@crystalangel79 congrats!! I'm soo excited for you!! I know you've been waiting to take her home, and I'm so glad you get to so soon!! FX this week goes by super fast!
And here we are still awake. Ds just fed again is so noisy and wiggly and dd is still running around like a looney bird... Here's to hoping the littles go to sleep soon so that I can get up with the bigs and get them to school on time. It's been a bit of a struggle to get up with my alarm this week.
45 minutes of sleep and then I heard the diaper filling. Changed him and started getting him all swaddled up to feed and heard his little bum again. Checked diaper, clean!! Yay!! Get the little guy 80% swaddled and now have to check the diaper again however this time is not going to be clean. I'm giving him a few minutes to finish while I vent about diapers and then maybe we can get him fed and back in his bed.
I'm also annoyed because dh is asleep through all of this and I have no reason to be. He watched the wild toddler while watching a movie also and I tended to the tiny one and napped. I just need a reason to be annoyed that I have to get up in 2 1/2 hours and can't blame the baby.
SO wanted to take care of DS all night so I could sleep for which I love him, but he thinks the pacifier is a cure all. So I got up 2 hours ago to get a pumped bottle, an hour ago to change him, and am up now BFing, and he's mad I took him. Sorry he's hungry?

I swear every, dang time it's change diaper , feed , burp, feed, change diaper, feed, rock, swaddle, feed, rock, bed. Wtf, kid, this is ending up being a 2 hour process.
I seriously have no idea how many days it's been since I've had a shower. But I should probably win an award for it. Or something.
I know right?!?!! It's awful when DH gets home and I excitedly tell that I got a shower that day like its something special to "normal people". But to me it is. I mean the stars have to align and all my babies have to be asleep! When does that happen?!??
The pedi said it's no longer necessary to wake LO at night, to just feed on demand. Yay! Problem: little miss apparently still thinks she needs to be up every 3 hours. :-q
Went to visit a friend/neighbor and stayed longer than I thought we would. Came home to dd2 asleep after no nap today, yay! And then she woke up while ds2 was having his 10pm feeding. Boo. Tried to get her back to sleep by snuggling with her and she waited for me to fall asleep and then snuck away. I'm so lucky dh was able to take so much time off of work and stay up with her while baby and I go to bed earlier than he gets to. My trade off is that I do motn stuff alone and get up to send the older kids off to school while he sleeps. it gets lonely at night and early morning by myself.
I am here, so exciting right? It is 2:30 here and we just had our first night feeding since 9:00pm. This must be some record for Mia. I still can't walk from the blood clot which sucks but it is making those middle of the night runs to the kitchen for a snack, a thing of the past.
Do we get points deducted for bad punctuation and spelling on these motn posts?
@PumpkinNHunny Yes! My LO sounds so congested but only when eating! I plan on asking pedi on Friday but vaguely remember this from DS1 and her telling me is normal?
@biokitty42 OMG...yes! Same here....it's as if he knows! And I'm trying so hard to make this one a better sleeper than DS1 and not make the same mistakes.....but he just sleeps so much better on my chest!
@MrsLaLaBug LOL! So true! I had a shower tonight at 9pm....after 4 days.......yikes!
@tigger99 One thing DS1 taught me is just when we think we have them figured out they change things up on us....good luck at appointments.
It's now 3:45....been up since 2:30 for MOTN feed....just under 3 hours since last....poor little guy just can't go longer than 3. I thought FF babies went longer! At least DS1 did, this guy can just eat! I'm now stalling hoping DS1 doesn't wake up. If he doesn't that would make it 3 nights in a row! That's a record for us....hasn't done that since hes been born.....but it will cost me another "surprise" in the morning. Yes..,.I'm not ashamed to say I'm bribing him. Whatever works for all if us to sleep.
Someone mentioned gassy LO. We are miserable here too. On day 3 of formula change but he's still pushing and grunting with very little success. Poor kid. Think we will end up on Alimentum on Friday along with Zantac for reflux. Hopefully that will make the gagging/choking noises stop too.....
Time to transfer him back to co-sleeper....hoping he doesn't wake up!
This six week growth spurt can suck it. The only place T stayed asleep for more than ten minutes today is on my chest or if I am holding/wearing him.
I put him down to try and eat earlier and we made it ten minutes before he realized I wasn't holding him. He threw a fit when DH was holding him earlier. He at least slept in the carrier when DH wore him while we went to the grocery store.
I hope this isn't a precursor to the rest of the night.

I wish my child would take a damn bink. This whole human pacifier thing at 4 am is bs. She is wide awake just taking the world in. No, it's bedtime. Sleep baby.
I want to punch whoever came up with the stupid ass term, sleeping like a baby.
Up with LO for our second MOTN feed. He slept from 8-1:45 earlier which is amazing for him. He normally only sleeps 2 hours between feeds. And of course I didn't go to bed till after 11, so I didn't get to enjoy the 5 hours of constant sleep. Now it's 4 and he's up again to eat;

I had to make DH stay up an extra hour so I could take a shower tonight. My first in idk how long so it.was.ah.mazing. Just fabulous. And DS who I thought was eating, was actually letting all the milk run out of his mouth..so I need another shower (
I'm so happy. LO last ate at 12:30, was asleep by 1:15 and woke up at 5:10! Glorious. I was shocked when I looked at the time. But he is wide awake now so I may be screwed.

We've gotten two 3 hour sleeping stretches tonight! Last two nights have been a nightmare with an upset/fussy/crying LO with horrible gas for at least four hour stretches. Tonight has been back to normal but after DHs last feed at 330 ... LO was up within a half an hour. Happens. Every. Time. His routine is different than mine and won't change to what I do which gets him fed, changed and asleep in 30 mins!
Just pissed off right now. Dd2 has not been wanting to take a nap so she falls asleep at 8 or 9pm then wakes up an hour later which then turns into a 3am bedtime. Now ds1 is up and bugging me while I'm freaking exhausted during my 2nd motn feed/change in addition to the toddler not wanting to go to bed until an hour before now. WHY CANT THESE KIDS EFFING SLEEP ALREADY??????? The 10 day old infant sleeps better at night than any of the rest of my kids and it's making me cranky.
Got up at 2:15 to pump before feeding LO. Woke him up at 2:40 and decided to give him formula instead of breast milk so that maybe I could get a little more sleep in the morning... Yeah, it's now 4:40 and he's still up. Please go back to bed and stop playing possum because mommy is tired

Welp LO has been very fussy all day not sureif it was ghad related, growth spurt, or what she was not running a fever but I could not put her down without her crying. Although maybe it has helped her sleep better tonight (if you have been reading my struggles you know she had not been sleeping anywhere but my arms). Slept 40 mins in bassinet earlier till my dog wojr her up now I place her in the bassinet while awake and she falls asleep. I am having to stay awake though to watch her she is wrapped in a fluffy blanket and I dont want her to suffocate, since she does not want clothes on and she has peed or spit up on all her sswaddle blankets again. I guess this means I get to catch up on more episodes of criminal minds!

As for BF, It's been a long couple of days but I am determined to make this work! Even if that means no sleep for me. Mombie for life!
