@sharmon1317 thanks for checking on me! Tonight I took a hot shower and drank a huge glass of milk before bed...lo slept 5 hours and I woke a few times but was able to go back to sleep each time. So that's a win! We just had our first motnf so we'll see if I can go back to sleep. It'll be the real test....

So all week LO one was up like every two hours then all of the sudden he has slept 9 to 10 hours the past 2 days. I'm so happy I could cry. I just pray he keeps this sleeping through the night thing up
Yes. This. Instead of being up every 3-3.5 hours, it has been every 2 hours with lots of fussing in between while he toots up a storm. I have so much to do this weekend. My daughter's 6th birthday party is Sunday. We've still got to make the party favors and pick up balloons and the cake. Oh, and a present. She also has soccer on Saturday. My husband signed up to volunteer at our local food bank on Saturday so he will be gone half the day. When am I going to sleep?! WAHHHH!!!
My LO has been sleeping on her side almost since she was born. If I put her on her back, so automatically rolls on to her side.
She also got herself completely out of her swaddle and wiggled herself to the other side of the pack n play. I thought maybe my OH forgot to put the swaddle on. Nope..she just wanted out. But she sucks at sleeping without one.
When I put ...on her side she doesn't startle, and she sleeps more soundly than when she's on her back, even with gas. If she's got a lot of gas in the morning after I feed her, I'll bring her into our bed so I can watch her.
Ds had slept on his side from the beginning, hes happier that way and if I put him on his back he rolls to his side. I rolled up two smaller towels to put on either side of him so i dont have to worry about him rolling on his stomach yet, its worked wonders.
DS has busted out of his swaddle the last couple of nights. Does this mean it's time to stop swaddling!? DH wants to give it a shot, but I'm not so sure. His swaddle is the right size, and DH wraps him up tightly. Any of you have a good sleeper without swaddling??
@Matthew930 i swaddle him but leave his arms out, if i don't he freaks out but half swaddle with him on his side with the towels on either side and he doesn't budge, he sleeps so well like that. Naps during the day no swaddle and i usually put him in his bouncy seat or the couch.
Eta ill post a pic if you want to see how i set it up.

You haven't checked in so I'm assuming you slept pretty good! 5 hours is great! Yay!
I actually was only up for about an hour. So that's progress! Hopefully tonight goes well too.
. . . . Any of you have a good sleeper without swaddling??
We're just lazy and haven't swaddled since the hospital. A few weeks ago LO went from waking every 2-3 hours to doing 6 -7 hr stretches and even STTN a few times.

We didn't swaddle last night and it went pretty well. He was up at midnight, but I gave him his pacifier back and he fell back asleep. He was up again at 1:30 and I fed him and he went back down. He woke again at 6, ate and is sleeping again!
LO ate at 9 and was down by 10. DH said he'd sleep on my side by the RnP. Okay. At 1 LO wakes and DH moved back to his side and said it was my turn cuz he was "on duty for 4 hours"... um pretty sure it was 3 and of which DS was sleeping the entire time... sleepy men ugh
I think my kid's going to put himself on a schedule much sooner than DS1 did, and sadly I think that schedule is going to include having a poop somewhere around 5 a.m. every morning. Not so bad if it didn't include having to work up to it for 1-2 hours ahead of time. :P
My husband has gotten up with baby once! Ever! I haven't been sleeping well lately and baby was up a lot last night with gas. Last night dh went to sleep at 8 and I didn't mess with him do he should be well rested. This morning when baby woke up again at 7 I changed him fed Him and gave him to dh so I could try and sleep. That sob came in the room and woke me up at 8:30! The baby was happy! He woke me up for no fucking reason! Murder is coursing through my vains!

I'd be so pissed too. Sorry I wish you could get more sleep.
@Nichole8787 I did the same thing at 6. I said I had to pump and he was in charge. I laid down at 7 and DH woke me up at 8. I think our guys think the same...

So I tried the whole arms out of the swaddled but legs in last night. NOPE. It's a no go. Little man still needs swaddled tightly or he flails around and smacks himself in the face... and then cries. I may still be swaddling him at 3 lol.
However he does not get swaddled for naps, but he tucks his hands by his face, behind his head, or along his side.... exactly how I sleep. I think I have a mini-me. Only he has a penis )
I've been MIA for the past few days because little miss has decided she doesn't want to stay asleep in her crib. She will only sleep in someone's arms. DH and I have been taking turns sleeping with her on the couch (where I'm not as concerned about one of us rolling over on her) we even went out and bought a rnp to see if that would help... Nope. Now she just wants to be in our arms. (
DH has baby duty at night on the weekends because i work. He was up with LO for a whole hour and a half before he brings him back in our room to lay him back down. DS wakes up and he starts crying that he's so tired and been up so long. Really? He lets DS lay there and cry until I get up. Men and are such freaking whiners!

My lo is doing the same thing! Sure hope it gets better soon!
Just when I think we might be down to one motn feeding a night, I'm then laughed at. Blah. Why does it make me feel like I'm doing something wrong when she doesn't sleep more than a few hours in a row at night?

You aren't doing anything wrong. Babies are just caaaaaaRAAAAAZZZZYYY! your doing great..... on another note I managed to sleep after ds woke up so in calling tonight a success even though it's not over
@Matthew930 DS went from 8-2 and then 2:30-6:30. Let's just say I woke up before him because milk was rolling down the side of my body. Leaked through the breast pad, bra, and tank top. Fed DS and still had to pump after because I was engorged. Got 4 ounces. I think all of his every 2 hour feedings puts them in overdrive at night. I'm ready for this magical adjustment people speak of because my boobs haven't gotten the memo yet.
My LO normally wakes up around 2am to feed - its pretty quick now and we are back in bed by 2:30 most nights. Last night I got up around 2 to pee and she was still sleeping. I checked on her on my way back to bed and she was sleeping on her stomach. She loves sleeping on her stomach, but I am paranoid about her doing it unsupervised. I gently turned her over and that was a mistake - commence frantic crying. Ugh...why couldn't I just leave her alone to sleep in peace! I might have gotten the whole night!
Re: Night crew check in!
