Having a breakdown. LO won't sleep more than 45 min for the past 3 nights and I haven't been to sleep yet tonight. I'm at my wits end.
This was me today. Had a mini meltdown at 4am last night and a bigger one when DH got home from work today. I agree with @Nichole8787 . You have to ask someone for help! I waited until DH got home but I really should have called my SIL earlier than that to take LO off of my hands so I could sleep for longer than 30 minute increments.
Put lo in his cradle...he's laying there whimpering. Not crying just kind of making little sad noises every few seconds...breaking my heart. I'm going tho cave and put him in bed with me soon...
Tonight has been a wake every two hours night again. I thought at nearly 10 weeks of age this would start to ease up. The night before she slept almost a 5 hour stretch so I was feeling very hopeful. Ugh. I even have her on a loose schedule during the day which is supposed to help. It doesn't. All these books I've read are crap. It's all just a bunch of BS.
Okay this tired and grumpy mom is done venting for now.
Like a dumbass I had coffee last night and then nursed. DD was super fussy and wouldn't fall asleep until midnight and woke up at 5am @-)

She hasn't done this in a month. A MONTH. Mommy ain't a happy camper. Oh well. Turned on some calming tunes.. We will rock and feed and go back to bed... I hope. Please god?
I'm am idiot. It's 20 degrees cooler this week on the east coast and i still had dd dressed as though it was 90 degrees at night. No wonder she kept waking up - she was freezing! Poor kid. Hoping to get a little longer this stretch now that she's warm (but she wouldn't burp, so now she's struggling with gas).
DD has been STTN until 6am for two weeks, but tonight, when I didn't get to bed till midnight, she wakes up at 4am. Oh well.

Had lo in bed with me....woke up tho breast milk shooting me in the face because his little arm was shoved into it. I Never considered breast milk to the face would be a way he woke me up
We had survived the 6 week growth spurt, 8 week wonder week, and were back to just one MOTN feeding. Then DS got his shots today and poor little guy is uncomfortable and fussy. Hoping the night isn't too long, and that this only lasts a day or two!
Is the 8th week a wonder week or something? We had two weeks of STTN and now the past two days she's been getting up in the MOTN again. My boobs and I are confused!

yes we were doing 5 hour stretches at night and now the past 2 nights we have been up every 2 and a half hours! He is one day shy of eight weeks

It definitely is! DS is 9 weeks old. Last week his sleep was way off, he was waking up every 2-3 hrs to eat. Last night he was finally back to his normal schedule, a 6hr stretch and then back to sleep until 7. Hope it passes soon for you!
So glad I'm not the only one. I thought I was going crazy lol i totally forgot the wonder week this week.DS hasn't slept good at all the past three nights or during the day and is back to eating every two hours.
9 weeks Friday hopefully after his shots tomorrow and this wonder week ends I'll have my boy back
Oh thank goodness! Glad to know this will pass, I had so gotten used to sleeping at least 6 hours at a time! Thanks @kdelgado03 and @emeek !

G woke up to eat right before i got in bed, after he finished his bottle he was a little fussy when i tried to rock him back to sleep.
I decided to tuck him in in his crib so i could run and pee real quick and he fell asleep, no problem all on his own!
I just put him in his crib after i just changed him and fed him again, while he was wide awake and he's already sleep, again!
I should be happy about this and that he's beginning to self soothe, but I'm totally having my first hes growing too fast, he doesn't need my cuddles to fall asleep anymore moment :-/
I still swaddle. DD is eight weeks and up until two weeks ago she wouldn't sleep anywhere but my arms. We started her on reflux meds and tried swaddling her again (she used to scream nonstop when swaddled) and now she sleeps on her own in the RNP without a problem.

I still swaddle too. DD will not sleep well without it. I have the swaddlemes and I'm noticing she's wiggling her hands out the top and bottom...does that mean it's too small? Should I move up a size or maybe try a different brand?
We still swaddle at 8 weeks too. He still flails his arms too much without it. Night before last DS woke every 1.5 hours. I was too zombie-fied to bump. Then last night he slept 5.5 hours and that left me with rock hard boobs that I had to pump because they were still hard after he nursed. I-)
I still swaddle DS but only half way. He moves so much and likes to kick his legs sometimes but it wakes him up once in a while so it helps with that. If i even think about putting his arms in a swaddle all hell will break lose! Lol boy loves his hands and always sleeps with them up by his face while laying on his side.
We still swaddle at night, but not for naps during the day. DD had slept at least 8 hours at night all week and slept from 8:30pm to 7am yesterday, so I'm not changing our night time routine up until the startle reflex goes away.
Re: Night crew check in!
The ONE night G slept good I had to wake him up at 430 to get ready to go to the hospital. He wouldve sttn! Omg..

LO slept from 9:45-4:15 whoohoo!
He normally feeds almost twice during this time
How do you make up for the feeding they miss when they STTN
I gave him his regular 5 oz but now that he's back asleep and I'm sitting here thinking about it...should I have increased the ounces?
I was so excited and doing my happy dance that I didn't think about it
What do you all do?
