeks I have been so sick (nausea and fatigue) that I haven't been able to work at all but luckily I can't get fired for being a no-show
Unlicensed psychologist. Hoping, wishing, and dreaming of being licensed by July. I was a full time clinician and full time grad student when my 6 y.o. was born and stayed that way till she was 4. At 5 I graduated with my doctorate.
My husband and I own a Boudour photography business. We work from home and we hired a photographer to replace me just in time for me to get pregnant! Hoping she sticks through the next year or so...I'm terrified she'll leave right as I'm about to give birth!
My education is in Social Work, but I currently work as an Independent Living Skills Worker with adults with brain injuries in a group home setting.
I basically manage 8 other peoples lives- employment, finances, benefits, activities, health, and emotional well-being... meanwhile, I haven't done my own laundry in weeks, can't remember the last time I cooked a meal at home, and spend most of my time on my couch. I need a nap.

I think this is women in a nutshell. We spend all of our time making sure that the needs of others are met while our own needs fall by the wayside. Kudos to you I know social work is a very tough field to be in!
I'm a RN working in the cardiac cath lab. Starting graduate program this month to become a nurse practitioner....looks like I will be taking fall semester off though
I'm in management for the leading utility company. currently a Supervisor but just got offered promotion into corporate security as Manager. Crazy timing it would be stupid to turn down. Plus the job is San Francisco and our office has daycare on site. Expensive but handy!
Civil/environmental engineer and restaurant manager. About to go from working 70-80 hours a week to being a SAHM. Here's to hoping I don't go too crazy.
Chemical Engineer and I work in a refinery. It is not the safest work environment so I try to limit my exposure time in units that have H2S and hydrocarbon exposure. Praying for a health happy child!
