This time of year is just busy. We seriously have something going on every day/evening until January. Yikes! Tonight is Hailey's elementary Christmas concert. She is so excited and I'm sure it'll be cute!
Eli thought that 4:10 would be a great time to start his day. I tried for an hour to get him back down but not happening. Coffee is brewing!
I'm up early to walk on the treadmill. Boring. :-(

Good Morning! I've been bump absent for a couple weeks, but have missed everyone! We sold my moms house and are moving into the new house we bought in january so every free minute has been packing up, but I'm hoping to catch up today if work and Liam allow . Anyway! Hope everyone is well and have a great Monday! ~O)
@maryannespier sorry for the nightmares... I do hope they don't come back and yay! Giles is sleeping better and better! 0-1 wake up nights for me count as STTN nights :P btw, I had a horrible patch of nightmares nights when LO was born, I was constantly dreaming that he was about to fall (from crib, changer, arms, etc...) and I couldn't move to prevent it... it was so horrible and they kept me awake so many nights
@Caitable25 good luck with packing, I can't imagine packing and xmas at the same time ...
@juliedave151 ugh, I also need to go xmas shopping this week and I have no idea when I will be able to do it...

Also, even if you won't believe me, G never ever had a meltdown in public before yesterday... he is a quiet boy and even when he gets angry it's quite difficult that he will actually start crying... it's not like we don't go out, we have even taken 20 flights with him and we were meltdown free...
Well, yesterday we went to IKEA because I needed some stuff and wow, I know now what a public meltdown feels like... it was horrible, you guise! He started crying and screaming bloody murder when we had to leave (he was having so much fun opening drawers and stuff), then when I grabbed him he started pulling my hair and scratching my face while screaming (WTF?!?! never done that before) and when I turned him forward so his hands wouldn't reach my head, he started scratching his own face! and also biting his hands so I put him on the floor and he ran away from us... I grabbed him again and started singing to him in a hopeless way while he was arching his back in an attempt to run away again... it lasted like 5 minutes but it felt like an hour until we got to the car and I could strap him to the seat (which he hated)... then he calmed down as soon as I started the car...
It broke my heart seeing him in such a state, I didn't lose my patience but I felt guilty of bringing him there, it was the end of the afternoon and I think he is teething so it made matters worse... now he has his own teeth marks in his little hand...

@maryannespier he was so crazy that his eyes were closed must of the time so distraction was out of the questions
@Citrusfamily yes, that's exactly the word "off guard", I didn't see it coming and it also never happened before so the entire time I was thinking "WTF WTF WTF WTF?" I kind of felt like a headless chicken...

@maryannespier, what a scary dream! I hate those. I'm sure that your DH understood. >:D<
@hollandmama, I'm sorry. Poor little guy....tantrums happen. It sounds like you handled it the best that you could. >:D<
A busy week for us here too. I was to have a second interview for one of the jobs that I am vying for but it was cancelled due to a change in the President's schedule. I am really hoping that's not a sign.
This past summer, our neighbors gave us babysitting coupons as a thank you for watching their dogs while they were on vacation. DH and I are cashing one in this coming Friday so that we can have a date night and do some Christmas shopping. I can't wait.
Yesterday after nap and this morning DD played quietly in her crib with her dolly and pooh bear and entertained herself for a good 20+ mins. Who is this child?
We had our first full blown meltdown in public on Friday at Target. She screamed bloody murder while I was trying a couple shirts on and DH was holding her. The judgey looks... Seriously.
I was in the grocery the other day and a toddler was melting down. Screaming so loud that you could hear it throughout the store. The mom was calm. I passed them in the frozen food area and just smiled at her. I'm sure everyone was giving judgey looks like @stephyfaith said. I felt like it was the right thing to do. I may be there someday too
Sleep was decent. Today expense reports for all year are due so I will be submitting a few more. My school presentation is tonight. So I'll be prepping for that and putting some final touches on paper 2.
V and I leave Thursday for Dallas. @casey78 I will text you so we can GTG.
@rondokye I hope your interview is rescheduled soon the coupons sound great, I'm dying for a date night but I don't trust anyone around to look after G and evenings can be tough with him...
@stephyfaith yep, I was also judged yesterday for the meltdown because I don't know if Dutch kids are robots but seriously after 5 years living here I have seen like 1 tantrum from a Dutch kid...

