Just sitting in the parking lot waiting to go to work. It is storming like crazy. Yesterday I went shopping for some work clothes and could not find one maternity black polo. Starting to get really frustrated. Hope everyone has a great Monday.
Up and getting ready earlier than usual today. A principal at my firm asked me to accompany her to a client meeting today- I'm assuming as a trial run for a promotion I'm up for. SOO nervous! I want to make a great impression. I think it's a coffee morning.
Mosquitos kept me up for large portions of the night last night. The weekend was good overall. Now I'm off to do my morning run for the first time in a couple of weeks.
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

Not looking forward to work today. I haven't been in the office since Wednesday afternoon due to my kidney stone. And our financial system changed to a completely new computer system. Greattt. Also still feeling super constipated from the 4, yes only 4 hydrocodone pills I took while in pain over the past few days. Lame.
@Paleomama I haven't seen mat polos either but I'll keep my eyes out. Going shopping for cocktail dresses for weddings this week. Eek.
@sugahcookie01 word. Feelin ya. Also, maintain food porn on the circ thread
@MapleMomma enjoy your AS! I almost fell asleep during mine. It was amazing to see her but it was at 7:30am and in a dark room laying down for an hour. Haha
@aggiebug yay no boss! I love when mine is away too.
Can't wait to meet our darling daughter, Abigail Elizabeth
I so didn't want to go to work today. Just wasn't feeling it.
Everyone keeps saying once I quit I'll be bored being a SAHM. I don't see how I'll be busy all the time with a newborn, a 7 yr old, a house, and an idiot husband whose like another child. Pretty sure i won't be bored all that much considering people in my house can't be bothered to even get their own towels before taking a shower.
I wish it would just hurry up and by Thursday already. Thats when my A/S is.

My inlaws will be arriving in less than 48 hours and my anxiety is already starting to escalate. They are staying for a month and the most horrible house guests (ie. do not cook, buy groceries or pick up after themselves). I'm basically adding 2 more kids to the mix. In the past, they have even complained about what I've made for dinner and proceeded to go get fast food. Somebody help me!
Ive been up and going since 545! Adjusting to a new schedule. Dh starts new job today so i was up to get him breakfast and drive him to work this morning. We are still sharing a car (ughhhh) since his Lincoln needs a new fuel pump. DD and i are now at home eating breakfast before i take her to school. Fruit and yogurt parfaits from mcdonalds are the bomb!
In other news here is my new nephew!! Looks like my little brother (the sister that had the baby... Her twin) bought the hat. Lol. Baby's name is Arlyn David. His grandma was holding him here. I lucked out and got there right before everyone else left so i got to snuggle him for an hour! He is 9lbs 2oz and 22" long! Big boy!!

Ugh. I am taking my first sick day of this pregnancy. Yesterday morning I woke up feeling like I was going to puke. Things got better and I could eat breakfast and lunch, but by dinner I was feeling totally achy and sick with all aspects of my GI tract upset. Even drinking water has been hard. Still feeling awful this am, so I'm taking it easy today.
Morning ladies... Sleepy Monday.. like the rest of you all... I didn't want to get up.. it's freezing in the AM.. fall is here for sure.
In other news this week is going to be emotional for me. Tomorrow marks the year anniversary of my dad's passing from prostate cancer and I will be 1/2 baked on Thursday.
so hard to get up this morning, it didn't help that DS is getting in a bad habit of needing a MOTN soothing session, he screams and stands up in his crib, I finally give in and go in there and as soon as I put him on my chest in the rocking chair he is dead asleep and snuggled into my neck. Then comes the task of how to get him back in his crib without restarting the scream fest.
I also hurt my back yesterday which I am really upset about, I have had back problems in the past, and when I felt that familiar pull in my lower back yesterday (was picking up DS), I felt sick with the realization of what it meant. It hurts pretty bad today, but it has been worse in the past so I am hoping a few days of taking it easy (only picking up DS when really necessary, etc) will help.
I also head back out of town for work on Wednesday for 5 days, so I have a 4 hour flight with a hurting back to look forward too.
WOW, I am a complainer today!
on a positive note, we had a great weekend, DS first haircut came out really well and we went to the Circus with DHs whole family yesterday afternoon, which surprisingly DS did really well for, he watching and was good for 90% of it, we only lost his attention for the very end since he was getting tired and hungry.
@kkleigh10 , I'm teary-eyed just reading that! I heard about it but wasn't watching the game, but that's great you got to see it in person!
After having what may have been a dream, or may have been sleepy real-life, I felt the baby move last night. OR NOT? I think it was a dream, I was in bed and felt things going on in my stomach after I got up at 1:30am to pee. Convinced it wasn't real, I just rented myself a mother f'ing Doppler from one of those sites for a month. My patience is done and hopefully after a month of Doppler usage, I'll get reassurance that he's still there and everything is fine with actual movements.
So I'm just now catching up on a lot of the weekend posts. I am so jealous of all the ladies who get to go apple picking! Next fall, we are going to drive somewhere with the LOs to pick apples and pumpkins right off the patch. This year we settle for the pumpkin festival which has a knee high corn maze and frozen (then heated) apple pie.
Good morning ladies I slept in today because my cute FI got out of bed at 6.. He went downstairs, came back up and got back into bed deciding he wasn't going to work today... Usually I get up with him but nope laying in bed as long as possible.
A little bummed he picked to have today off since I still have to go to class but he and his DD will have a fun snuggley day and I'll pop in and out.
@kkleigh10 we watched the game last night and I'm surprised they didn't televise that... But I would have been a wreck.. I almost cried reading your post about it it's amazing the way the NFL community has stood behind him... He was due to be cut from the roster but they kept him on in order for him to continue to be able to provide healthcare for his daughter which is pretty amazing in the cut-throat world of sports contracts.
A/S wednesdayyyyyyy penis, hooha... I don't care I just want to see my baby! It's been almost 9 weeks since my 1 and only ultrasound.
I'm back from my NYC weekend excursion. Which, frankly, got off to a pretty shitty start. My flight was delayed 3 and 1/2 hours - which made me 30 min late for my FIRST ever on Broadway show ( luckily the venue was really nice and sat us as soon as we got there and checked my suitcase for me. The rest of the show was awesome, but I was kinda lost on the story. The rest of the weekend went well though, and H got to see all but 1 of the friends he was trying to see.
Planning a busy week at work to make up for all my vacation time messing up my schedule in Sept. though.
First day back at work after a nice week of home rest...sigh. And to top it off...I have a cold and Robitussin is doing diddly-squat to help this cough!!
I just want to go back home and lie in my bed!!!
Anyway...have a good Monday ladies!

