@misskilljoy don't be putting casserole recipes where my eyes can see geshhhhh oven foods don't get cooked in my house its to close to baking! My.Brain. Can't.Compute.
How do you liiiiive?!
My winters are full of homemade soups, lasagna, casseroles, enchiladas, and roasts. It helps me keep my heating bills down too, which is an added bonus.
Love crock pot recipes and casseroles! Fall and winter are perfect for these foods. Jambalaya sounds delicious right now.

I'm 35 weeks pregnant with 11+ lbs of twins inside my 5' frame. Since I'm doing absolutely no cleaning now, I'm going to say it will be easier with newborns.

My husband said I could be a SAHM if the house was kept clean. I started a savings account and put money aside for twice a month cleaning lady. He didn't say I had to do it.

Cleaning with newborn is easy. I didn't know what to with myself when I brought my DD home from the hospital. I didn't realize how much babies slept their first few weeks. My house was spotless and dinner cooked and ready on the table every night before my DH came home while I was on maternity leave. Even as she got older, I would put her in her rock-n-play in the room I was cleaning while she was content and got my cleaning finished. Fast forward to a year+ later with a running toddler. I clean while my DD is napping or is occupied by my DH. I have been nesting hardcore this pregnancy. I leave the tub scrubbing and floor mopping for my DH to do.
It would be a great help if you use the report / flag feature!
@slappiness We will use the flag feature if the "warning" part doesn't stop the crazy. From now on, we'll just page you if we need immediate help or something.
@anna930@misskilljoy, do you guys ever use the special lasagna noodles that they sell at the stores? You can buy them 'pre-prepared' and use them in the lasagna. Misskilljoy, they never get hard AND you don't have to cook them first.
The edges are always crunchy. I like them typically because sometimes the sauce will burn and make it crispy but I dont do crunchy

OMG, maybe you guys can help me. I have left over BBQ pulled pork from last night (DH ate some of it with rice. I ate some of it as a soft taco).
Would you make that into a casserole? If so, what would you put in with it? Mashed potatoes with cheese on top? I'm at such a loss as to what to do with the left overs.
I PPH you all, D14!
Is it smothered in BBQ sauce or dry? One of my favorite ways to eat left over pulled pork is nachos. We'll use a small cookie tray and cover it with chips, red onions, cilantro, and pulled pork then top with our fave cheese and stick it in the oven until the cheese melts.
It has the added benefit of being extremely healthy.....
ETA: We only do the above with DRY leftovers, not pulled pork soaked in sauce.
They're dry. That's a great idea too! I'll have to text DH and see what he'll want. (he's much pickier than I am)
ETA: I made the pulled pork by cooking some short ribs (I think that's what they were called - they had a lot of meat) with about a can of coke in my slow cooker for 8 hours on low. Then I drained them (well, I took the meat out, threw out the slow cooker liner, put in a new liner, and put the meat back in), and added just enough BBQ sauce to lightly coat all of the meat. I then cooked it on low for another hour or two. Sooo delicious.
It's also good as a pizza topping. Use BBQ sauce instead of the pizza sauce, then the pulled pork, red onion, parsley, and cheddar cheese.
@slappiness - would you like me to formally report it? (Though glad the threads turn to discussing caseroles helped you out)
@pieceofme - We can do that. Wasn't sure on any formal protocol since we haven't been through mod training yet. But definitely wanted to keep you aware of the warning.
Came to see the 5 page drama... should have known it would be turned into food or men. That was short lived. Now i want nachos!

My husband loves Hawaiian pizza. That is one of those pizzas where I have a slice and I am good. I have never binged out on Hawaiian. Some people do Hawaiian pizza with BBQ sauce. There's something for all you BBQ sauce on your pizza lovers.
You just confirmed it. Hawaiian pizza for dinner. I've never tried it with BBQ sauce, and I don't really add to my pizza... But it sounds good today!
I am down for just about any traditional pizza from anywhere except Little Ceasers because that shit is nasty. Dominos is gross too, but I can dig it if I am starving.
My perfect pizza -- mozzarella, prosciutto, mushroom, and goat cheese. No sauce or light sauce. Perfection.
*******STUCK IN THE FUCKING BOX AGAIN STUPID BUMP IT DUMMIES**************************
Domino's has a new version of pizza. It's effin delicious. I think I'm getting it tonight.
New new? As in like within the last month new? Because if you're talking about their garlic-y crust that came out a couple years ago, then no. Not for me.
Whaaaaaat? You dont like the garlic crust? Thats my favorite part. I basically end up having one slice of pizza and eating all the crust dh hands over. Yum!

Pizza dough, blue cheese yogurt sauce, mozzarella cheese, buffalo chicken strips, red onion, and scallions.
I did it off a combination of recipe of Ellie Krieger and Rachel Ray.
Wish I could put a good food porn pic in here for you.
I'd eat the crap out of that pizza.
UO: I LOVE BLUE CHEESE.
(I'm a New Yorker now living in the mid-west where they think buffalo wings go WITH RANCH. /sigh. I love ranch as much as the next person but COME ON mid-west!)
Apparently I am letting my Midwest-raising flag fly in this post.
Yes, wings and ranch go together. I prefer bleu cheese, but I can do ranch just as happily.
Yes, I eat BBQ pizza.
Yes, I put cottage cheese in my lasagna.
And yes, I did grow up eating balony sandwiches with Miracle Whip on white bread.
Had a friend who did not get his mayo on the side. His reason? Looked too much like a certain bodily fluid which he produced and I did not. Granted, he was 22 when he said that... Wonder what he thinks now. (Doesn't live in the area anymore...)
He needs to check with his doc....that's not the right consistency at all. I bet expelling something as thick as mayo would hurt like hell.
ETA- you should look him up on fb...I'm concerned for his well being
@CandEChicago I love mushy peas! Not much of a beer drinker, I preferred lager. You forgot about fish and chips!
Funny, my friend and I are texting right now about shepherds pie and bangers and mash. Her bf is a chef and just took her for English food for the first time.
