Hump Day Spam

Gooooood morning ladies!! Hey guess what day it is? That's right it's hump day! Also known as my A/S day! Whoop whoop! So guess who is bright eyed and bushy tailed before 5am?! This guy.

GTKY: one tradition from your childhood you want to (or already) carry on with your kids.

For me it was no homework Saturdays. My parents encouraged us not to do any school work on Saturdays because they believed kids need a break to just be kids.

  • Good morning. It is indeed Wednesday. I will let you know later if that is a good thing.
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

  • @Izzy0927‌ I love that so much! I feel like kids who are busy.. School, sports, activities etc often have more pressure than many grown ups and pushing kids to be involved is so important but it's also so important for them to be reminded "hey.. You have a lot in your plate and i appreciate how hard you worked! Let's take it easy and have a fun/relaxing day"

So motivating when that effort is recognized!

  • I only got to see the blood moon on the tv :( stupid city and clouds.

my H volunteers as a stage manager at a big hip-hop music festival every year - which starts today and goes through Sunday. This means I get to wake up sometime between midnight and 3am and pick him up from various venues in the city whenever he is finished. So, yay for interrupted sleep for the rest of the week :-<  On the plus side - this means I get the rest of the week's evenings and all day Saturday to myself to eat what I want and do what I want (even the need to clean, do laundry, and grocery shop since we were out of town last weekend can not put a damper on this.)
  • Good luck @erobbins09.. Keep us posted!!

I wanted to ask you all, if you guys really get tired post work too? It's just half a week yet and I feel like it will be impossible to get through the whole week. It's kind of worrying me now. So if it's just me who feels extremely tired by the end of the day I think I need to talk to my doc.
  • Good morninggggg! I slept horribly last night, stressing out about getting everything done this week since I'm off Friday. Blarg. And spoke to my BFF (who I can't WAIT TO SEE) but word on the street is I "can DD for everyone" this weekend. No. I am going to stay out as late as my pregnant ass can handle and anyone leaving when I am is welcome to a ride! Ugh, this is what happens when husband's plan big get togethers. Haha this could turn into a shit show. Oh well, either way I get QT with her and that's enough for me!!!

GTKY: You know, DH and I have discussed traditions a bit, but neither of us had tons growing up. My mom always did a big fancy breakfast on Christmas (china and OJ in wine glasses!) and I think that was so special. I'd like to do something like that.

  • @maasybaby‌ yeah exactly what I am worried about. I feel really exhausted since a few days and I think I might be low on something. I am seeing my doc in 2 weeks. You think it's okay to wait until then? Or should I do something immediately?
  • Well, its 5:45am here in Reno, and I didn't sleep a wink last night. Now I am just sitting here in the airport at my gate waiting to board my flight to Phoenix. The TSA guy who scanned me got upset because I received a special placard for being pregnant, giving me extra time to get through the checkpoint. Today has already proved to be exhausting. Not looking forward to flying a prop plane into Palm Springs. So loud and such a bumpy ride.

You got a special placecard? I'm flying into Phoenix on Saturday, what airline are you flying?

@selly08‌ I'm totally exhausted but chalking that up to 10/11 hr work days and I'm on my feet a lot. Doesn't help when I have circulatory issues too. I probably should eat better also. Scared I won't be able to handle work and a baby!! I'm freaking out a bit :(

  • Good morning ladies! Good luck today @erobbins09‌ !!! Good GTKY this morning. Mine is that our presents from Santa were never wrapped. They would just be laid out and if it was something that needed to be assembled, it would already be put together when we woke up. My mom has lots of funny stories of putting stuff together until 3am on Christmas morning:)

  • @BeckyP005‌ I hope you feel better soon. Mine sounds like a better job than yours. It doesn't involve too much of standing or physical work. You should go easy on your work for now. Don't stress out yourself too much.
  • Morning ladies... Hump day it is.

Quick question: I've started getting family members from OOT asking when our baby shower is and I still have not been told or asked which dates work for me nor for a guest list (my BFs are all procrastinators at times). The OOT family will be coming from NC, TX, GA so of course they need time to plan ahead especially the TX fam. How do I asked that question without being needy or anxious, or seem like I'm trying to dictate what's going on. My mom who's just helping even ask me this morning and offered to help them because she's a planner and knows I like to have stuff in order. And she is fully aware of my guest list and OOT family. Help please.

GTKY: Christmas Eve my cousins and I always make cookies to give to everyone in our family. I want to start a new tradition for my family for a family trip around that time. Of course this year is out cause I'm not gonna wanna travel during that time preggers but maybe next year. Also at Thanksgiving my husband and I have a small dinner at our house to get to spend time with our immediate family we cook the normal stuff but also cook other things as well. Like lasagna, salmon, grilled food etc. Needless to say our immediate family that comes over enjoys our house the most lol.
  • GTKY: Christmas Eve traditions as well! We go to Mass and then bake cookies for Santa w my inlaws and then go have our Christmas celebration with my dad and extended family. Even just thinking about this makes me excited! 2 months ladies!

Now I'm going to bitch! I have this friend who is pregnant too, and EVERY time I mention a food restriction she basically tells me I'm an idiot. Yesterday a mutual friend of ours brought in a freaking amazing looking turkey sandwich for lunch and I commented on how badly I wanted to steal it but since pregnant ladies aren't supposed to eat lunch meat (unless it's warmed up) that I would have to do w my chili instead. She basically said, "other than not drinking I didn't put any dietary restrictions on myself with my first"...

Well that's great but if I can protect my baby from even one more thing by denying myself something so stupid then I'm going to. This is the same friend who suggested I get rid of my 3 cats, that we've had for 4 years, when she found out I was pregnant.
