No baby Janda! Stay in there buddy!! I hope the contractions stop fast. Please keep us posted! Glad the IV is helping. Are they giving you meds to stop them or just fluids? I have no idea in that situation, just curious.
@chaysefaith were you dilated at first or was it just contractions?
Just contractions when it first started happening. I did spend I want to say 2 weeks dilated before she was born, for sure the last week I was at 3cm. It was just contractions for the first several weeks. I was at the hospital in active labor twice a week though and each time they successfully stopped it.
Ahh! Missed this until just now. I'm so glad your cervix is closed but sorry you're having pain! And -- not cool, that doc. I'm sorry she blew you off. You definitely needed to be there! FX your little guy stays put for a good 2+ more months. ::hugs::
I had the same issue with the stupid on call doc when I ended up going to L&D in Austin. They weren't thorough (but the nurses were very good) and they just wanted me out.
Have you placed a call in to your dr, or do they have a 24/7 line? I would hope they'd be able to get you in before next Friday- esp knowing they confirmed contractions.
I'm glad you're home! Make use of your bed and netflix until you can be seen. hugs to you momma!
I'm glad you are home - but so sorry you have to go through the pain and the unknown. Get rest if you can - still sending lots of good thoughts your way.
Oh man @janda426 I just saw this title post and freaked out when I saw it was you. Please rest and take care of yourself. I will be thinking of you and sending you lots of positive vibes that LO stays exactly where he is! You rest, Mama.
Hi Janda, so glad to hear you are at home for now and that the little guy is okay. You are both in my thoughts. I hope he stays put and I hope you can connect with your own doctor soon. Please keep us posted.
I'm glad you're home, Janda, but sorry the doctor was such an ass. I hope the pain subsides and that baby STAYS PUT! (Hear me, LO? It's not time to come out yet!)

Yeah the nurses were great! They were taking me seriously and I feel like the dr was just like giving me vague responses and bullshitting me. She was like "sometimes if you aren't emptying your bladder enough it can irritate your uterus" I was like uh, I pee the moment I feel I have to. That's obviously not the problem. Thanks for insinuating it's something IM doing that's causing the contractions though, lady. For real- wtf pregnant woman has an issue with not emptying her bladder enough??
The nurses were on the phone with my dr the whole time and she was apparently ok with me keeping my original appt and just keeping an eye on it in the meantime. That appt is a week from today so hopefully it's smooth sailing until then.

I hope so too!! Relax but also be hyper vigilant. Don't let your doctor "assure" you against your own gut feeling. (Not to say you would, but I tend to be that person who doesn't want to "bother" others, sometimes to my own detriment).
So here's to a week of relaxation! No work, no activity, just relax if your SO is able, enlist him to be your legs and arms for a week
