Any STM have any issues with days after vaccines? DS got his 2 mo shots on Friday. Was great Friday and yesterday ... Last night he was a completely different baby. Up all night, fussy and crying. No fever or other side affects they tell you about. Just wondering if it could have something to do with them. I know they say some things can still come up 2-3 days after the shots.

Or my 9 week old has totally lost his shit? Lol
Yes it's normal, my DD was fussy for three days after her first round of shots. Her pedi told me she would be but if those symptoms are accompanied with fever or rash then I needed to call the office so she could be seen. It's also normal for the injection site to be a little pink for a couple of days, but should never turn red.
LO seems to be trying her damnedest not to let me sleep ever again. Tomorrow and Tuesday are gonna be interesting, I suppose I can sleep on Wednesday right? Remind me again why I wanted to EBF?
DD just woke up. I'm hoping this isn't the start of another rough night, and I hope this is just part of her six week spurt. Here's to hoping and praying that's all this b/c this will not fly in a couple of weeks. I will need all the energy that I can get to be able to deal with my callers.
Hi ladies. I lurk on this thread every night but haven't posted til now. It's nice to not feel alone!
I'm super irritated right now because it's midnight. We had dinner at my MIL's and we are still here...I knew it would be a late night but really thought we'd be home by now. So I am currently in my MIL's bedroom feeding LO. We will probably go home after this but the timing sucks since it will take us about 40 minutes to get home (I will be be driving....so can't sleep in the car), and then once we get home LO will probably be sleeping but will want to eat again in like another hour...so maybe I'll be in bed by 3:00am
I'm exhausted. I tried to nap twice yesterday and both times DH was incredibly loud or couldn't care for LO long enough for me to sleep. Now he is asleep while LO and I are wide awake. But when I can sleep I keep having these crazy dreams that wake me up in a full blown panic attack.
Been dealing with an overly tired LO for the past couple of nights, no thanks to DH. It's nice that he lets me get some sleep but he needs to try and help LO sleep too so that I'm not dealing with a screaming child that needs to just close his eyes!

@str13 I'm trying REALLY hard to not be homicidal. We were celebrating DHs bday so I'm just going with the flow. But of course he got to sleep the whole car ride home, and is already asleep now and we just got home 15 mins ago. It's 1:54 am. I'm feeding LO a "snack" since she was miss bright eyes when we got home and I'm desperate for sleep. If DH complains about the white noise machine being too loud or the room being "too hot" tonight though I'm going to whack him on the head.
Think I'll be sleeping on the couch tonight. Don't even want to deal with dh . idk what his issue is but he's grumpy and I've had it. There is no such thing as burping a baby too loud..
Dear baby can you go back to sleeping from 10-6? It was really nice, why you think you have to wake up at 3 the last two nights idk but I don't like it. Love your irrational sleepy mamma.
Alright baby, I like you again. After our late night she slept from 2am-8am. I bet I could even convince DH that I deserve a nap today since he's still sleeping.
Ugh the new neighbor kids are driving me insane! And my dogs. Can they go up and down their porch any more times in a day and maybe a little louder cause I can't quite hear them when I'm in my laundry room at the back of the house. Very nice and adorable boys ... But man so loud.
Also their mom is so dramatic. We were outside in our fenced in backyard and she comes from the side of their house and scared the crap out of my Australian cattle dog who ran to that side of the fence and barked and jumped on the fence ... Screaming and flailing are not gonna help you with a dog that can't even get at you. Use your back door damn it.

That's us every time that we go to MIL's. My husband works from home at night, and since we do laundry and use the internet over there, we always go over late. We went last night and I got mad b/c he asked me if I was ready to go at 11. I thought, this is great, we'll be home before midnight for once. No luck. We didn't leave for another hour and a half. I feel you.
So, we went to bed at 8:30 and it's now 10:30. Was I wrong for thinking of we went to bed earlier, we'd get more sleep? Usually, when LO is asleep by 9, he sleeps until at least 12am or even later sometimes. Maybe it's because he had a shot today and we were out all day? I hope this is a one time thing, because I'm sooo tired and I can't go back to two hours in between feeds. I just got done doing that mess for leaps and growth spurts.
I was on the phone with my grandma (and she's going on about her friend in rehab at the nursing home) I come inside and G is screaming her freaking head off! And DH is sitting next to her watching tv. Umm. You okay there buddy? That kid next to you that's screaming like she's being murdered, she belongs to you dude. He said he rocked her and tried everything. So I took over, she had a poop diaper and needed to be fed. What exactly *did* you do DH? Provide moral support until I got back??
@str13 my DH did pretty much the same thing when I went for my post partum check a few weeks ago. I left him a bottle in the fridge to give to DD in case she got hungry while I was gone, even though I feed her right before I left. I wasn't even gone two hours. He calls me when I'm leaving the office all stressed out because he can't get her to stop crying. He "tried everything" too. When I got back, the kid was sucking her hand so hard that I thought she was going to bite off her thumb and eat it if she could. Lol. The bottle was still in the fridge.
My DH got up at the same time we did to go to th bathroom. LO screamed through her diaper change and while I made a bottle. DH went straight back go bed. Didn't come out to see if he could help or what was wrong. I swear I'm going to throat punch him one day. Her second leap should be starting any day. I'm way to sleep deprived for this.
DS has been up nonstop! I'm so tired and DH is just snoring away in the next room. I need to look up the wonder weeks, he's 8 weeks old and I believe another leap is happening. I would just like some sleep!

Woke up feeling like I am going to be sick and was able to keep lo asleep for almost another hour by giving him his pacifier in hopes that I would feel better. No such luck. Made it through feeding him and now hoping to get him back into his bed so I can feel awful without having to worry about waking him up tossing and turning. I see another long day coming tomorrow.
Doing better so far tonight. Still tired (who isn't), but feeling a little better. At the in laws, doing laundry, and nursing the baby. We have a massive grocery shopping trip to do tomorrow, I hope that I can get some sleep tonight with all the rain. :-)
I got her to go down in the pnp... after WEEKS of only going in her swing she is down in the pnp... first step the pnp, next step her crib... fingers crossed she gives me a good sleep since she is in there for the first time since her second week of life.
Eye twitching, stabbing rage at DH right now. I get home from work and he damn throws DS at me the minute I'm through the door. "Tag you're it" really buddy. I spend from 6 am to 430pm with him everyday the. Work 5-10 Monday-Wednesday. And you can't handle 5 fucking hours. Been home since 1030 ... And got DS asleep within a half hour.
Nothing like my king size bed after sleeping on a love seat all week!
Lo slept 6.5 hours too! I'm really hoping leap week isn't going to screw with that. Been feeding for 30 mins. Come on hungry hippo, let's go back to sleep!
Why is pooping so hard, yo? He struggles and cries so much to get them out. I don't know what to do for him. It's like a marathon every morning for hours!
DS is FINALLY asleep. DD is nursing againand we are still at Nana's. We ended up spending the night b/c DH is still working and its still raining. DH is concerned the highway maybe starting to flood. Apparently, its supposed to be like this for three days. We'll see what happens. At least it finally cooled off around here. :-)
