Anyone else have third tri rage/zero patience? I literally have no filter at all anymore. Tonight, I told DH to come at the end of of my baby shower, around 4:30 on Saturday, he asked why. I said bc people want to see you, congratulate you, etc. He protested a little, at which point I heard myself say, "I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK. JUST BE THERE AT 4:30."
I just do not have the patience to bicker. STFU and do what I'm telling you to do.

This is me. All day everyday. I have rage problems
Ugh, why did I think it would be a good idea to look at skinny pictures of myself pre-TTC?!
Let me drown my sorrows in ice cream... it doesn't judge me like you do, past self...
Goals.
------------ I look at pre-preggo pics where I THOUGHT I was fat, and I realize how good I looked. I wasn't fat, but I wasted so much time thinking I was.
I actually just came home from having Thai food. Complete coincidence since I was at a meeting and we picked the place a month ago. Green curry is soooo good
There is a great place in Oakland. It was off Attwood I believe, I ate there in college but that was 7-8 years ago.

You definitely miss out with hockey @BrainCellSup. There are lots of hotties. I have a lot of crushes on the Penguins, they all have great personalities and humor.
@shortstack06 well, I have been looking for a new hobby...
A new Thai restaurant opened up nearby that's soooo good--seriously the best Thai food I've had since DH and I went to Thailand for our honeymoon. I'm with @pooky08--I cannot get enough of spicy green curry.

I've gotten two more lovely symptoms to my third trimester list (I'm at 33 weeks). I am warm, so very... very... warm. The house is at 60, and I'm still boiling. I've been living in my sports bras and sporty short shorts. For some reason I've been having cravings for water too. Today alone I've had 7 litres! So much urination!
Anyone else have any new symptoms this week?
Yup. Also 33 weeks. My fingers hurt to bend now. Especially when I wake up in the middle of the night. I think it's just from swelling. 7 weeks to go.....
OMG, I'm so glad someone else is having the achy hands. Not that I'm glad your hands hurt, too, just that I'm not the only one with this bizzaro symptom. It just started this week and it is painful!

Whaaa? You must! I lived in Thailand for a while as an exchange student and I stole a bunch of recipes while I was there. It is the best food... though I haven't been able to eat it this pregnancy because water gives me heartburn... maybe wait until after December.
In memory of the baby Hufflepuff and all the angel babies of D14
DH is snoozing away next to me, my dog is also sleeping, I am not sleeping. :-( everything aches and I can't get comfortable. I tried seeing if DH would chat with me (big fat no). I also tried forcing my dog to let me hold him like a baby and snuggle him, but he just gave me side eye and played dead hoping I would stop. I'm bored, tired, achy and crabby.
@3girlsnthepup NEVER had Thai food?! Girl. Get that fixed stat.
In regards to the Kaptain, Admiral names: Kaptain (with a K in particular) is awful. But I super seriously want to name a boy Major. For real. H is not having it though (probably for the best for all our sakes). But still.
On the plus side I will maybe get to name a dog Major. I will take it.
@RaeChay I had a wonderful little Spaniel named Major, he was born with a tilted jaw (rescued from a puppy mill) and his tongue hung out the side of his mouth all the time. Cutest birth defect ever.
@Noodlesandrice this is me right now, can't go back to sleep and the dogs are refusing me cuddles.
If anyone wants puppy cuddles they can come hang out with my dog. He ALWAYS wants to cuddle. Or spoon. I often have to scoot him over after he curls up next to me bc he butt checks my bump - doesn't seem to quite get that mama is shaped different these days.
D14 November, because I am finally not on mobile, how I feel in 3rd tri:
@danisgossipgirl I would be super irritated too! I'm sorry that happened, hopefully they will respect your wishes and not F up again. I have this fear too once this LO is in daycare
@3girlsnthepup depends on the place and what you order. Rice noodles are safe and most of the noodle dishes are made with those. I always ask to make sure they don't use flour as a thickening agent though, a lot of asian places do because it's cheap and convenient. If they do, you could ask them not to if they cook each batch separately but they might not clean the wok off first. Also, the soy sauce in them matters (don't know how sensitive you are). I usually am wary of places until they answer my questions and I know I haven't gotten sick or flared up after eating at said places. Even then I always have my charcoal pills on me for emergencies. If you can find a place that doesn't use flour though, Thai is totally worth it
Why is it that every hospital pic I see of new babies, they all have the same blankie and hat? I'm stating to think these items are manufactured in prison like license plates lol
@3girlsnthepup and @Noodlesandrice I second what NaR said about asking around. There is a Thai place here in Austin that I can order off the menu and be fine, but I can't do their lunch buffet. Which is a shame, because it's really tasty.
I personally prefer Vietnamese to Thai anyway, because of my pepper intolerance. They share a similar spice palate, and I LOVE me some pho. The girls even like it, so we usually grab it for lunch a couple of times a month.
@katehgee LOVE LOVE LOVE that couch. Where did you get it, if you don't mind me asking? DH has owed me a new couch for a year, and now that he's getting job (WOO, STILL DANCING!!!), it's on my list of purchases after the first of the year. First up: minivan. Second: carpet for the upstairs. Third: new living room furniture.
Thanks @bowlwoman, and I'm so happy for your husband!! This couch is from Raymour and Flanigan. We had a great experience ordering our bedroom set from them a few years ago, and this was another great experience. It was actually a special order, since EVERY sectional in the world was situated the other way, but they were great through the whole process and kept us updated. We also hit a sale and got a great deal.
And thank you @AnonnAni! The floor is very old (well, so is the house) and needs to be refinished but I love it. I just can't bother moving all the furniture and staying in a hotel with two dogs to get it done. I should've done it before we moved in last year. Ah well.
Really? That does not look old at all!!!... Days in a hotel with two dogs ummm yeah i would pass on that forever lol
A few years ago after a really nasty breakup with an emotionally abusive ex bf, Bestie and I took a girl's trip to Austria (she was doing a conference and I tagged along) and then the Greek Islands. The gyros there. Omg. Also, they stick like 2-3 random French fries into the middle of the gyro which was the best thing ever. Now when I get hamburgers or GF wraps, I order fries and stick a few in the middle
Is this what you mean by pincher bug? These always freak me out. They're called earwigs, but we always called them pincher bugs because they have pinchers growing out of their butts.
OMG. Take that picture down... Ick ick ick! Worst nightmare. And yes, that's what I call a pincher bug. I seriously thought that that was what they were called...
I'm 5 years old obviously.
UGH!!! The HATE!! I never liked those things and this past spring/summer in our new backyard we had, like, a PLAGUE of earwigs. They were everyfreakingwhere!! Awful awful!! I finally took to sprinkling garden dust all over my gigantic hydrangeas because they seemed to be living in every curled up leaf, and all over my patio steps to keep them out of the house. Icky icky!!!
Eta 'cause I tagged you all @ColeyCannoli, @raychay, @bvsbabymomma and then was distracted by the bugs & forgot to say what I was going to say... I don't actually know of Thai places around here, but DH isn't into spicy anything and I haven't the slightest clue what would/would not be spicy... And is ANY Thai food gluten free? (@bowlwoman@noodlesandrice help me out here...) HAHA. I'd love to expand my takeout options...
Actually most Thai food is gluten free. Even their traditional soy sauce is (but in the US they usually use the Chinese kind so be careful of that). Every noodle is rice or bean, I can't even think of something that would be heavy on gluten unless it was breaded to appeal to Western consumers - so there might be some cross contamination if you are worried about that.
Now, I don't know if you can make Thai food not spicy though. I have never tried :P At the very least there is delicious mango and sticky rice to try if nothing else works.
In memory of the baby Hufflepuff and all the angel babies of D14
I've never tried Pho - but we have a few really good Vietnamese restaurants near us (probably due to an artsy area/expensive well-known private college there brings in a variety of students/faculty and $$ for good restaurants). Tempted to try it, but not a super brave new food trier. Is it easy to be sure things are vegetarian?
I've never had Pho that wasn't made with beef or chicken broth and fish sauce. If it's a good place though, they probably have a vegetarian version or even a whole other menu. All depends on the place.
In memory of the baby Hufflepuff and all the angel babies of D14
I will warn ya 3girlsnthepup that the last time I had Thai food I went way too spicy (cause I do) and I had a nightmare that night that my LO was trying to claw his way out of my side. Woke up to him tap dancing on that same spot he was clawing in the dream. Super freaky.
So, I already ate lunch but now I really want a gyro... like, 90% of this pregnancy has had me wanting to drink tzatziki sauce.

