And New York cheesecake is better than any other kind. Except maybe my homemade chocolate cheesecake with Oreo crust. Mmm. I can't wait for thanksgiving!
@Mapleme I saw that post! Was wondering if it was someone from here... There's a lady trying to strip her diapers with Calgon bc she has mold, maybe you could help her too. You write so well about mold.
I don't like pie. I will make exception for ice cream pies though. As long as they don't have a crust. And there's lots of good toppings on it. This is also commonly known as an ice cream sundae.
OMG. Now I want an ice cream sundae in a pie crust bowl.
I know, right? These folks are obsessed with RLR strips and bleach soaks. And this lady lived in a soft water area and couldn't figure out why she couldn't find Calgon at her local everything store.
I genuinely curious why people who stripped and bleached now have repelling issues. I'm seeing it more and more pop up.
And @PipSqueak0313 I don't like pumpkin pie. But what's this pumpkin cheesecake you speak of?
It's a cheesecake I can only find at random times and almost all of the successful times are around the holidays....I haven't gotten brave enough to try taking on a recipe to bake my own.

ETA: And I mentioned this board in the message, so I wonder if someone will show up over here.
Evil plot forming in my brain.......silent observer in fl passes on info to Maple and she PMs the necessary poster with correct info......then she can continue to undermine their methods subversively and they won't know who to kick out.

OMG, I am now officially scared to death. I never CDed before but have quite the stash...is this type of staining normal? Will I need to scrub to avoid this? I am scarred.
But just in case... no, this is not at all normal.

I agree with @freezorburn, it's more directed at the Fluffy Lovers since they are out promoting their board on so many sites/fb groups. Lesson for us to follow though as we go inviting people to join IJL.

That's why people keep mentioning them on my swap site. I'm a fool!
Maybe we could just encourage people to not rely on any one source for CD troubleshooting. You know, do their own research? Or would that be too subversive?

I do think it's super annoying to recruit for your cd group in other cd groups like forget this lake cd group we are both currently posting in and instead join this other awesome one!
Mama to a little girl born July 2011 and a little boy born April 2014!
The sad thing is there is no accountability. The excessive use of detergent, stripping and bleaching seems to be ruining diapers, causing rashes and voiding warranties. I can't imagine how frustrating that must be for some people, and then they probably give up CD.

Especially when you have so many people in different areas spouting the same information.....I mean it must be true if you hear similar information from so many sources.
I'm trying to find information about mineral build-up......from sources not related to cloth diapers.....is mineral build-up something that only effects cloth diapers? Seriously, I'm beginning to think it's the CD world's way of covering up detergent build-up. https://www.h2okitswaterblog.com/the-negative-effects-of-hard-water-and-how-to-test-for-water-hardness/ This guy's description of the effect of hard water on laundry sounds suspiciously like detergent build-up. Am I missing something here?

Yes everything is made of chemicals. Drr. Doesn't take a science major to figure that out.
But there are chemicals that will have adverse reactions with combined. These people diapers are essentially being eaten away by all that chemical crap. I mean they are willingly doing it. But those admins won't accept responsibility when the masses learn.
I'm totally preaching to the choir. But it still bugs me.
Also. This talk of pie is not helping healthy eating here. At least all the cookies are out of this house. Cookies are like crack here.
Hmm. Or I could just make PB cookies tomorrow. If I add brewers yeast I'm just helping my supply. Baby needs supply. Mama needs cookies.
If this strip people are doing is making their diapers leak, why does washing then make them stop leaking? What's the rational for that? Also I like my apple pie with strudel topping. I also like pecan pie.

She's soaking in calgon. Correct me if I'm wrong but WTF will that do? And everyone is telling her to keep stripping.
Ugh. I don't know much but really.
Some things are also just not worth it she's probably spent more in RLR bleach etc and time than the diaper is worth.
And New York cheesecake is better than any other kind. Except maybe my homemade chocolate cheesecake with Oreo crust. Mmm. I can't wait for thanksgiving!
And how it keeps getting back on topic despite the best efforts to get it off topic. FTR, I love pumpkin cheesecake.

Because I remember learning in both home ec and chemistry 101, bleach and ammonia should not be mixed. It's dangerous.
She's really great when she's not getting in the way of me nursing my newborn.
