He's given me one little wiggle so I'm slightly reassured. But it's been 20 minutes. If I don't feel something better than that I'm putting in a call. Better safe than sorry.
Glad he gave a wiggle. My baby has quiet days too, it always makes me slightly nervous. I usually massage my belly where I feel baby hanging out. She usually wiggles around after that (probably because I'm annoying her).
??? I miss knowing we were on page almost 400 or something of the random thread... Plus "this board needs" always made me think of what this board needed. Jesus. Penis. More cowbell. Yup.
I missed all the crazy of the invasion this weekend but the aftermath is noticeable... I have been around since April so the amount of new screen names is MORE then concerning and the fact that some ppl actually left i think is more then crazy as well. Just not gonna be the same around here *shrugs*
Oh, and movies. I'm a big cinephile, always have been. When it was just me and dd1, we went to the movies a lot, especially when she was a baby and she'd nurse and sleep through movies. It's one of my absolute favorite pastimes. It allows me a quick get-away from everything, turn off my overactive mom brain, and enjoy a movie for a couple hours.
@Metaphysique, you wouldn't believe the comments I've gotten when I told people that I plan on going to the movies while on maternity leave. I plan on wearing LO and catching daytime flicks while DH is at work in an effort to keep my sanity and leave the house. I've been told primarily two things: 1. I'm putting LO at risk by taking him to the movie theater..... (b/c apparently I'm going to pass him around so every Tom, Dick, and Harry can cough on him???) and I could 'ruin' the movie going experience for all those other daytime flick watchers if LO wakes up and cries.... /sigh
I'm glad to see that someone else has done it! My resolve has been renewed
@LadyThrice Matinees are the way to go. I'm definitely not missing out on going to the movies just because I have a baby. They're easy when they're tiny and kept in a carrier. And going during matinee times means running into much fewer people!
We're totally seeing LOTR when it comes out, baby and all.

My movie theatre has a special matinee period for parents. Babies are welcome and you get special discounts. I plan on using this when I'm on leave as well, I love the movies!
@Cryssteen I crocheted hats and sold them on etsy when dd2 was born. I actually really enjoyed it. Don't worry about finding a hobby so much as finding time for you if you don't have an automatic hobby that suits you. For awhile after the dds were born showering was my hobby haha
@Anna930 the hips haven't been an issue as much as a Charlie horse like pain in the side of my stomach I'm sleeping on. It's AWFUL!
@BayCamp my LO has quiet times some days. Hopefully LO will wake up for you soon.
Do you put anything on baby's ears to block out some of the noise in the theater?? Sometimes I find them to be too loud for my taste - not sure about little ears!
I was wondering about this as well. I'm not sure its the volume thats an issue so much as the shocking scenes where the volume changes drastically.
There are special times/dates for particualr movies marketed to moms/mom groups that the volume and lighting is adjusted for attendance with babies.

@AnonnAni, I thought the same thing at first this weekend. However, it has calmed down and once you start recognizing the names of the people that changed, it'll become more familiar again. However, the ones that have left are missed and the new ones that are around are annoying BUT I have a feeling they will ultimately go back to lurking leaving us regs still hanging around
ETA: @Nesenotes better come back and post soon.....
I know right!!! gonna make HDBD kinda strange without certain ppl (and with the addition of others)..
I am having a hell of a time with the new screen names lol

Yea that parent matinee that I mentioned at my movie theatre has reduced volume on their movies.
This is not okay.

I just can't get into it. Flame away sister.
To each his/her own. Get me some Dr. Pepper and I'll be happy.
I don't like any soda/carbonated beverage. Over the years I've really tried but carbonation literally burns my throat

I know exactly what you mean... And I was here for the crazy invasion...
Yeah, shit got crazy. Some of the new people are actually regs who changed their SNs, but I keep forgetting who used to be who, especially since I can't see siggys on mobile. I'm so angry that those douchbags were able to come in and, in a few idiotic posts, screw up a community we'd been building for 7 months. And I'm sure they're all very pleased with themselves. ______________ @katehgee just a friendly reminder I'm the artist previously known as amw0914
Thank you all for your concern. Little guy is moving more now, not as much as usual but I'm willing to chalk it up to a sleepy day. I had my phone in my hand to call the midwife when I felt a good strong movement out of him. This kid is going to give me gray hairs before he's even born!
This is not okay.

