In the three weeks since LO has been here, nights have varied. Some have been ok, others have been rough. For the past couple of nights, he pretty much hasn't slept all night (save half an hour at the beginning of the night). Which means I've been up holding/rocking/changing/feeding him. Which means I'm so exhausted I just want to cry. Yesterday, he didn't even want to nap during the day. By the time DH got home, I was in a puddle of exhausted tears. Praying he'll nap today so we can nap together.
I'm burping LO and she straight up barfs down my cleavage. I said well that was pleasant and I shit you not she straight up laughed about it. Smiled and snorted. Damnit why does she have to be so adorable.
It's snowing. Monday was 76...today there are flurries.
Theyre calling for slushy accumulation and decreased visibility here. I'm not ready for this shit. Luckily I'm off work all winter so I dont have to drive in it much at all.
I absolutely hate nights when DD grunts and kicks for HOURS before she finally falls asleep. It seems like there's nothing I can do to make her stop. HALP.

Dude, this is my life. Every night. I cannot sleep because of this and he will not sleep in his bassinet. It drives me nuts.

Its only happened a few times but my gosh it's annoying. I don't understand how she can do it for hours and not fall asleep, even after eating!

This is coming for us tomorrow. Highs in the 40's through mid-week next week as well.
@yella726 Do we have the same kid? Mine keeps waking me up every 60-90 minutes to eat, then refusing to latch.
He just fell asleep on me. I don't even know what to do. I should take the opportunity to nap but I'm scared to move lest I wake him up and crying ensues again.
I'm so ready for some snow! It snowed last night an hour north of us. I keep telling DH I want to move. We're so close to the mountains. If we just moved 45 minutes away I could enjoy some real snow. Here it only snows a couple times and usually only a couple inches.
Last winter we had so much snow here.. it was ridiculous... we got like 15 inches one sunday and of course I was at work.. driving home was TERRIFYING! And it was sooo cold last winter here too.. hoping for a more mild winter this year!
Okay, so, don't hate me, but DS is still asleep. He went down at 10 and it's already 7. I fed him in his sleep twice only because my breasts hurt so much it woke me. He sleeps so well when we bedshare!
Unfortunately I sleep at a funny angle when we bedshare, and I always wake with a headache from twisting my neck. All I want is to sleep on my stomach, but I can't do that with the boy in our bed. But if he is not in our bed, he is not sleeping as soundly. Boo.
Holy crap! DD was 6lb 14oz at birth. I just weighed myself on our scale holding her to see (an approximate) how much she weighs now. She will be a month old tomorrow. 9 lbs! What a little piggy! ;;)

Mine will even do that in a swaddle.
DD is swaddled every time too.
Have you tried unswaddling her? After one week my guy decided he hates to be swaddled, like melt down inconsolable crying. One night I removed the swaddle and presto, sleepy baby. We haven't swaddled since. Apparently he has crazy arms that must be free to flail about.
I have Kathie Lee and Hoda on and they are Wayne's World for Halloween. They just did a lip synch to Bohemian Rhapsody and my two year old who has not stopped moving for three weeks just sat down in front of the tv and watched quietly for a wonderfully long time. Making a mental note to play more Queen around here.
I thought the scariest thing would be waking up in labor.... Nope, it was waking up to hear it snowed in the area. Baby is set on a November birthday I guess Happy Halloween!
I feel like I haven't posted in forever! I lurk and begin to type, and its around that time I have a fussy baby to feed or change. DD is blissfully sleeping right now while I have coffee and enjoy the fire place. I have zero plans to leave the house today since we have a wind advisory and it was snowing here as well in WI. I will stay inside by the fire place and all of the baby cuddles. I really should try and nap while this LO is out! Last night was a looong night.
Also, I heard all this noise and looked outside to see my and my neighbor's yard covered in frenzied blackbirds. I can hear them crawling all over my roof too. So creepy. ..
It's too cold to snow here... Was loving the fall weather for the girls to play outside... Guess that's done til spring ( ( (

Absolutely in love with our 'big' family!
I'm also a proud Auntie to a crazy little girl, her brand new baby sister, a little man on his way in the next month, and a sweet little mister we will miss forever!!!
I have a dilemma for tonight. In my neighborhood kids tend to trick or treat kind of late. Not usually a problem except I have to work really early tomorrow and already don't get any sleep with DD. I would just turn off the lights after a certain hour except we have no street lights or sidewalks in our neighborhood. (not a lot of car traffic either) If I leave them on, my two dogs will bark like crazy every time someone comes to the door. Do I leave my lights on for kids safety or turn them off so I can try to get DD and myself to bed at a reasonable time?
Maybe try leaving the light on for safety but putting a note on your door, or as close to the road as possible, that says you're out of candy. This way the dogs won't bark and you guys can all get some much needed sleep.
Re: Happy Halloween randoms!!
Ok, rant over. Happy Halloween, everyone!

DD is swaddled every time too.
And it's snowing in Chicago
Aubrey slept from about 10-430 in the pnp last night so there was that..
I hate pumping so much.
My husband is making me crazy.. like literally maybe gonna lose my shit on him.
My sister is coming with my nephews tomorrow & im excited! Haven't seen them since May!

LO has been asleep for over 3 hours. Not sure if I should wake him or not. This is after waking up every hour or so over night.
