@martyn17‌ You remind me of when we lied to my BIL about a cow tongue dish (a Filipino staple, really) that he ate at my mom's house. It's boiled and cooked in a mushroom soup base and really really delicious. We told him it was beef, otherwise there's no way he would even go near it. He LOVED it. So very much. He had about 3 servings of it.

He was so pissed at us when we told him later on what it really was. Like, really offended. He refuses to eat it now, even though we keep reminding him of how much he loved it.

@amparo1981‌ order the gifts from amazon Germany (or wherever inside Germany or eu) and have them sent to your dad? Electronics are usually cheaper here but not if you have to pay all the customs fees!

I think the phone was on sale from a non-amazon site that didn't have a sister site in Germany, and the camera was a similar deal. Overstock.com? No idea. (Left the finding of actual deals to the sibling. I'm just forking over my part of the dough).

Parents are coming in March, though, so it'll probably be a late Christmas/early birthday present thing.

She said one of the participants used businessdictionary.com and socialstudiesforkids.com as their only scholarly references. They are all studying for their CPAs btw.

I always bring all the bags of groceries in and put them on the floor and let Haddock play with them while I put it all away.

I turned around and he had opened the box of herb mix lettuce and was chowing down. I was shocked. He had a piece of dill hanging from his lip when I caught him. Too cute.

Sometimes when DH is out of town I wonder if I could handle two kids. Moms of two plus, I salute you.

Tess is being a little destruction tornado right now. Literally just took out the pepper out of the pantry, opened it, and shook pepper all over the floor.

No. She was bored by it so went for the cumin before I stopped her.

Thank you for your faith. I literally don't know how its done. I want another baby and I want T to have a sib, but I fear it may be a case of being promoted to incompetence. With time and a little luck, we shall see.

While I was grocery shopping earlier I had socks on Haddock but not shoes. It was in the 50's here today and I didn't plan to let him out of the cart. Some man commented on his lack of shoes and it being winter :-??

It made me feel like a bad mom for rushing out of the house without putting shoes on him.

@hollandmama I have 6 months til P's 2nd birthday (as of yesterday!). I don't know where the time goes!

Up until last week, P refused to eat most veggies. Raw, cooked, whatever. I told him that I was putting it on my list of things to talk to the pedi about at his appt. A few days later, he started eating veggies with no fight! He even ate vegetable soup twice in one day! I joked with DH that he just didn't want me telling the pedi on him lol

I don't really lie to my kids about what they're eating (liars!! :^o ), but I like to make them sound fun. For example, chicken Parmesan: "Look, I pretty much made big chicken nuggets with pizza on top!" Or quesadillas: "It's like grilled cheese that you get to dip in sour cream!"
