The idiot that just tripped and fell outside the chiropractor's office. That's me. I twisted sideways to avoid my stomach, and think everything is okay. Just sore now. And covered in leaves.
Just got back from the OB, if LO doesn't come out on his own, eviction date will be Nov 3rd... which feels SOOOOOO far away! But I have a feeling he'll be out before then (hopefully!)

Just had my 40 week appointment. I have another Friday to keep an eye on my blood pressure. We also set an eviction date of a week from today if this little lady doesn't come on her own terms. I am really hoping she shows up on her own before then but I do feel better there is an end in sight.
Random question for those of you who have outside babies:
My feet have swollen about 1/2 of a size so that my flats are wearable but uncomfortable. I'm not attempting fall boots yet because my legs are a bit swollen and it sounds like torture. Overall, I feel pretty bloated on top of my weight gain. Anyone care to share how long it took for you to notice a decrease in feet swelling and overall puffiness?
I'm sort of thinking ahead to having a family photo taken for holiday cards and want to be semi-prepared for the reality I might be dealing with. I'm also just feeling super unattractive and self-conscious at this stage in the game, although I know that it's silly for me to feel this way or even be thinking about things like this when LO is all that matters.
It took me about 3 weeks. My feet were soooo fat! Worse than pregnancy feet. My ute is still a little swollen. The doctor told me that'll last the full 8 weeks. I'm still afraid to put on pre-pregnancy jeans...but boots are a go!
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
I am this close to TPing DH. After being gone all weekend on a boys trip he comes home and after just an hour with ds2 he is getting frustrated. DS2 has been having terrible reflux all weekend and instead of doing the things I tell him to help ds2 he proceeds to hand him back to me to deal with it. Then he has the nerve to tell me that I am lucky that he even tries to help because all his coworkers didnt have to help at all. Seriously?!?!?! I guess he is expecting some sort of award. Being a dad doesnt exempt you from the responsibilities of taking care of your son (day or night). He better realize that soon...very soon!
I'm so sorry, I would be livid!! I would say if your asshole co-workers jumped off a bridge, would you? The two of us made this baby and the two of us should be active participants in his care!

I'm at work and have absolutely nothing to do. My stomach is super itchy and I'm wondering what I want for lunch, even though I ate a second breakfast after my orthodontist appointment 3 hours ago.
@sweetadeline31 I just noticed yesterday that I have ankles again! They look so small compared to how they were the whole pregnancy. I'm 9 days PP. I'm still waiting for the rest of my body to be less swelled though.
@Syllessa How the hell did that happen.
Just got to hospital for LC visit and baby is screaming in the back seat. Can't feed her for 20 more minutes.
Question... I plan to call my doctor when they open, but I have a TMI problem. My clitoral area on the right side is swollen and it's pressing on my urethra. It is uncomfortable enough that I went to get ky urine checked on Friday (negative). This swelling is not really near my stitches and as far as I know, I didn't have any urethral trauma. I don't have any idea what this is or what to do about it. Anyone else?
Did you have a catheter? I had this with DS, everything around was swollen. No trauma but almost like irritation from a foreign object. If you didn't I'm not sure what would cause it I'm afraid. I found a cool compress helped now and then.
I had catheter related swelling with my last two deliveries. I had to get re-cathed this time because I couldn't urniate.
So I went to Barnes and Noble to find this book my cousin strongly recommended to me, and on my way out this incredibly sweet little boy (maybe 7?) ran ahead of me to hold the door open. Except he didn't realize the door only opened so wide and totally ran his head straight into the door. He was completely fine and he and his mom were cracking up, so naturally I cracked up, too.
Thanks little man for making me get a good chuckle in today as I prepare myself to join the "overdue" club!
@scottysgirl77 mine too! I'm burping her more and she still farts like a grown man!
Mine too only she's really bad about burping. During one feeding last night she let out this huge belch while latched and it scared the heck out of me. Once I realized what happened I was laughing hysterically.
@Cantisa and other mommas having sore nipple problems, have you ever heard of Milkies? They are hard shells that you put inside your bra and they let your nips air out and collect the milk you leak between sessions. My friends who have had horrific nursing problems and very sore nips swore by these. I have meant to post this earlier. I should probably intro because I have lurked long enough!
My mom and grandma are here helping me today while DH is working on the other side of the state. They're driving me crazy though because they keep telling me I'm not allowed to call LO "buddy"...because that was the name of my chinchilla. I call him everything under the sun: little guy, big guy, little dude, little man, floppy, kiddo, bud, buddy... also, my grandma is convinced that everyone will call him Archie or Arch instead of Archer.
1- don't tell me what I can and can't call my son.
2- if he wants to be called Archie or Arch, he can make that decision, but in the mean time, it is Archer.
I feel like I need the HIMYM meme of "Nobody asked you, Patrice!!!!"

My feet went from size 8 to size 9 1/2! I looked down on Friday and they were suddenly so small and skinny! LO was ten days old. It looks like I have new feet! Still can't wear wedding ring but my feet are back!

I haven't been able to get my wedding rings back on and we're at 17 days postpartum. I really want to wear them again. I'm getting paranoid that I will need to get them resized.
Grumble grumble...
Archer has been fighting sleep all morning/afternoon since he got up at 1030. My grandma is holding him now and he's finally starting to doze between fussing. She keeps looking at me like she has some magic powers or something.
No, he's just getting sleepy from being up so long...
How does the whole LC thing work? I feel so awkward calling a stranger for help. Do I pay them? do they have offices or is it in a home? I am really committed to bf but I don't get the LC's role.
I felt super awkward calling but in one appointment this morning my baby went from never latching to sucking down a whole feeding. Their role is really just coaching and helping problem solve.

I find this totally annoying! Be thankful it's just looks. DS1's great grandmother was EXTREMELY vocal about how he would always fall asleep in her arms those first few weeks and would brag to everyone and even try to take him out of my arms! I'm not looking forward to that again when this one is born....
DS sleeps all the time and is impossible to wake, just like in utero!!! He wakes up to eat like clockwork every 3 hours , but otherwise it's all sleep all the time. It's starting to upset me, but I guess I should enjoy it while it lasts? The pedi said I could start trying to get him to stay awake during the day, but I feel bad. But, I do want to interact with him more....

Definitely enjoy it. DS barely slept for months and months. That's one of the things I'm worried about when this one finally arrives.
So no dilation, barely effaced and LO is estimated at over 8 pounds... I know the ultrasound estimates are +/- 2 pounds but I'm nervous. DS was only a little over 6 pounds :-S

Please just let him sleep! You are so lucky. Nb babies are quite boring, but you'll have plenty of interacting with him when he starts staying awake more on his own.
I have a numb spot on the front of my stomach...anyone else have this when they were super pregnant? I feel like it's probably just from being stretched so much.
Seriously, fuck Braxton Hicks. These uncomfortable/semi-painful fake contractions are bullshit. And every damn time I have one I kind of breathe through, DH asks me if I'm OK or if I'm in labor. Well shit man, if I was in labor, I'D TELL YOU!

Yes!! About 1/2 inch away from my belly button.
Samesies. Ugh, I thought I was making it up for awhile.

I fucking feel you so hard on this. Dh has also requested that I either go into labor before 4pm or not until 2pm tomorrow. Okay, noted, asshole.

Is it inappropriate to throat punch your grandma?

@ windwithfingers. I may have jinxed myself. We had a total poopslusion today. Poop on the bouncer, my shirt, my robe, the baby, blanket and the onsie
I just laughed.
