@maryannespier :-O how much is he is sleeping during the day? 7.5 hours is short! hugs and coffee to you!
Edit: G has also been having shot nights but only because he's teething and last night it was pretty ok (one wake-up, bottle, back to sleep in his own crib)

This is normal for my Josephine, has been for ever... she never sleeps.
Parker, has been and still is my sleep champ. 12+ on the weekends.
So after all is said and done I realized that even though that crap went down there are still women here that I trust completely. Like if they lived near me I know I could leave them with my kids and with my purse laying around. So while there are still bad people in the world, or in this case I hope just misguided, I'm not going to let it stop me from trusting you crazy ladies. And some of you as if I've known you IRL for 20 years. (Which isn't that long if you're as "seasoned" as I am.)
Y'all, I tried to keep up but I failed. Cold from hell has turned into a sinus infection. I have to fly tomorrow to NY with L solo (DH is already there). I want to cry. Well, I already have, lots. Damn hormones.
Sorry to only talk about myself. I swear I read some things and tried to form coherent replies but then failed desperately.

Team kick dog. Can we also be team kick neighbor? I hate when people don't leash their dogs. I apologize if Jackson even barks at someone. I would feel horrible if he scared a child, or really anyone. Leash laws don't just protect people, they protect dogs from having to be kicked for scaring the shit out of people.
There was a huge uproar on my neighborhood moms listserv because of leashed dogs. In the local arboretum the dog owners have sort of occupied a chunk for themselves that is now de facto a leash-free zone. Which is not really legal. But since everyone does it, well, there you go. So about a month ago a mom wrote on the listserv complaining about this practice, because officially, the entire park is a leashed zone and that a dog had come bounding and barking up to her toddler daughter, she was scared, the owner got aggressive and dismissive... The thread blew up. I had no idea how many parents were SO flippant about this. The ratio of "everyone does it/MY dog is well behaved/just go somewhere else" to "yeah, this is not a good thing" was staggering. One dad in particular from a playgroup we go to was very "dog-owner's rights" and "we self-police just fine, thank you"

@Pink724 I'm so sorry. I had a sinus infection last week and got antibiotics. I'm still congested but the pressure and pain is gone.
@ramy3 - thanks. (and to @lizabethann06 and @MrsGiantPenis) I went to urgent care this morning because it is really so, so bad. I started antibiotics so hopefully that pain and pressure will be gone for me soon, too. Glad to know you are feeling better!
Also, weird thing (that is apparently sort of common with sinus infections?) - my back molars are KILLING me. Tylenol does nothing, of course.

Speaking of yesterday though. I only really got one sentence of what happened and I can't believe it's true. Probably because I have absolutely no details. But also because I am naive. If someone cares to set me straight, please do.
EDIT: I've been set straight. I didn't see a post in yesterdays thread that explained it until now. Thanks!

Nooo @Stacey099! That sucks about the cards I got half way done with my Silas photo book for the grandparents last night (almost 2 hours of work) and somehow it didn't save. I cried.

I was just trying to search the bump for a thread (which I suck at doing btw) and when I put it into google as a last ditch attempt, I got a link to a page that summarizes this board.
I agree with @sparkymcgeee about being shaken with what happened yesterday but still feeling like I trust a lot of you. I'm still a big foggy about details from yesterday but I get the gist of it. So disheartening!

Because all daily activities that don't involve the J13 scandal have obviously been put on hold. Duh. Who has time to keep up with polls when we have a 40 page spam thread!?
More spam: I have a difficult time eating in front of people. Right now I'm in the break room surrounded by sandwiches and retirement party type foods. My stomach is growling. But there's people in the hallway and they might see me.
I'm sorry! Can you retreat to your office or some other location with your prize?
We're the play area in the mall and a little girl fell off the slide. Muppet went over and kissed her. Her mom got pissed and left muttering about germs.
Lady, if you don't want your kid exposed to germs, don't bring her to a mall play area. My kid was being nice and it made you daughter start giggling instead of crying.
Fuck her.
That's the sweetest thing ever and melted my heart. What a good kid you are raising.
I'm so emotional lately. I'm not sure if it's seasonal stress, lack of sleep, or just life lately but I just started bawling my eyes out after getting the mail and opening a handful of Christmas cards from relatives and friends. I think I need to slow down and try to appreciate everything I have instead of focusing on all the negative going on right now.
Wow. .. deep thoughts with Kayla for your Wednesday afternoon! :-@

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