Good morning! I have the day off which is nice. Yesterday was a bit crazy. This morning we're running to a soap store and a hippy pharmacy. Possibly the library as I finished The Paris Wife last night. I'm excited to get out and about for some fun!
Morning j13! Not sure if I am ready to start this new week but it is here whether I like it or not.
Busy week of work tasks, Christmas parties and overdue oil changes. hope I can fit in some Christmas shopping this week because I hate waiting until the last minute (when though I always seem to)
@hollandmama I'm so sorry. I know these meltdowns are no fun!
I missed the whole weekend of events on TB. We went car shopping Saturday and after six hours and no car, we walked out. Car buying is wayyyyy too stressful when you are irrational. Yesterday, I woke up so tight and sore, my husband suggested a walk after I got done stretching. I spent the rest of the day and night paying for that walk as I had even more stomach tightening and my legs were so sore. I can't believe I used to run marathons. My husband had a banquet that we went to and our little guy wanted to run around the whole time. Since DH was speaking, I was on toddler watch and ended up sitting down and crying (again) because it was hurting so bad to get up and chase, then bend down, and pick him up. I have a feeling today is going to be tough too. I just wish I wasn't this uncomfortable
Jealous of all these Christmas parties! We have exactly 0 to go to. I agree @LauraC122 about rainy crap in December! I want fluffy snow so I can pull G around in his sled instead of the living room.
Good morning everyone! Busy week at work for me, DH is out of town all week, and I have a bad feeling Tess is coming down with a cold. Think healthy thoughts!

Haha @casey78 DH said he kept getting interrupted Saturday while preparing lunch. G would grab his hand and drag him to the sled and then sit down. These kids.... )
Sounds like these tantruming babies all planned their operation this weekend. We had a horrible experience eating out last night with LO. She terrorized us and all of Friday's. She would scream whenever she was in the high chair or our laps. We'd let her roam but then she kept trying to pull on people's coats or reaching over their tables. When we pick her up, she'd do the limp noodle and shriek. She even threw herself on the floor in front of people waiting to be seated. It was horrible.
In hindsight, I suppose we should've left early. But we were starving and would've taken another 40 mins to get home. We've never scarfed food down so fast in our lives.
Welcome to toddlerhood, eh?
ETA I should mention that once we strapped her in the car seat on our way home, she was happy as a clam. She kept clapping her hands and giggling. POSESSED.
@chiboo9 oh my! now I can't even imagine going out to dinner with G, last time we ate out he didn't walk yet so it as easy... we're not stepping into a restaurant until he's 5 :P

@MrsGiantPenis I wish. He ate a leftover bag of Cheetos @lancomechica how was your date night? We too had our first night out for just us, no work or school/church obligations. It was amazing!!
@juliedave151 hi just bc I like you:)
Thanks for asking It was fun! We saw Dumb and Dumber 2 and had dinner. It wasn't anything huge but I think we see more of these coming in the future. It was nice to just put everything on hold for a few hours.
Dropped the girls off early for school because they have their workout thing. Cal and I went to the grocery store, that's $400 I want back.. I'm getting so nervous for my a/s in a week, think good thoughts mer. Hugs and coffee to all.
Hope it all goes well!! I think our grocery bills are outrageous! I can't imagine what you and @citrusfamily spend on food. Good lawd!
@simone711@lancomechica I am jealous... I want to meet @casey78( maybe I should fly through Dallas next time I go see my family... or maybe that would be too stalky...

My child is eating cheerios! He's never been interested before. Add a banana and easy breakfast FTW! I am nervous because it took him 2 hours to ask for breakfast. Usually. He asks for it 10 mins after wake up. This along with sleeping in.... [-O< hoping he's not sick

@stacey099 I am surprised your DH's company doesn't do a holiday party.
@maryannespier I don't feel like I've had a dream in years! I'm ok with that, though, because I have bad nightmares, too.
On toddler meltdowns... My SO gave our LO a BUTTER KNIFE to play with at lunch yesterday! A knife, ugh. When he wanted out of the high chair I took the knife away and... whoa... holy meltdown!
I picked him up and gave the knife back and walked out to the bar. He wouldn't have gotten the knife back if my SO's 90 year old uncle wasn't trying to give a serious speech.
I still don't understand what made my SO even think that was an appropriate "toy" but I was in the bathroom when it was given.
@somerandomchick but what if she stuck it in her mouth or eye or jabbed herself in the face with it? It just seemed dangerous to me. Especially since he was using it as a serial killer would.
I have to go pick up my fruit this evening from FFA. What the heck am I going to do with all of it? Maybe I'll dole some out to family, don't think I needed $59.00 worth of tangelos and grapefruit...

I need to make a chiropractor appt too. I haven't been to ours since June and I'm dying lol
And it's grocery day. I loathe grocery shopping.
