He operates two of his family's businesses. An upscale retail store and a boat tour/cruise company. We work together and I'm not sure how he's been able to put up with me!
I joke that with him it's like Chandler from Friends...I can't understand it all, much less explain it. Something in finance, working with banks, foreclosures, and people flipping homes.
Me 33, DH 37 -- TTC since Jan'12 -- Low AMH (0.78) & endo, SA w/ low motility IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN IVF 1.2: 8R 6M 4F -- 2 blastocysts frozen, FET 8/15 = BFP!! Beta #s = 445;1,098; 9,545 -- EDD 5/2 -- Team Pink!
DH is a lawyer with his own shop. Pretty interesting both being lawyers... our arguments get impassioned and our positions are always very well supported, haha!
Youth group advisor. I don't work (former teacher), so we don't make much money. But DH is so amazing at inspiring those kids, I wouldn't have him doing anything else.

What type of law?
My DH is a lawyer too. He loves his job. I do part time work from home editing journal articles for my cousins wife, who is a social work professor. And take care of our one year old.
Mine is AD Air Force. He is a computer programmer. He did just spend 4 years as an instructor teaching programming to the tech school students. Now, he's just back to doing programming, which I think he really enjoys. I imagine when his 20 years is up, he will be doing something similar.
My husband is a high school science teacher and head baseball coach. He used to be in business, but he made the decision to return to his first love which is teaching/coaching. He is such a great role model to those kids :x
My husband is in the IB for a firm here in NYC. You don't want to know the hours he works. He is looking to move into real estate development. Which would be a much better fit for him. He and I renovated our apartment here and he got the real estate bug.
My hubby is a Sr. VP at a bank that oversees the books for one of the larger international hedge funds. He started out as a CPA once upon a time. Works a ton.
He is an oil & gas corporate accountant and working on his CPA, which will be tough with the little one but he's determined to get it done!
I took my CPA when I was 8 months preg and as big as a house. I knew I had to get it done before my second came along. Tell him good luck!!!!
My husband is a Family Practice MD but works as a Hospitalist and a Hospice Director.
That's awesome, I'll make sure to pass along the story so he won't have ANY excuses

This was 16 years ago and things were different I was testing for 2 days straight for 8hrs a day. My back was killing me (thanks to the 56 extra lbs) they wouldn't allow me to put a jacket behind my back to support my back in those uncomfortable seats. They make you wait a few hours before you can get up to stretch your legs or take a pee break. I was dying my son was dancing on my bladder. A worker asked me the first day when my due date was I said in 2 days, hoping I'd get sympathy and be allowed a jacket or early pee break, nope, them bitches were strict. Seriously though, hardest damn test ever, go easy on him.
My H is in the army national guard and has done two tours in Iraq. When he is not at drill, he drives buses for NYC. Not a glorious job but it pays well and we have great benefits. It will probably give me the ability to go to part time work after baby is born.
DH is active duty Navy, a pilot currently in Advanced Flight Training. We just moved a week ago from where he did Primary training and we are thrilled because at the end of Primary he was able to select the plane he has always wanted to fly. I can't wait for him to be done with flight school and actually join the fleet as a winged aviator next summer.
My honey is a desil mechanic/ any thing mechanic and welder for a large family business in Oregon. He is a jack of all trades. He works so hard for us all the time.
DH just got promoted to Data Scientist a few weeks ago. He works in analytics, some weird combo of math and programming. I actually just asked how I would describe his jobs, and he used words like predictive statistics. predictive modeling, machine learning and high performance computing...He talks to me about work all the time, but honestly I only understand like 10% of what he is saying haha. His promotion came just in time, I've been freaking out about what we're going to do financially when LO comes!
Re: What does your DH/SO do for a living?
My DH is an illustrator. He does comic book art, children’s book art, apparel, and art for advertising.
So talented, and I’m very proud of him!

Military families, I don't know how y'all do it sometimes. Thank you for your sacrifices.

Mine is an orthopedic surgeon currently in residency. Long hours and lonely nights now, but it'll be worth it someday.
CPA is tough! Good luck to him. I remember my hubby studying 12 hours a day...
