Re: Randomonium Emporium

  • At one point in life I owned a george foreman grill, a waffle iron, a quesedilla maker ,and a grilled cheese maker. All essentially the same product. Most were gifts.
    Which ones did you buy?

    Nordic Ware Waffled Pancake Pan
Oh my gosh. Do you have any idea how long it would take for me to cook enough waffles for my family with that pan?
Thats ok, just get this https://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/breville-smart-waffle-maker/?pkey=cwaffle-bread-makers&cm_src=waffle-bread-makers||NoFacet-_-NoFacet-_--_-

    its on SALE!
I better be able to just throw flour, sugar, eggs, butter, etc in that thing and it pops out waffles.

  • Speaking of kitchen supplies.  I need another spatula.

The one I've had for years is actually from WS and has held up without issue.  I just want a second one.

Does anyone have one they would recommend?  Otherwise I'm just going to buy a $10 from them again.

I love this food network one from Kohls.  They're entirely silicone, so they're so much easier to take care of.
Do they stand up to the frying pan?  I use mine to make eggs.

  • I just sent in my resignation letter to my boss. I don't know why I'm having mixed emotions about it,they didn't treat me very well and the pay wasn't that great. The plan was always for me to become a stay at home mom after our daughter was born. I guess leaving my coworkers and the workforce has me feeling a little down.

  • Here we go:
    Nordic Ware Waffled Pancake Pan
I want this. I could always steal the cast one from my parents. But I dunno how well that would work on the glass top.
I use cast iron on the glass top all the time. I was worried about it when we got this stove, but it hasn't been a problem. Just FYI. Also, I want waffles now too.

  • I never considered that cast iron and the glass top would be an issue. It hasn't been for me at all.
I would think it would heat more evenly
I totally does.  Cast iron is my favorite.  The trick is to make sure you preheat it and not to use as high of a heat as you think you need because it gets super hot after awhile.
  • Maple I think you can take the regular robitussin. Or cough drops. And hot lemon and honey water.

  • When I get chest congestion the only that helps is my ventolin inhaler. I remember being told it was okay during pregnancy, but I can't remember if it's okay while BF. I didn't even think to ask, since I only need it when the asthma flares up (usually in the wake of a cold or flu).

Maybe you could try some aromatherapy, like this: https://www.vicariouslyvintage.com/2012/05/04/homemade-steam-inhaler/
  • YES!  I know more thank SAK!

That sucks stringy.  People are jerks.

  • They have bacon flavored ritz
At thanksgiving I saw bacon flavored canned frosting at the store.
Ugh. This sounds about as appealing as the sweet flavors of potato chips.
