We've only got first names chosen so far. Amelia for a girl and Gabriel for a boy. We want to use family names for the middle names but we can't seem to agree on one that we both like!
I'm obsessed with Penelope for a girl. For a boy I like Domenic and Dante but we havent really talked about it. I'm sure I'll change my mind 20 times after going through all the possibilities.
I'm obsessed with Penelope too! Hubby won't go for it though... Not even for a middle name I think it's so cute!
DH and I easily agreed on a girls name, Charley Reese, but we're having a difficult time picking a boys name! He still wants to go with Charlie, but I'm a teacher and had a Charlie in my class (and it was not good! Lol) but I told him id use Charles, so we somewhat agree on Charles Lawson... but I will not cave on calling him Charlie. Idk why it doesn't bother me as a girls name, I love it actually.
Well we decided since this will probably be our last child we will let the children name the baby. We told them to write all the names they like and we will choose from those. So if it is a boy our son will choose the first name and our daughter will pick the middle name. If it is a girl our daughter will choose the first name and our son will pick the middle name. We thought it was only fair since we both picked out their names :-)
This topic is so fun! I have the girl names narrowed down to Philipphine Lu or Millie Mae and for boy names I am lost! I love my husbands name, William and Oscar is also very cute but nothing really jumps out.
I am kicking around Melanie, its a classic yet under used name but the biggest draw is I love the nickname "Lainey" and to a lesser extent "Melly". Plus I kinda like the way Melanie rolls off the tongue. I am just worried the name won't mesh well with our last name
You don't need to use a nickname at all! My brothers name is William, and my parents swore he would not be "bill, will, willy, or billy" but he would just be William. Of course there's some correction you'll most likely have to do to people who try to use a nn, but if you really like the name it's worth it. And fwiw, my brother is 17 and still goes by nothing else but William.
Married July 19, 2014.
Inherited one stepson, so excited to continue our family!

ugh H decided to spring a new boy name on me today, Sterling. I love the name, but it sounds like the biggest toolbag name possible. I just picture a frat boy in a pastel polo and a pair of cubbies, with boat shoes and ray bans.
