Yes. The recommended amount of detergent is probably already too much (after all companies are trying to sell more detergent) and in some cases they recommend twice that. And some detergents are weaker than others based on idk what. Somebody's feelings?

Late 2011 here. Lameass intro about being scared to get flamed for CD researching before I was KU. LLOL!!
That was back when MK was wanting to start fights on the board and we started having weekly check-ins. And everyone recommended Goodmamas and Old School Cool.
Was it this board or somewhere else that had a "debate" a couple/few years back about whether or not detergent/fabric softener companies were conspiring to make you use fabric softener to soften the fabrics by recommending larger amounts of detergent than what is truly needed since the extra detergent made the fibers stiffer?

Back to the other topic here.....I also can't believe the ones that say that suds after the built in rinse mean nothing as long as the diapers don't feel slimy. The one and only time I ignored the suds my pockets didn't dry even with being hung outside on a sunny 85 degree day and the next morning the ammonia in ds's ON flat was so strong. I immediately grabbed all the diapers I had washed the day before and threw them back into the diaper pail and redid diapers without detergent (used the soap nuts again). I thought about it again as I was watching the lack of suds with my soap nuts on another load, and wondered since no suds are formed in the absence of detergent how could anyone possibly believe that suds can be present without detergent?

Yeah I do not understand why they are so against the idea of detergent build up. There is one girl in my group that always swoops in to argue when I suggest a hot water strip. I have gotten multiple Facebook messages saying how shocked they were by all the bubbles in the washing machine when they tried it lol.
The asylum is just the same thing different name. This is exactly like the compendium minus the cascade. But they're still soaking everything they can get their hands on in the bathtub in rlr. One lady soaked her PAC n play the other day.

I got told to stop arguing with the admins for questioning the instructions to use Tide to line 3 to wash a load of 8-10 diapers.....and so I left it just wasn't worth it......though I was thinking maybe we should flood Tide's manufacturer with a request that they publicize manufacturer recommendations for detergent amounts/instructions for washing cloth diapers since so many use Tide. But then I realized that these crazies would claim Tide doesn't know how to clean sh!t and keep recommending their way anyway.

I was just telling someone to try soaking their overnight diapers and an admin came along and said soaking isn't recommended. Wtf. Unless it's in the bathtub I guess??

Because then it would prevent the uric acid from turning into ammonia which will build up and seal the PUL. Duh. SCIENCE!
I soak all my dipes before washing. That saved me ammonia problem.
And Tide. But just pretend you didn't read this line
A lady posted a picture of all these suds in her machine during her pre rinse and an admin told her sometimes water suds on its own.
I'm trying really hard not to get any work done this morning.

A random aside: @usernewname I like your new name/avatar better. It seems to suit you better. Or maybe it's because your avatar looks like @stringy813. My avatar briefly looked like ITK's but her knife scared me. Stringy won't knife you, she won't even hug you.
Dang it maple, I thought they had actually invaded and you guys needed backup in here.
I'll virtual hug anyone.
Oh shoot. It this going to be a Boy Who Cried Wolf thing where you won't come to the rescue when we need you?
And Boy Meets World was awesome
Did the second series start yet? About their kid? I don't have cable, and I'm sure it wasn't as good - but I will search and find it!
It looks like it debuted in June, but I can't find anywhere to watch it online. Let me know if you find it because I would love to watch an episode.
Where to begin...
I dislike @usernewname's new avatar bc I confuse it with Stringy's.
Boy Meets World freaking rocked, and the new one is on the Disney Channel. I see clips available, but not sure if they offer whole episodes.
I wish they had invaded. I wish they had.
I totally ought to get something for all the promotion I do for Best Bottoms. I'd settle for a freaking tie die cover dang it!

I didn't stick around long enough to see this as well........Has anyone watched the videos on how to tell if you have soup/stew/chili? If I go by that definition of stew, my diapers barely move during fast agitation.

Um, I've NEVER cleaned my washing machine. And its in a rental apartment and has been there for god knows how long. Using it for 5 years, no problems.
Clean a washing machine? I'd think you're joking if I hadn't seen the products advertised for it......seriously though, I have never cleaned a washer, and dh isn't allowed to use the washer without my permission (not really though, it's just that I have my loads organized MY way and he messes me up) so I know he's not doing anything and my kids barely do laundry so I know they aren't doing anything.

There's another thread in bg bst where some fluff love ladies are explaining to this woman using line three of tide how she needs more detergent and don't worry detergent build up is a myth.

Is it NIP? I want one bad, but it needs to be NIP. Or a used Flip in phenom condition.