I just had an irrational pregnant lady breakdown because DH drank the last of the diet Dr. Pepper and I now can't enjoy the one that I allow myself each day. Not as bad as eating the last ham and cheese hot pocket, but you can bet his ass is sleeping on the couch tonight. No wait, he would prefer that. His ass is sleeping in bed with me tonight.
I'm going back to glaring at my glass of water and cursing it under my breath....
@Anna930 it is a weird sensation the Charlie horse esque pain. The physical therapist I've been going to for my pelvis/hips thinks it's bc one of my previous pregnancies separated my stomach muscles.
Ugh, my kids have been cranky today and I just took their temperatures. They all have fevers. My H walked through while I was checking everyone and checked his own. He has a fever.
Anyone have a Lysol bubble I can live in for the next 7 weeks?
Full disclosure: today I vacuumed, drank a psl AND a coke, stood on a ladder, and took pepcid complete. I must not love my baby as much as y'all love yours. Geeze high and
mighty snobs really irritate me.
Umm, so you're saying that you were kind a dick to your unborn baby today? How could you possibly think any of that is okay? You may as well just snag a crack pipe...
Eh. The night is young, I could probably make some calls and find some crack too.
Well, there's some lady on 3rd tri who's pretty convinced that the stress of opening gifts for the holidays is going to send her into PTL. So make sure you don't open any presents or celebrate any holidays!!!11!1!
This baby better be out of me by Christmas, I am due 12/1!!!!
@ColeyCannoli yes pepcid is ok, at least my OB says so anyways. It's the only way I get through most days!
@riansmommie I have mad respect for you being a military wife. My husband goes off to oil rigs but he has more say in his schedule than any military family. I hope it all works out ok for you and your delivery.
@Anna930 & @3girlsnthepup there was some BSC newb a while ago that said she couldn't vacuum cuz it was bad for the baby
@Cryssteen I was the same as you before I had DS. I tried my hand at several hobbies: knitting (which I still do occasionally), crocheting (which I was terrible at), photography, art, Pinterest crap...etc. I always felt like I had to have a hobby or something. It turns out loving to read and the occasional glass of wine is all I really need to be happy. I've learned since he's been born that in the rare times I actually get to lay down and read a book, I am in my happy place. Having hobbies doesn't make you "normal", I think you're totally acceptable as a human even without being passionate about a hobby
@MaineMama I'm sorry everyone in your house is sick!! I think a sick husband is worse than sick kids.
OK...I think I'm finally caught up. Holy geeze this thread is hard to keep up with.
D14 November Siggy Challenge: The feels of 3rd trimester...
@leosmom25 - I don't remember that BSC newb.. but there are just SO manyyyy! Ugh! Vacuuming does make my stomach muscles pretty crampy I have to say but never so much that I feel like I shouldn't be doing it.
Maybe that newb was using the hose attachment and afraid she was gonna suck her baby out. My vacuum is pretty powerful - just sayin
Haha I loled at that. It was like the end of first tri or very early in second tri and her family was not letting her vacuum because it was dangerous. I could see maybe this late in the game but back then, no way!
D14 November Siggy Challenge: The feels of 3rd trimester...
Grocery/pay day is tomorrow. I can not fucking wait. After eating canned beans for two days for every meal I never want to see a can of beans again! I can smell it on my skin.

Not sure they should be pleased lol I think they should feel more pathetic than anything, like wow you have SO much to do in life I messed up an internet board *rolls eyes*
I don't do vaccuuming - that's now MH territory (but we also have a totally different home time setup than most people).
HOWEVER, after hearing about this bring your baby thing to movies I was all excited! And then I googled it and they cancelled it for AMC theaters. Lame.
I vacuum every day. I have too! But now its way more work than it used to be. We moved from our 900sq foot house (with 3 kids, a dog, 4 cats, and a husband who trails home metal shavings) to my parents 2200sq foot house with 4 more dogs, 3 more cats, my dad who trails wood chips, and my 18yo brother who trails football stank.
It drives me nuts when my kids get up off the floor and have dog hair on them though, so vacuum it is!
I vacuum a lot but never have issues with becoming winded from it. But my vacuum actually is self propelled so it don't have to put any effort into to pushing/pulling it around.
I just hopped onto N14 - 5 more birth announcements since the last time I checked. Was just thinking of how close we're all getting (I'm a little over 6 weeks away), but quite a few babies there were born before where I'm at now or what would be within the next couple weeks!
Is it crazy to start driving around with my carseat installed at 34 weeks? Maybe I should just attach the base for now? ... Doing so will most likely land me with a 42-week baby - I know how these things backfire
I was JUST thinking about this today, after we get all moved in to the new place next week I think I'm installing the car seat base.
@baycamp (I am still on page 19 catching up) I smacked my belly with the washer door yesterday at my sister's. I really thought I had more room, I have a bruise, my husband was like how the hell did you do that?! But the good news is the baby had a dance party all night so I think the baby is okay. If I didn't have the dance party, I totally would have been at L&D last night and panicking. I hope your LO decides to dance party for you!

@katylou91 I will totally admit that for the first week after I had my second I wore depends. Once my bleeding slowed down I switched over the the huge overnight pads.
I leave for a weekend bc we were hosting people who came in for my shower, and I come back and... wtf happened over here?!?! I have some serious catching up to do.
Hope you all had a lovely weekend, anyway.
Love, Late to the party
D14 November, because I am finally not on mobile, how I feel in 3rd tri:
@LadyThrice I have two programs releasing docs in the next two weeks, a contractor that's leaving at the end of the month, a new person to train, and my boss to get ready for my leave. Plus, DD1's birthday is Sunday and I have to prep for that. I'll be popping in once a day or so, but for a little while, I'm swamped!
Hope everyone is doing well. Just popping in to say hello while taking a break from this fascinating admin guide I'm updating.
