Guys, I need all the hugs. Our dog has gone seriously downhill. We had been waiting to see if the seizures subsided a bit as per vets instruction. For a while he was only having one every 10 days - 2 weeks. The vet said that was good, he was doing well, acting normal etc. they'd been getting more frequent, but they go through a pattern of being infrequent, then one or 2 a day, then back to infrequent. Well, the last couple of nights he's been acting off, but last night he was having near constant little seizures. This morning he's the same. He can't control his bladder, DH had to pick him up and carry him outside to go to the bathroom this morning, he is struggling to stand, he can't walk. His breathing is erratic and he's so, so miserable. We are just waiting for the vet clinic to open and we are taking him in. I know that the decision has been made for us now. Looks like we are saying goodbye to our buddy today.
Oh Melsa I'm so sorry. It's so hard to see them struggle. ((HUGS))
Is a ladybug infestation a thing? Has anyone dealt with it before? Ladybugs are slowly taking over our kitchen ceiling and I have no idea what to do about it!
@melsax I am so sorry. My heart is breaking for you! Ugh. That really sucks
@kelbel527 I can't imagine all those people showing up. Hopefully you won't have to worry about it. But that is super annoying.
@mrskipper vacuum them. We get them in the spring and fall when the air is warm and where the sun hits. So i have them today. I kinda just leave them. But you can just keep vacuuming. Also heard that spraying vinegar on door and window frames can help.
@mrskipper it IS a thing! It happens to us every fall-- only on the northwest side of our house though. It's very bizarre! We just vacuum them up. It's annoying, but doesn't last *too* long, maybe a few weeks or so.

We were overrun with Asian Lady Beetles (look like ladybugs) earlier this year. Very few got in the house and I caught them and released. They stink when you kill them. Vacuum if you have too many to hand remove. Make sure you get them all out, they are trying to hibernate in your house for the winter. Do you know where they are coming in? I would try to seal it better.
ETA: I also read that they don't like citronella and mums.

OK - I don't always like to vent much on here, but I'm a little annoyed at the moment.
I offered to help host a baby shower for a really good friend. Two friends were already running with the planning, so I am just helping out as much as they need. We needed a space close to where I live (these ladies live an hour away), so I offered to rent the room at my apartment complex. I was told there are about 35 ladies on the invite. I comfortably hosted about 35 people for Aedan's birthday there, so it felt like it would work.
Today, I get an email saying that the guest list is now up to 55 people and asking me if I think there will be enough room? BUT...the invites have already been sent. So, what can we even do about it? I'm a little confused that we're just now questioning the size of the room, after the invites were sent.
So, yeah, I'm a little worried if 55 people show up that there won't be enough room. But why didn't anyone ask the question earlier. Both of the hostesses attended Aedan's birthday party and know that it isn't a huge space.
I love these ladies, honestly, and have known them forever, I'm just so confused. And the party is in 4 weeks.
Honestly, 55 invitations sent out, you will probably get 35-40 people. I wouldn't stress yet
My new job doesn't grant us access to the wifi for our cell phones. I get that they don't want us constantly on them, but we get an hour break for lunch and two 15 minute breaks. I feel like I'm going to destroy my data usage, especially if I use Waze on the way to work. Maybe I need to upgrade my plan
I'm having huge mom guilt. Colby has a pretty bad cough and runny nose. His school says as long as he has no fever he can come. It is just wearing him out so much. I can't wait until I have some sick time to use.
Annddd one more. The dress code is business casual with jeans on Friday. Most of my dress pants still fit, but I got 2 new pair. During training (at least the next two weeks) we are allowed to wear jeans every day. I only have 2 pairs of jeans that are nice enough to wear to work.
@MelsaX ::hugs:: going through the loss of a family pet is so hard.
My random is that the past 2 work weeks and then this weekend too, has been complete survival-mode. I'm just so busy. Not until after Halloween, I'll feel like I can take a breath. Anyways last night it was 8:30 and I was a zombie on the couch with a bag full of teacher-parent conference work to be done, and I was surfing FB bc it was a) necessary and b) my first moment to myself all day. Anyways, FB was suggesting "people you know" and their pics and every single person was Bumpie/S12er. I was so tired but confused at the same time. My first thought was that I was on the Bump but it was everyone's real names and my 2nd thought was it was people from the FB group but there were mommies in there that never joined that group or haven't been in it for a while(Mlf and LB). It was such a weird thing to happen when I was so tired and lost, it made me confused.

I would stick to the standard dress code. Or repeat jeans once a week - 3 days jeans and 2 days business casual.

@amandad715 I had the same thing last night. At first I was like, "She looks familiar. Wait, these are TB ladies." I even told DH because I thought I was nuts.
Add me to this list of people who saw bumpies on my FB list of recommended friends. I was really confused at first too @amandad715 and couldn't figure out why they were showing up on my FB feed.
Obviously they connected my IG to FB, but I don't like it.
Doesn't FB recommend people based on who your friends are friends with? So if you're friends with three bumpies and they're all friends with another FB suggests that person to you. I thought that was how it worked. I'm probably wrong.

Yes - usually those are the people I see recommended. However, I'm not FB friends with any bumpies and everyone that popped up was someone I followed on IG.

Same. I'm not in the FB group or friends on FB with any of you ladies only IG.

I had people, not bumpies, that I only know from IG and we do not have a single friend in common. It was purely based on your IG friend list.

I have so much to do before conferences. And I'm in a class yesterday and today, so I haven't even had my preps. Ahhhhh.

I wear the same pair of jeans all the time. I think it's easier to get away with that if they are plain style, dark wash jeans. I think dark wash jeans look nicer anyway.
((sad hugs, friend)) I am so sorry. My heart breaks for our furry family members when they are going through rough times. Come to us if you need any support. I was so sad when my last two furries were struggling, and am still heartbroken over losing them. I'm so sorry, pets are so special. Hugs to you all -
