I have been around military people since I was 19, so I have been used to being called ma'am. I don't associate it with being old, I think it's more a respect thing. Like you are a lady.

I gave the Marines a pass because they have that drilled into their brains...

Ok, it's just a bunch of facts about Ebola until the end where it tells us that this outbreak may be a surprise to us but not to god because he knows fucking everything, duh. Also, don't trust in science to control the outbreak. Instead trust in god because even though he sent the disease here from up in the clouds or whatever, he's also going to stop it. Seems like he could have saved himself the trouble and just never fucked with it to begin with. But I'm a mere science-and-doctor-loving mortal so wtf do I know?

As a born & raised Southerner, I have to agree woth @HeadBtchInCharge‌.

I think my issue with being called ma'am is bc I am slowly being forced to accept that I am no longer the spring chicken I wanna think I am, & some 20something kid comes by calling me ma'am is like the nail in the coffin

The pledge is creepy as shit, but DS has started saying it all the time and he says "undergone in baseball" instead of "under god indivisible" and can't say the word liberty so it's the cutest thing I've ever seen and I make him say it all the time for me now.

I've been to to many haunted houses. Now they are all the same & I end up pissed off that I had to spend good money to go thru it. But my oldest LOVES them & is just getting to the point where I can take her to the "good" ones, so I suck it up & spend the money to go.

And I also tell them her name & ask them to scare the shit out of her & whatever little friend goes with us. I'm getting my moneys worth damnit!

Cream of ______ Alternative

Prep Time: 2mn

Cook Time: 5mn

Total Time: 7mn

INGREDIENTS

• 2 tablespoons butter
• 3 tablespoons flour
• 1/2 cup chicken broth
• 1/2 cup milk (I used 1%)
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

DIRECTIONS

1. In a small sauce pan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour and let cook for 1-2 minutes.
2. Slowly stir in chicken broth, then milk. Whisk until it begins to thicken. Let it simmer for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Personally, I'm ok with an occassional can of cream of something soup so long as it's not all the time.  Of course I'm also ok with an occassional cigarette - I've been known to not always make the best choices.
