Can you whip cream in a food processor? My arms are not up to using a whisk for that long...
I don't think so, do you have an electric hand mixer? I have had to whip by hand before it's not too bad, just think of the result at the end of the whipping. Oh and get your spoon ready
I do but it's in storage and my mom only has a food processor. Hm. I wish I had a standing mixer.

Shutterfly is pissing me right the fuck off. I'm trying to make a photo book and when I upload the pictures I want to use, it tells me they were unable to upload and to check my internet connection. Thanks for the suggestion, but my internet connection is fine! I'm able to do everything else on the internet.
I will NOT be clicking on that To Do List check-in thread. It will only make me hyperventillate.
Same. Still only at the fruit roll-up stage of hospital bag packing. I'm cool with it.
I looked at a box of Fruit Roll Ups while grocery shopping yesterday because I haven't had them in forever, plus they're fucking delicious. The price was like $4.99. I couldn't bring myself to buy them.
When I was growing up, my mom would only buy the "natural fruit leather" and pretend that it was a fruit roll-up when really all I wanted was the kind that had pizza and toppings cutouts that you could play with before snacking on! My birthing class told us to bring Popsicles and sour candies to the hospital, too, to help with our dry mouths from all of the deep breathing during contractions.
Random question-I want to bring a soft, cozy blanket/throw from home to snuggle with after baby is born but I don't want it to get gross fluids on it. Is this a normal thing to bring? I have no idea what kind of blankets are usually at the hospital but I'm guessing that I'll be happy to have something soft and comfy from home.
Someone told me to bring a nice blanket (probably because she also gave birth at this hospital, so she was probably on a bench in the waiting room pushing without a blanket, and she is trying to warn me about Jailspitol). We always have one in the car anyway (a fleece one), so it will be there, but I wondered the same as you...
Last night was our second day for the birth class, DH and I cannot get our shit together.
On the first day DH forgot the blanket and pillows. This time we forgot the book. You can tell the teacher is slightly annoyed/amused that we can't get our shit together. And we were late both days. I kept on thinking ppl were judging us like..."we know what kind of parents they will be" Whatevs.
We will rock this parenting shit
We're supposed to bring a pillow next week and I'm worried I'll forget! It's the "mock labor" class... What will this pillow be used for? And this is in a hospital. Don't they have an abundance of pillows for us to use?! I kinda don't want bring one from home and get it all hospital-y.
This is of no surprise to anyone, but my birth class lady said pillows are a hot commodity, and to bring our own when we go to have the baby.
We were told they do not provide clothes for LO so we need to bring onesies and pijamas...
I should ask someone about that. I'm taking clothes for her, but I'm wondering...For all I know, they will not even provide a blanket. This poor thing will be laying there, shivering in the corner of a cardboard box like a stray kitten (because NO SKIN-TO-SKIN FOR C-SECTION BABIES should I have one).
No way I'm catching up on 9 pages, so just pretend that I gave love tits to those who were funny, hugs to those who needed them, and bitch slaps to those who earned them.
I think I might marry our pharmacist. He completely eased my fear and paranoia about this situation. He told me I probably had better chances of winning the lotto than contacting scabies after our brief 10-15 min exposure. He was even surprised our pedi prescribed the cream, because of our limited contact and said it's usually spread through direct contact (such as sleeping in bed with someone or prolonged contact (like if my dad lived with us).
I'm still spending the day washing linens and scrubbing the shit out of my house compulsively, but I feel a lot better.
My youngest brother got scabies when he was 6ish. No one else in our house got them. But I still remember that poor baby buck nekkid getting the cream put on him by our mom. I was 14 and thoroughly grossed out but I think my mom felt more like you (and she was so ashamed that her baby had something so nasty)
We are clean people and that particular brother bathes(we are talking actual baths at least once a day).
Also, fx for good news at your appointment!
Thank you for sharing. That makes me feel so much better that you actually lived in the same house as your brother and no one else got them. Yesterday I was a hot mess, and then I kept waking up all night thinking about it.
When my little sister was 4 or 5, she got head lice from daycare, and no one else in our house did, thank god, but I remember my mom bagging up all her toys and crap and what a nightmare it was.

