Saturday Randoms

in October 2014 Moms
I have all of a sudden started having an irrational fear of giving birth to this baby even though it is my second. I keep waking up from nightmares about things not going well at the hospital.

Other than that things are going great. Can't wait to meet LO and get to spend a few days with DH not having to work.

    What exactly are you fearing? I think it can be a little more nerve wrecking because you know what to expect and what can go wrong. I'm getting more nervous about the recovery process. I wish I could just pop him out and be back to normal instantly. Lol

    @BreandMikewedding‌ I am mainly fearing the hospital stay I had some bad experienced with the staff. I had an awesome recovery and surgery went great last time, but I really hate then hospital staff where my doc delivers. The spinal makes me a little nervous but I know it will be fine.

    @savagek7‌ that isn't fair I feel the same way when I can't sleep and I haven't even had LO yet. ds1 and DH are sound asleep and I'll be laying in bed wishing I could just get a couple hours.

    I wouldn't go as far as to say I hate reading it, but it is getting hard to read. Especially since today is my due date and baby is still pretty cozy in my ute. Sigh.

    I just opened a diaper and was immediately covered in projectile poo. Hand, leg, sheets, all covered. Now to change linens while baby screams in the swing. X_X

    ETA there is poo on his FACE. Wtf.

    My LO has also been cluster feeding at night. It's a vicious cycle of nursing to sleep, pooping while he nurses, changing his diaper, he wakes up, and repeat. So sleepy.

    I dont remember my babies doing that till they were older.. I guess its good we block that shit out!

    Almost makes me want to just FF to start.  I feel sympathy shooting pains in my nipples just reading about it.

    Word. Also, I'm wondering how the fuck I'll even manage that with a 3 year old.

    We must block out everything in order to have more Lo's because I don't remember anything! I ask DH daily how long till this? Or do you remember how long this lasts. Hopefully cluster feeding doesn't last too long.

    Its 6am and I am ready to lose it. DH had to work until 10pm last night (so I was alone with ds2 all day) and this morning he is taking ds1 to a survival weekend thing. So he had to sleep when he got off work so he could drive which means I woke at 3am on Friday and will not get a good rest until they get back tomorrow night. And of course ds2 picks this weekend to be fussy and not wanting to sleep. Im on the verge of sleep deprived exhaustion tears.

    Add me to the up all night list. The baby refuses to sleep even though she keeps yawning. And my DH had to go into work for a few hours this morning so I don't get a reprieve even though it's Saturday. Also I need to find time to get on my PC to change my ticker. I mostly mobile bump.

    I'm sad that my baby is a week old today! Time is going quickly and I'm sad she's getting older already. Must be the hormones that are making me irrational...

    DD has sleepy feeding baby syndrome. I wish she would eat decently.

    Broke down and supplemented with a bit of formula last night and this morning. I feel like the flood gates for me to fail at breastfeeding have just been kicked open..

    Day/night reversal and cluster feeding are common in the early days/weeks, but it really doesn't last long. You don't need to be scared away from breastfeeding just because of that. It's tough at first no matter how you're feeding baby. :)

    DS2 woke up, like really woke up, at 5ish...and only fell back asleep about 10 minutes ago. 2 minutes later, DS1 woke up. I was going to nap!! :((

    I taking the due date thing better than I thought. I am due today, and I couldn't be more uncomfortable, but I am in pretty good spirits. Probably because it is Saturday. I will not feel this way at work on Monday!!

    DH woke up insanely early and let our cats out of bed. They proceeded to yowl outside the bedroom til I finally let them in. Thanks darling. I know he could hear them.

    Now I am very pregnant and very grumpy.

    I yell at DH about this all the time!! I hate the snooze button. When I first went out on maternity leave hel didn't set his alarm for the right time for like a week bc he was used to waking up with mine. Of course I couldn't sleep well always freaking out he'd be late for work.

    @Emerald27‌ that's so awesome!! We had clothes we were going to give to a friend who needed them, but DH accidentally have them to good will! Someone in need will still get them though! :)

    @MrsSarahRenee‌ hang in there! I'll be you tomorrow. I don't think this kid got the memo that he needs to get out!

    My annoying random: we do monthly family birthday gatherings on my husbands side of the fam, and an aunt is doing October birthdays since her son and DIL have them. And she didn't include me (the only other oct birthday) AND planned the gathering on my due date!! WTF! Cue pregnant lady rage.

    Just anywhere with nursing supplies. Amazon. I got mine at Target.
