Maple my guess is teething, and it's been jacking up our sleep for the past 2 weeks or more. I couldn't feel anything, but her ped said that her upper gums were swollen, so her teeth were getting ready to come through. And she has been chewing on my nipples too. Try giving her ibuprofen before bed one night and see if it makes a difference.

@theultimatesak I really admire your positive outlook, it can be so hard to "see straight" during such tough days.
ha ha, thanks. I figure I can suck it up and look for the best in things or be miserable along with them. And who wants to choose to be miserable? Although the littlest baby just started puking too, so we'll see how much of that outlook is sticking around by the time my husband gets home
Hang in there & cyberhugs! Your thankfulness helped put my grumbling in perspective so I stopped. Do all things without grumbling was in my head after your post.
I started trying to do nap time an hour and a half ago. And he *just* fell asleep. Seriously, I think more than 50% of my work day as a SAHM is spent trying to get DS to eat or sleep. I literally spend most of my time trying to convince DS to do things that are not only awesome, but keep him alive. Toddlers are silly creatures.
I'm making TJ's chicken and rice again for dinner. This time, I used boneless skinless thighs and I added some Penzey's Ranch seasoning and dried chives. I can't wait to try it.
Put
your chicken breasts in a casserole dish and season with lemon juice, salt,
pepper, and paprika. In a sauce pan, bring 3 cups of water, half a stick
of butter (or a good glug of olive oil), a tablespoon of italian seasoning, and
a packet of lipton onion soup mix to a boil. Pour one cup of rice in once
it comes to a boil, and pour over the chicken breasts. Bake at 350 till
chicken is done and rice has absorbed the water - about 45 minutes.
(Cover if it starts to get brown.) Yummy yummy yum.
Box-free Version:
Chop and caramelize a couple of medium sized onions to use instead of the onion soup mix. Use chicken broth instead of water. Salt accordingly.
awesome, stoney! what did you do differently this time?
I used boneless, skinless thighs. Seasoned them like TJ does. Then caramelized 2 med chopped onions, added 3 cups chicken broth, 1/2 stick unsalted butter, 1 teaspoon basil, 1 teaspoon oregano, 2 scant tablespoons Penzey's Ranch dressing seasoning and 1 tablespoon dried chives plus the cup of rice. Baked as usual. Sooooo good.
