I don't think so, do you have an electric hand mixer? I have had to whip by hand before it's not too bad, just think of the result at the end of the whipping. Oh and get your spoon ready

Shutterfly is pissing me right the fuck off. I'm trying to make a photo book and when I upload the pictures I want to use, it tells me they were unable to upload and to check my internet connection. Thanks for the suggestion, but my internet connection is fine! I'm able to do everything else on the internet.

Oh I haven't done it by hand in years! But my hand mixer is in storage and my mom has only a food processor.

I looked at a box of Fruit Roll Ups while grocery shopping yesterday because I haven't had them in forever, plus they're fucking delicious. The price was like $4.99. I couldn't bring myself to buy them.

When I was growing up, my mom would only buy the "natural fruit leather" and pretend that it was a fruit roll-up when really all I wanted was the kind that had pizza and toppings cutouts that you could play with before snacking on! My birthing class told us to bring Popsicles and sour candies to the hospital, too, to help with our dry mouths from all of the deep breathing during contractions.

Random question-I want to bring a soft, cozy blanket/throw from home to snuggle with after baby is born but I don't want it to get gross fluids on it. Is this a normal thing to bring? I have no idea what kind of blankets are usually at the hospital but I'm guessing that I'll be happy to have something soft and comfy from home.

Someone told me to bring a nice blanket (probably because she also gave birth at this hospital, so she was probably on a bench in the waiting room pushing without a blanket, and she is trying to warn me about Jailspitol). We always have one in the car anyway (a fleece one), so it will be there, but I wondered the same as you...

I should ask someone about that. I'm taking clothes for her, but I'm wondering...For all I know, they will not even provide a blanket. This poor thing will be laying there, shivering in the corner of a cardboard box like a stray kitten (because NO SKIN-TO-SKIN FOR C-SECTION BABIES should I have one).

Thank you for sharing. That makes me feel so much better that you actually lived in the same house as your brother and no one else got them. Yesterday I was a hot mess, and then I kept waking up all night thinking about it.

When my little sister was 4 or 5, she got head lice from daycare, and no one else in our house did, thank god, but I remember my mom bagging up all her toys and crap and what a nightmare it was.

Fuck ALL bugs.

I have gotten so much done today! I'm proud of myself.

My back hurts and my doctor told me yesterday to do stretches throughout the day to help with the pain. I don't really know what kind of stretches I was doing, but it feels like my belly button just tore in half. It didn't, but it hurts.

That would piss me off... I have a co-worker who likes to jump in front of my office door to scare me ( He already annoys me to the extreme) and I have to tell him often you can't do that to a pregnant woman!!

I have tried to update my siggy about 20 times over the last 6 months. My LO's tickers aren't updating and I tried to just take them out and add a picture. When I go to try to edit my siggy today, it shows what I've updated it to, all the codes anyway. But it still shows my old unupdated tickers anytime I post. It's just annoying. Sigh.

I would make your DH say it's really not a good time and tell them to come later. I wouldn't even let my DH throw the "housewarming" party his friends wanted, which really was just an excuse to have a huge 60 drunk person party that they didn't have to clean up after. Just come home with them. In my experience, it's best to just ask forgiveness than permission.

My husband thought it was not a great idea to adopt two cats at once. We adopted two cats at once. Then, he thought, you know, three cats is a great number. We should not adopt another cat. We adopted Lola.
