My husband works in the music industry. He is a publisher for Warner Chappell, basically who A&R reps bring potential hopefuls to and him and a team decides whether or not to bid to sign for them for Warner Records. He mainly works with the alternative/indie rock genre, though he has done it all. He also works for his dad a lot, who is a music row lawyer. He actually has an accounting degree and also handles a lot of business affairs for people in the entertainment industry. He also has a real estate degree and rents out corporate homes and houses to traveling musicians.

He has also partnered with two well known musicians and C3 Productions (Lollapalooza, Horde, etc.) and formed a music festival in Kentucky that ran for three years. They sold the rights to it and the name got changed but now it's a HUGE festival. Kinda wish we still had partnership/ownership but oh well.

My DH works in the oil fields but is currently out on workman's comp due to a 2000 pound pumper weight falling on his right foot back in August. Thank goodness his steel toed boots held up and did not chop of his toes! We are hoping he will be able to return to work soon.

I have a oil field DH as well. Well sorta he actually is a landman, and sits in court houses and finds out who owns what land so another company can use that land to build a oil pipeline.

My hubby is a Marine Vet who now works for a large insurance company as an insurance claims rep for auto and homes. When he comes home I have no clue what he's talking about.
I work as a assistant wedding planner for a venue in the city.

My SO is a long haul truck driver. He is gone for a month at a time and then only home for 4 days before he leaves again. He is planning on getting a local driving job before or when the baby gets here though.

DH is a Senior Accountant for one of the world's largest fashion companies. I'm in HR. We met at work, but I've since moved to work for the most beloved and iconic lifestyle and book retailer in the country. Fellow Canadians you'll know who I'm talking about. Love love love that we get great discounts on clothes and books! We're both pretty nerdy.

My husband is a academic reseacher, and he's very good at what he does. It does mean that he's away quite a lot for conferences and seminars... And unfortunately I will be spending Christmas and New Years without him this year because of his work...

@MrsKindy40‌ I'm an occupational therapist, and I have tons of PT friends! One specifically works in women's health. I have never been more thankful for them right now. They have given me tips on fixing/ preventing back pain, pelvic issues, the list goes on. I love me some PTs.

My DH is a dentist. He works with 2 other docs, one will be retiring in the next few years, so the plan is for DH to buy in and become 50% owner of the practice. We'll see!

He had to put in for his vacation early because his assistant will have to be off at the same time. He chose the week of my due date, so I hope that works out. He only works 4 days a week, so that helps a little if the dates are off, he'll still be home quite a bit.

My DH is a consultant. He travels Monday through Friday most weeks which will make things interesting once the baby comes but we will figure it out. I may end up staying home or working part time. If I do stay home I'm looking forward to the three of us frequently taking advantage of his travel perks!

My husband is Active Duty in the US Navy! He works as an IT. He deploys in two weeks and comes back in October, then it's off to Japan for us!

Surprising no marketing or PR husbands on here! My DH and I do the same thing we're both in public relations (we used to work together at an agency in Boston). He's a manager at an agency in SF now and specializes in gaming and consumer tech PR. I'm so proud of him, he's so good at what he does - and I'm a tough judge because I'm steeped in it myself:)

My BF is an electrician (working on his journey mans license) he works for his fathers business. I appreciate how hard of a worker he is 12 hour days during the weekdays and 8 hour days on weekends doing paper work. One day he'll own this business so I try to keep a positive mind set when he gets off track.

Wow so sorry I just saw this! We are moving hopefully somewhere close to Quantico, im not sure if that is northern? If you have any recommendations for a birthing center I would appreciate it. I have a place here I really liked and now I am moving so I want to find something asap!

DH is is in resident limbo right now. He started out in surgery and decided to switch into a different specialty. He'll start the new residency in July and in the meantime works nights at a local hospital. Having a May baby is really good timing because he'll be able to spend time with us before residency hell begins again.

The annoying part is his having to request off for the birth. If I deliver late then we'll have wasted precious vacation time, if I delivery early it will be hard for him to get off from work. Ugh. What are others in this situation doing? I'm thinking as a FTM its best to assume I'll be 40 weeks +.
