And you know what?  Actually I got called again shortly after, but, in that state, you are exempt from jury duty for like five years after you've done it so I just had to prove that I had already gone recently and I didn't have to go again.

DH had to go to jury duty a few weeks ago. He wasn't selected, and said there was lots of sitting around. I just got called for jury duty in the county I haven't lived in for 3years.

@ovenrack - I'm pretty sure I would have nothing appropriate to wear to a memorial service that would be nursing friendly at this point either. If it makes you feel any better, this past summer I helped some friends of a friend throw said friend a baby shower. One of the friends (who is a hospital administrator and seemed super put-together) sat in a supply room to nurse b/c she had worn her only clean dress and it basically required her to undo everything from the waist up in order to feed the baby.

ETA I am not sure who the memorial service is for, but I am sending condolences and warm thoughts.

'What a face' is only questionable in person. On Facebook there's no need to comment at all when you're saved by a 'like' button. Any comment is positive unless you have a reason to suspect that this person would say something passive aggressive to hurt you.

Yeah @Mapleme‌ I sometimes use that phrase, "what a face!" But would say it with an exclamation of excitement. Don't worry...you know she's cute

I had some derp cats.  One would drool and then sneeze.  It was a tricky balance to pet him enough that he was happy, but avoid the sneeze.

Lol, it's going fine. I'm making cookie boxes for Mom's work. She pays me to do this every year. I can't give people cookies I haven't tasted, so clean eating is on hold for  a day.

I got my hair cut tonight. I took a risk and went for bangs a la Rory, but they came out much more Jim Carey from Dumb and Dumber.

ETA The best part was that DH coached N to tell me my hair looked nice when I got home. He goes, "What are you supposed to say about Mommy's hair?" N says,"It looks funny!"

Guys, I totally just called the sheriff's office on a car with an unattended child. He's maybe six yrs old. By himself in his car seat in a running vehicle. In a busy Wegman's parking lot.

I've never made a call like that before but it seriously bugged me that someone would do that. I'm too much of a pansy to actually talk to an officer but I'm nursing A and watching from the car.

Yeah I hate that I had to call, but what if someone car jacked the vehicle while he was in it, ya know?

I saw the officer pull in, check on the vehicle, then go inside and presumably page the car's owner. It was 20 min from the time I called the sheriff's office until the woman came out, put a few bags in the car, and took the boy out to walk back in the store. Probably to have a nice chat with the officer.

So he was alone for at least 20 min. Not exactly a quick trip in to the store. I hope it was a nanny and not his mom. And I hope having the cops called on her was a wake up call.

There was just an amber alert yesterday or the day before about a kid/baby being in the back of a car that was stolen.

This just happened around here last week. Lady filled up her gas tank and left a 9 month old in the car while she went in to pay and someone stole the car in that short of a time.
