One time I got in a fight with a literal cowboy, complete with hat, on a plane for calling me "honey", at 6am.

My UO: doctors offices should be first come first served. Appointments are clearly just a way to toy with people's patience. I'd rather form a line and sign in and be seen in that order.

I walk out after 30 minutes. My time matters as well. And don't even bill me for the missed appointment.
My exception are doctors who deal with emergencies during appointments like an ob/gyn.
It came on after Toy Story of Terror, which my kids love. I was about to change it bc nobody wanted to watch it, however, the baby was screaming at the moment, like inconsolable screaming. I turned her around to sit her upright (she'd been laying on me) & as soon as she focused on the TV, she stopped screaming like in a trance focused on it.

TTC since August 2011, Me = 40, DH = 38
Unexplained IF. Tried Clomid for 3 cycles. All BFNs. BFP 1/6/13. Chemical pregnancy.
Moving on to IVF#1. ER 11/26/13, 16 eggs retreived, 12 mature and all fertilized. 2 blasts transferred on 12/1. All other embies arrested so nothing left to freeze. Beta 12/10 = BFN. IVF #2 March 2014. BFP!!! TEAM BLUE!!!

I see nothing wrong with saying the Pledge of Allegiance, or learning the National Anthem for that matter. If they want to silently abstain, that's their decision.
But I do hope that kids understand the freedoms that they have as an American and how that compares with other countries so they are appreciated. And I hope they also have good examples of veterans that have helped to protect those freedoms. Of course, I want them to learn about what this country has done wrong too and not just stick to the glossed over history books we had in grade school - but I also want my kids to realize the sacrifice that the average person had to make in times like WWII.

Who is compelling you? Are you punished for not doing it? Are you taxed differently? Are you put in a different category for it?
You can feel it is unncessary that's cool. No one is compelling you though. Maybe you need to look that word up. Also because this country is free you are able to post your opinion on a public message board without any fear of how unnecessary you think it is.
Yeah, I agree america is free. That's the point of why we don't need a "pledge". Why do we even have it? Again, if you don't do it...then what? Nothing right? So it's unnecessary.
