  I live in a rural area so so,e people do have long driveways. But driving your kid to the end of the driveway to wait for the bus, IMO, is stupid. Walk them down there. Get some exercise.

  It was 1.25 miles to the nearest place to take the bus...
  
  Luckily my mom or older sibling drove me to school though. Occasionally I'd take the bus home though and I would walk it.