So you can use the processor just be careful because you could end up with butter
Hm. Good to know. Thanks. At this point, I'm wondering if I should just buy Cool Whip...

Haha good point. Although that could be a really delicious accident...
I have gotten so much done today! I'm proud of myself.
My back hurts and my doctor told me yesterday to do stretches throughout the day to help with the pain. I don't really know what kind of stretches I was doing, but it feels like my belly button just tore in half. It didn't, but it hurts.
One of the attorneys I work with slammed his hand on my desk to scare me and it did and I peed a little... (
That would piss me off... I have a co-worker who likes to jump in front of my office door to scare me ( He already annoys me to the extreme) and I have to tell him often you can't do that to a pregnant woman!!

Luckily I was wearing a panty liner! I can't let any of my co-workers know that happened because the next month would be a competition to see who could make the pregnant girl pee herself. :-q
I have tried to update my siggy about 20 times over the last 6 months. My LO's tickers aren't updating and I tried to just take them out and add a picture. When I go to try to edit my siggy today, it shows what I've updated it to, all the codes anyway. But it still shows my old unupdated tickers anytime I post. It's just annoying. Sigh.

@kaylajade8911 I have no clue who the guy in your siggy challenge picture is but every time I see it, I'm like... why is this dude so angry?! He isn't even pregnant. :P

He is Chester Bennington, lead singer from Linkin Park my obsession from when I was about 14. I think the anger is meant to be moodily sexy. He doesn't do it very well
My husband's best friend has decided they want to come stay at our house for a few days... 2 weeks from now. I told them to wait until November or even around Christmas. But nope they want to come now. And have a party before the baby comes. Are you effing kidding me?
Well, that sounds like they will be disappointed when you tell them no.

is it weird that I read this and thought, "oh, Chester Bennington would be a great name for a cat."?

Is it wrong that I thought it was Eminem?

Eminem is totally my embarrassing teenage crush. I was like 16 and thought he was soooo hot. I was obsessed and played his Eminem Show CD all the time. I thought I was so cool.

Along with the "pell-oh" talk from yesterday, a woman in my office is named Kim. Anytime she calls anyone (always on speaker) she say, "Hey it's KEEM." I don't know why but this pronunciation makes me laugh.

Email them a list of local hotels. They'll understand.
GUISE!!!! There is a judge who rescued some kittens and their mom after a major storm here a few months ago. The kittens now need a new home. An email went out today with their pictures asking if anyone in my office wanted one. They have all their shots, are spayed and are litter box trained. AND THEY ARE FREE!!! I am trying to convince DH that we need one of them and he is being such a grouch about it. He says a kitten will be too much work, it will scratch the furniture and the dogs will hate it. I want one (

So I was lurking on M15 earlier (yes, boredom), and for a second I thought @Nicb13 had love titted stuff over there, and I was a bit confused... Then I realized that another user has the same avatar.
So then I started thinking...if someone created an account and gradually started posting on a bunch of different BMBs (not like Sept and Oct, but like Oct, Dec, March, etc), but was completely sane and normal on each BMB, active enough to be recognized but not overly active, and had her story straight regarding each "pregnancy".... how long do you think it would be before someone looked at the post history and figured it out?
LOL! I dunno why but I found this potential conspiracy funny! That person would lack a job/children/hobbies to pull that off.
Anyone else just not caring about work? I mean I feel bad but with such little time left, and honestly not very much work to be done I just don't really care. Oh well! Will try to be some what productive for the rest of the afternoon.

I would make your DH say it's really not a good time and tell them to come later. I wouldn't even let my DH throw the "housewarming" party his friends wanted, which really was just an excuse to have a huge 60 drunk person party that they didn't have to clean up after. I'm too pregnant, too crabby, and no. Just no.

Just come home with them. In my experience, it's best to just ask forgiveness than permission.
My husband thought it was not a great idea to adopt two cats at once. We adopted two cats at once. Then, he thought, you know, three cats is a great number. We should not adopt another cat. We adopted Lola.
Re: Wednesday Randoms
Definitely yes. I always use my mixer how in the hell do you manage that by hand?! I'm impressed
I say to go for it! You just need that whipping motion and a food processor should do that no problem
