  • Definitely pyloric stenosis. Surgery in the morning. Waiting on the surgeon to come give us details. Hating every minute.

I'm so sorry :( Can they make him comfortable in the meantime? Big hugs.
He'll be getting IV Tylenol overnight to help with pain.

  • I am so confused.
I got something from Blue Cross saying I owe $3500 somewhere....but my hospital actually billed the correct insurance for my C-section and everything...so I don't know what BC got charged for... (this is what I get for my insurance switching on 10/1 and delivering on 10/2...).

You probably got an explanation of benefits if they might have billed BCBS in error initially..you could call them to double check

  • It officially snowed at my house in mid Michigan today. I messaged my mom (across town) so she could watch out for it and she told me to stop it. I'm clearly no Elsa.

    Snowing here too.. boooooo!

  • Since Alex has barely eaten in the last few days, I'm chained to the pump for the next 48hours to keep my supply up.

  • I don't know if I can survive my WHOLE maternity leave with a colic baby.....

Seeing as though it peaks at 6 weeks and tapers off by 3-4 months...

Just tried dangle feeding to work out what is likely a plugged duct. That was a workout and my mom was laughing at me so much she had to leave the room.
I know what it is, but it sounds dirty.

I had the same thought. It's like, right as they start to be enjoyable, I give them to my daycare person and MIL. How is that fair?

I feel this way too. Right when they stop being so slug-like, I have to go back to work.

  • *ugly tears*

Dh just left to take Layla trick or treating. I decided not to go because it's pouring rain and cold/windy outside and I just don't think it's smart to bring our 5 day old newborn out in it. The guilt and sadness of missing it though is killing me.

  • Sorry- have to vent for a sec. After all the shit my DH said to me last night while LO struggled and fought going to sleep, I have spent the whole day questioning my worth as a mother. I know we are dealing with 3 week growth spurt and apparently colic, but the ahole really has me upset. I should be putting him in his place instead of thinking i am worthless. The lack of sleep and day full of LO crying has messed with my mind. My mom came over tonight which was great. Wish she didn't work 6 days a week so I had some help. Babies are not easy, esp with ahole DH.
  • @supplycloset‌ *hugs* cause I too am dealing with the struggles of growth spurts, questioning my abilities, and dealing with a seemingly colic baby!
  • While reading to DS, I encountered this. Wtf?

  • Dreading the witching hours of 9pm-midnight. This is when I'm exhausted and LO is ready to party. And eat. And eat. And eat. Oh and shit 4,000x too.

Same here! Although I was just reading on the September board that moms are worried about their breastfed babies sleeping too long (6-8 hour stretches) and this gave me great hope!
Long sleep stretches come and go, in my experience. The great thing about infant sleep is that if you don't like it, it will change soon. The bad thing about infant sleep is that If you like it, it will change soon. ;)

Yeah mine will typically sleep 6-7 hours. Not last night! Go figure.
