DS slept from 10-3 and he nursed in one side and was full. So I lay him down and tell DH if he gets fussy that he will likely want a diaper change. I go to pump the other side and DH brought him to me while I was pumping and said that DS wanted me not him. Urgh. I stop pumping and he's all swaddled wonky and uncomfortable. I have to piss him ohandle everto redo it and then rock him while DH sleeps. I'm fuming and it's now after 5 and I still can't get back to sleep.
Why does he think all MOTN stuff falls on me? He said cuz i breastfeed. But I know even if DS took bottles DH wouldn't help in MOTN. :-w
Mommy strike!! Pump pump pump and then go on strike for a whole night so that DS is DH's responsibility. Worked for me! He'd rather help and lose an hour of sleep then be awake all night with a crying baby and have no help from me!
I actually shamed my husband into taking care of baby some at night. One weekend any time someone asked about Baylors osleep I would go on and on about it in a sweet way and add in how hard dh works so I've never asked him to get up blah lah blah....everyone said it was total Crap, dh should be getting up, I work hard too and I take care of the baby etc....I didn't have to say a word. By Sunday night dh felt so bad that he offered to handle everything. Now I get one of those Nights every few weeks.
After the first 2-3 nights with dd and seeing how DH acts in motn I said eff it, I will do it myself. He sleeps on the couch and I get my big ol bed to myself.
I do have to say that the way my DH acted with motn feelings caught me off guard, I guess in my head I had a perfect husband....hahahaha that bubble burst really fast after dd was born.
Yeah, I'm a board this DH does nothing in the MOTN train. It infuriates me that he just sleeps great every night while I get up to feed and rock back to sleep because he "works"...really? What is being a full time mom? We never get a break, or a day off. Our job doesn't end at 5 and we don't get a good nights rest!
Glad I'm not the only one. I swear the cake was iced and top with ice cream today when DH told me to go work out. I told him I couldn't because baby would cry and he'd call me at the gym frantically. Then asked him why I should go to the gym. He didn't say another word...he's still learning.
Mental breakdown at 2am... I'm so frustrated with my child and I feel beyond guilty for being that way. He won't fucking sleep. Ever!!!!!! I seriously just can't even handle anything right now!!! Ugh!!
I'm so sorry honey!! Big hugs! It will get better. Don't feel bad for feeling that way. It's totally normal.
Take a deep breath, maybe walk around the house without the baby for a moment. Just get a few moments of "me time." I hope it gets better for the both of you quickly!
@sharmon1317 i agree with @TexasGirl81 don't feel bad we've all beeb there at one time or another, its hard to deal when you're over tired yourself, especially if they are fussy and wont sleep, and don't feel bad putting LO down and walking away for a few, even just for a minute to take some deep breaths. Try to get in a nap today, you'll feel so much better
Guiesss! Has been SO good the past two days and last night slept from 930-330 ate and changed and back to bed within 25 minutes and then slept until 720! I'm so excited I feel amazing and it's good to know he can sleep that long in the middle of the night lol.
Much better than the super cranky baby that woke up five and six times a few nights ago

This. DS slept from 8:30-3. Back down by 3:30 and slept until 7 when he was still asleep but fidgety so I picked him up. All smiles. Finally!
Ugh DS slept last week every single night from 8:45 -4am...last night 8:45 and we are back to 1am...3am...6am...8am... I'm hoping last week wasn't just a growth spurt and last night was just a one off deal...well this mama and LO are going back to sleep...3 hours isn't enough ...especially when it's back to work next week
DD slept 10 1/2 hours last night!!! I am one happy mama.

Little man has been on a pretty good sleep schedule. Down at 9, up at 2, up at 5 and back down until 8. I have a new work schedule that gets us up at 4:30 and out of the house at 5:30. I'm seriously hoping this doesn't ruin our night schedule.
Why do you tease me with a good nights sleep DS!! He will STTN for a few days and then go back to two or more MOTN feedings. My boobs are so confused lol
Dh doesn't work today so I decided to leave Baylor at home this morning while I went to work. Baylor was so peaceful until I went to walk out the door. Then screams bloody murder....why? It breaks my heart and now I'm spending my while morNing worried.
DD is killing me with this wake up 3 times a night thing! She breaks out of her swaddle because she's too strong for the Velcro. But she won't go to sleep without the swaddle. And she wakes up from not being swaddled. I don't know if I just need to not her sleep a few nights to try to get her to sleep with her arms out, or if I need to try a stronger swaddle. Ugh.
@Nichole8787 im sorry that happened before work the other day i ran to the store to get stuff for dinner and left DS with my mom because it was pouring out and when i kissed him goodbye he gave me the saddest frown in the world, i felt so bad!
Right before i closed the door behind me though i heard him laugh and he was all smiles when i got back, just try to think hes happy and in good hands extra snuggles when you get home can help too.
How long did it take to get better? The only thing I can figure is LO seems to be changing how much she poops. She used to go like 5 times a day and the past 4 days, she's only gone once a day with one day she didn't go at all. I'm wondering if the adjustment is weird/uncomfortable for her.
It lasted about four days with us and then he was doing a bunch of new things sucked at the time lol, but worth it.
Baylor is in bed with me...I know wrong but whatever....he makes the funniest faces! I wish I could record it but the light makes him scruch up his face and stop
DD had such a hard time getting to sleep last night. Her reflux was bothering her and she kept screaming. DH finally managed to rock her to sleep around 12:30. I felt so bad for her. We are seeing a GI doctor on Monday so hopefully he will help her because her current meds are useless.

So I'm at a beach trip with my girlfriends. It's only An over nighter. Only one other girl has kids and hers are older. I drank with them on the beach yesterday, hung out, went to dinner and then gave up and went back to the hotel room. They were all pissed. WHATEVER BITCHES! MOMMA JUST GOT A FULL NIGHTS SLEEP! I'M WALKING ON SUNSHINE WOOOOOAHHH OHHHHH! AND DON'T IT FEEL GOOD!
Laughing on the inside they all have hangovers...mwaaaa hahaha
Is it possible to hit the 4 month sleep regression a month early!? Lol. DS had been sleeping great. From 9-3 then back down until 6 or 7. Now he still goes down at 9 but he's up at 11, 1, 4 and 6. We've tried swaddling, not swaddled, one arm out, going to bed earlier and later, I cut caffeine out for a few days, nothing has helped. Really hoping this is just a growth spurt/ wonder week!

I'm no expert but I have read that putting them to bed earlier in cases like these helps. If I can find the link to where I read it I will share it with you.
Thanks for the blog link. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure DS has plans of his own lol. Got him down at 8 and he woke up at 9:30. It's looking like another long night ahead.
OMG!! I put LO down awake (but tired) so I could pee. Instead of crying like she normally would, she fell asleep and stayed asleep!!! This had never happened before!! This is amazing!!
Fingers crossed for you two! LO was totally passed out on the swing, it had only been 5 min or so and H decides to mive him to the bassinet. I said "isn't it a bit soon". He said no, sure enough he woke up 10 min later. Now we're up and H is snoring. ***sigh***

Ugh. I hate when husbands think they know what they're doing! Lol
I hate when they think they know what they are doing and try and tell me how to soothe my screaming baby....especially in public. Ummmm no. You have no clue. You spend 45 minutes a day with this child.

Now if I could only figure out a way to turn off my internal alarm clock that wakes up at 3:45, 4:45 and 5:45 waiting for her to wake up!
