I have a list a mile long for girls, but am struggling for boy names. My partner hates all the ones I come up with and so far his only suggestion is batman! Lol
DH wouldn't even consider talking about baby names when we were TTC, as he though it was putting the cart before the horse. I'm planning on buying a book of baby names soon so that we can browse through them and mark some of our favorites.
No first names yet, but we are doing my maiden name as a middle name if we have a girl (I'm the last of my bloodline) and my partners traditional spelling of his name for a boy--Antony. Middle names seem like a simpler task!
For a girl, we both love either Elodie Irene (Irene is my Grandmother's name who passed away in August) or Hadley Irene. For a boy we both love Jack.. middle name is undecided, though. I'm sure we'll change our minds a million times before the baby comes, though!
I've got names picked out for both gender. Right now we're just calling the baby Little N because boy or girl the baby will still have a first name with the letter N haha. My SO said since this is my first child I could name 'em which was easy. I've had names picked out for kids since I was like 16.
Girl would be Penelope Rose (NN Penny). Boy would be a long-time family name with my dad's name as the middle that I don't feel like posting because it is very google-able and I'm trying not to be found.

We have a running list, many of them are leftovers from DD1 since we were team green with her and most likely will be again.
If we have one boy, it will most likely be Theodore David. Theodore because we like it and it means gift from God (we waited a while for this little bean) and David is DH's FN. Oliver Joseph is a second contender but has gotten popular.
Our girl front-runner was Caroline Rose (Rose is my Grandma's name) but I'm unsure if I want two DD's to have a C name since our last name is C. Thus, we are highly considering Jane as a FN because I think it matches Claire (DD) in terms of strength and clarity. Middle name might be Frances for my other grandmother.
For a girl we like Violet Elena (we already have a girl with a V name so I want to keep that going) and for a boy we like Ezra McKinley (McKinley is my maiden name).
We really like Rowan, Elise, Claire and Lucy for girls. For boys, Will, Lucas, Drew and Noah. I have been obsessed with names for long before we found out we're pregnant!

I really like the name Teagan and we have discussed using it for a girl-I was happy to see other ppl using it b/c I think it is fairly uncommon I also like Aiofe (ae-fah) and we might use Lynn as a middle name since it is mother's maiden name.
We're not sure of boys names but probably traditional names like William, Thomas or Kevin (family name).
I'm excited to get to the point of needing a name haha
DH wants to wait until we have our first ultrasound before starting to talk about names, but I've been thinking about names for months! I really like Isaiah, James, or Luke for a boy, and Eva, Sophia, or Maria for a girl.
Sloane, Quinn, Layla, Liv (DH hates it), Halle, Olive (nn Liv), Penelope (nn Penny), Kiera, Ivy, Leni, Rae (father's middle name I'd love to use it but DH hates it as a first name)

Our DS name is Everett James, and I absolutely love it! So I'm really struggling with picking a name this time. I knew his from the very beginning.
With our first we had Moira (pronounced Maura) Claire picked if it was a girl and Owen Patrick for boy we changed it to Delaney Grace last minute when she was born, I think our original names are still on the table we haven't discussed yet
We've had our boys name picked out for a few years now, Calvin Henry. Calvin after my grandfather and Henry after his grandfather and father who passed away earlier this year. I'm not sure I want to share it though, because I think our parents would be bummed if we changed our minds at the last minute.
MH refuses to think about girls names, because he's POSITIVE it will be a boy, but I really like Abigail (I'm not crazy about Abby though, not sure what to do about that...), Charlotte and Eleanor.
So many great ideas though, makes me consider adding some to my list...
If this baby is a boy, he is Caleb Joshua. Caleb because we like it, Joshua because his Godfather's name is Joshua. Girl will be Eryn Marie. Eryn after my best friend who passed away 8 years ago (holy crap eight? sheesh time is flying). Marie because Mary is the name of her Godmother, her Great-Grandmother, Marie is th emiddle name of another Great-Grandmother and Marie is French for Mary (I'm a French teacher). So it all kind of adds up in our heads lol.
Our current favorites are Ian Carroll or Avery Carolyn in honor of DH's grandmother Carol who recently passed away. DH's middle name is also IHO a grandmother who's passed away so it seems a nice connection. The plan is to come up with a few more favorites after we find out the sex so we have a short list in the delivery room. I love hearing everyone's favorites!!
I've already changed my mind on girl names. Today I'm loving Kiera Michelle.... Kiera I just like and Michelle was my sisters middle name, she passed away 4 years ago and I would love to incorporate her somehow. It might me cheesy though because Michelle is so similar to DS' middle name (Michael). Her first name was Kristen so I like that this name is the same initials as hers.
Easton Matthew for a boy and Paisley Grace for a girl! We already have a Mason! So popular doesn't really bother me because neither of those are popular in our area!
Boy names are so easy for us. We have Had boy names picked out for so long. Hunter John is first choice - Hunter is my moms maiden name and I really want to incorporate my family into it, John is DH's grandads name.
Calvin Leo is our back up name.
Girl names are way too hard. We never actually agreed on a girl name when pregnant with DS. It's like pulling teeth getting DH to think of girl names.
I threw out the idea of Joyce Kristen nn Joy, but he's not sure since it sounds old. Joyce is my grandmas name and I've always been close with her, she's currently battling pancreatic cancer and might not be around when baby is born. Kristen is after my sister who passed away 4years ago.
I love the idea of incorporating your family's name into a first name. I wish I could do that but my family's last name is too weird.
