    WHERE IN THE HELL DO THEY KEEP COMING FROM!!! This has to be 1 or 2 ppl that stir the pot with love tits around the bump on controversial posts and is posting for the fun or the drama.

    To answer your question, her comment was out of line.  She can think it but never should have said it to your face.  If she doesn't approve of a shower for a  3rd baby, she should have declined the invitation and left it at that.   

     

    If you leave off the back story of how "perfect" her life is (trips and gifts from her parents), you wouldn't come off as being jealous.  Those details are irrelevant unless you are jealous of her "perfect" life and you feel entitled to a little slice of it.  Be proud of the life you are providing for your children on your own.  And be grateful for the gifts you do receive from the people who really do care about you. 

     

     

    That's pretty much be the stance on TB in general and I've been here a while.  Had she posted in the actual baby shower community she may have been attacked with a pick fork. 
    Which may have been warranted, lol.

    I feel the same way. To me a shower isnt bout receiving anything for a new baby its bout CELEBRATING this new baby. I have one girl but she doesn't water down the meaning of my second. This whole snark bout multiple showers is like saying "Oh DD you had a birthday last year so we're not doing it again." Being mainly Italian I've grown up to believe you don't need gifts to celebrate or show importance. Just some food and family/friends.  Whoever you wanna share this important event with. I didn't get a shower with my first daughter and I MIGHT be receiving one with this one.  I don't expect any sorta gifts but to have a cook out and spend time with people that'll love my children like I do would be nice.

    Since this has come back to life, is it too late to say that I think I finally figured out "peachy clean"?? Because it dawned on me at dinner that she may have meant "peachy keen." I felt like a genius, and then like I had just wasted all that brain power on this nonsense...
