Glad to hear the contractions stopped, but sorry about the ignorant doctor and the fact that you're still in pain FX that the pain subsides soon and you have an uneventful week waiting to see your own doctor!

Oh man! I hope they go away but would def call my own doctor first thing Monday, at the very least she'll probably want to get you checked out on her own!
I'm glad you're home and he's still in there! But that on call dr sucks. I hate having questions unanswered. Hopefully the pain goes away or your dr has some answers for you.
@mangomimosa thanks for asking I actually just woke up (at noon lol) H is bringing me food in bed and I'm gonna stay up here all day. I'm currently in NO pain so FX it stays this way!
As for my dr, she is totally aware of the situation and feels keeping my original appt for Friday would be ok. As long as my pain is gone or minimal and I'm resting she didn't feel the need to see me any earlier since we confirmed my cervix is closed and we could, for the most part, manage the contractions with the fluids. I guess I'm cool with that and sort of agree I don't think seeing her earlier would so much but will DEF call and ask to be seen earlier if anything changes.
It seems that right now any activity (the contractions came on the strongest while walking around target yesterday for like 20 minutes) is what is gonna bring them back so the plan is bed rest, but not "strict bedrest." My dr emphasized no shopping, no walking longer distances than around my house for basically the duration of the pregnancy. So it's gonna be frustrating not being able to get out of the house and get the grocery shopping and other errands done but at least it's after the holidays and crazy shopping season is over. It's all worth it though! Every week milestone will mean so much more to me now.
While we were there we heard the woman next to us give birth to a baby girl and we both got a little emotional and had that "wow that's gonna be us" moment when we heard that cry. H was so sweet and supportive and is taking care of everything at home so far. I'm just really hoping we can avoid any more trips to the hospital for at least 7 weeks.
I'm sorry for the pain and on and off contractions I would get contractions for hours at night, for over a month before I had DD (I was induced). Hopefully the same thing happens and he stays tight for a while.
I'm so sorry you've been through all of this! So glad you are home and things seem to be good right now. FX that it continues and that LO keeps cooking!
Re: In L&D *update in OP*
I'm so sorry you're going through this.