Today is my last day with DH til November it's gonna be a loonnggg month without him. I absolutely hate when he is gone and my dog gets all mopey and sad. What did you see??? Glad you at least made it for most of it!
We saw Cabaret - Alan Cumming was AWESOME soooo awesome. Michelle Williams was only ok - the character she played had an annoying voice/accent - which I am pretty sure was how it was supposed to be, but it was hard to dissociate Michelle's talent from the annoyingness of the character - also she isn't that great of a singer.

Good morning! I have no idea why I used that exclamation point given how tired I feel. Last night was not a restful night. But kiddo woke up with me and gave me a few good kicks to get me started. I needed it after some of the dreams I had.
Between the upcoming Bahamas wedding, an office event, and an office retreat, I only have two full days in the office this week. Will I make the most of them? That definitely remains to be seen.
Awaiting our bundle of cute chaos.

@kkleigh10 -- I also teared up reading that! On Saturday night at the Rutgers game they did a 'hero homecoming' surprise. A marine's father was featured on the big screen in one of the end zones accepting an award on behalf of his son who is in Afghanistan. The announcer then said, direct your attention to the screen for a message from John in Afghanistan. Well ... then he comes running out of the tunnel and bear hugs his father. There were tears streaming down my face.

There are two types of baristas....

We're ending my last favorite few weeks of fall, the weeks where I can't figure where to set the thermostat. It's 45-55 at night but gets up to 80 or higher most days. I woke up an icicle again. On the bright side, DS seems to sleep better when it's cooler outside.
I'm debating whether I should get dressed and had to the grocery store today or just wait until tomorrow when DH is of work. Both my guys need haircuts anyway and I can live without butter and flour for a day. Maybe I'll focus on cleaning instead.
GL to everyone on their a/s today & this week! Still lounging in bed with the dogs while DH gets ready for work. I'm always a bum the day before I start my week on of nights. Finally picked out our strollers and baby monitor yesterday. I went to double check the salesperson added everything yesterday afternoon & saw someone already purchased our pack n play, rock n play & swing! So exciting

The run this morning was good! I added a little distance and my time was consistent with the last few runs, so overall pretty positive.
I got a wicked charlie horse on Saturday night during the zoo thing, but I found out that if I don't expand too much in the next couple weeks, I should be able to wear that dress for the wedding, otherwise it's dress shopping the day before.
I am so happy DS still takes a 1 1/2 - 2 hr nap daily. He is almost 4 and insists on his stroller when we go out. When he gets sleepy he asks for it and he naps in there. I love it.
So, for my spam, DH and I had a very expensive weekend. ( We were childless Saturday and went to a small concert. It was ok, I would have rather gone on a dinner/movie date. That wasn't the expensive part.
We have been putting our German Shepherd inside at night. He is a calm dog and doesn't make mistakes inside so we don't have a problem with him sleeping inside during the winter months (starting in October). Well, yesterday, I put him outside around 7:30am. I put my other dog out about 8 and when I opened the door, the front steps were COVERED in blood. Max's front paws were bloody too. I thought "WTH did you kill??" I told DH and went to pick up DS from my parent's. When I came back, DH is man handling Max and washing his paw. He also had a sock and tape. DH taped an old sock to his paw and we went to church. I was worried about Max all morning but DH said he will be fine.
During service my mom calls. She said he was bleeding a lot. We left and again, the front of my house and my parent's COVERED in blood. There was even bloody mud where he was laying down. I told DH we have to take him to the emergency vet. I am soooo glad we did. He sliced his paw/toe really bad.
He had a 3/4" cut that was really deep. He also cut his artery that went to the toe. The vet said if it went to the bone, they will amputate but losing that toe won't affect his gate. I started crying.
Turns out, they did not amputate his toe, but he also cut his tendon. So they closed the artery, sewed the tendon and stitched his paw. His toe may curl up because of the tendon, but still won't affect his gate. He has a pressure dressing on, meds, and the cone of shame. I have to take him in today for a dressing change and he will be in the cone of shame for 2 weeks. Since we both work, we keep him in the garage and my uncle is staying with him. I don't want him running on it. The entire thing cost us $650.00. He is a good dog and he is only 2. I told DH there is no other option and he agreed. I'm just happy my Max is ok.