OMG PHO is sooo amazing like life changing amazing!!!!!!
Wahhh I wan't a pretty new couch! Mine is leather, if I had anything else it would be covered in cat hair. Unfortunately it isn't very comfy, I never sit on it.
I love Pho! You can't get it anywhere around my area.
@danisgossipgirl I can't believe they would give him something you have specifically written on the info form of items he cannot have! What if he was allergic to something in the jello?! I always thought they double checked that kind of thing before every meal.
I just got done with a massage. An hour is NEVER long enough!
@misskilljoy glad to hear your good news! Hope she does ok with this round.
@katehgee my dog is short haired and somehow my couch is still covered. As are all my black clothes. It's a battle we will never ever win. Good thing he's cute
In food news, I love Thai but have never had pho - add that to the list to try...
D14 November, because I am finally not on mobile, how I feel in 3rd tri:
MH is sad that he has gained so much weight this pregnancy and said this morning that he wants to for real start dieting. How can I convince him that Chipotle is healthy? That is all that I am craving right now.

Two words: brown rice. Totally healthy. Oh and they have tofu now, I think.

Just get him to start reading one of the novels they print on the side of their cups/bags and you'll be done inhaling chipotle goodness by the time he's finished. I have decided that next week I'm going to have chipotle at least once and shake shack too if I can get away for a decent amount of time for my lunch break.
@misskilljoy that's really great news about your mom--it must be quite a sense of relief. I never knew about the ringing the bell ritual until recently; it's certainly a worthwhile moment to commemorate!
Heading off for the weekend--after a good hour of the usual nyc traffic it's been such a beautiful ride in terms of scenery. I hope one of the dinners DH has planned out includes Thai food--I'm craving it hard after catching up on all of today's posts! If not then it's definitely what I'll oh so casually suggest for takeout when we get back Sunday night.

Mmmmm! Love thai. We usually get a beef Penang curry and a pad Thai. Hard to find more authentic ones. Lots of places around here use some ketchupy sauce in their pad Thai. Gyros with French fries are amazing, but I haven't had one since I was in Greece.
I'm just headed away for the weekend and waiting for the ferry. Hope everyone has nice relaxing weekends!
@rshamos, I grew up in AZ too and always complain about Mexican food elsewhere. I will never find another thing i love more than Ajo Al's. Ever.
I will have to try Ajo Al's next time I'm in the area. Local to me are a couple places with amazing tamales. YUM!
I also love any place with a fresh salsa bar.
There's a bar near me where a guy comes through with a cooler on his shoulder full of tamales every so often. OMG it's so sketchy, but they're cheap and great, and you don't even have to leave...
