@marissa6609 I haven't had an ET yet but my paperwork says I will get valium. I haven't ever taken it before but I've also heard it is to relax you a little. Hopefully it doesn't relax too much that it makes it hard to hold a full bladder

Hi all! Congrats to to all the PUPOs!!! Yay! I'm sorry I'm posting so late---work and other evening meetings took over my time so I'm just now catching up on everyone's check in! Been looking forward all day to read the updates!
As for me, I have been taking progesterone pills and suppositories (no shots for my Dr). I apologize as I'm a little loopy---the nurse told me one of the side effects of the progesterone pill is that people tend to feel drunk. Seriously. So I'm a little loopy right now as I type this---took my night pill a little bit ago. . Does anyone else take the pills rather than the shots?
I was waiting for the call today to see of we are moving forward with my ET on Thursday---we had 3 embies on Day 1 and so far on day 4, all have grown!!! So I was told today that the transfer is definitely on!! After my freak out on Saturday, this is fantastic news! Here's hoping they continue to grow for Thursday!
I go in tomorrow for a pre-ET acupuncture session. It's like non-drug Valium, I swear. So hopefully that will help relax me.
I hope to have some good news to report on Thursday!!!
Ok, I'm off to bed. Btw, is anyone getting crazy tired?!? I about passed out at 9:30 last night. I NEVER go to bed before 11:30p or so.
Goodnight, sweet peas!
Oh! QOTD: I have always wanted to go to the Amunpura resort somewhere in the pacific...that would be ideal.
Sounds like everyone is moving along great in our group! Good luck to those of you with upcoming retrievals and transfers.
@marissa6609 my doc had me take a Valium prior to my transfer and I was not a fan. It gave me an awful headache and slightly naseous which was no fun on the four hour drive back. I would have rather done without it. @Jzyla - good luck today on your transfer!
@ all my 2ww ladies- how are you all not going crazy??!! I'm 2dp5dt and I'm going nuts. This morning I popped up out of bed at 3:45 wide awake. I had nothing else to do so I put together some short ribs in my slow cooker. I think there is seriously something wrong with me. On the bright side there is no telling what sort of projects I'll complete in an effort to keep myself busy and away from those evil preg tests in my bathroom cabinet. 9 more days until beta!!
Qod: I would love to go on a cruise of the French Polynesia or to Southeast Asia.
Best of luck to everyone!

@viola27 I don't tell anyone anything except two super close friends. I stopped telling my MIL during the whole testing phase because she started calling every day to ask how I am doing. We finally told her that we were going to stop all of the baby stuff until after we buy a house in the spring.
I stopped telling other friends after my first cycle got cancelled. It just hurt too much to say the bad parts out loud.
I am 37 and DH is 40

06/2014 IVF cycle #1 is scheduled cancelled due to low estrogen
07/2014 Started Estrace to help with my estrogen issues
Best of luck to those stimming and wit ER/ET. Congrats to all my fellow PUPO.
@crazygirl7882 I am totally losing it! Cant focus on anything, I have been busy with my payroll budget for next year all week!! I'm over this waiting.
My Beta will be on Monday @ 9dp5dt and i will only have the results on Tuesday.
I actually feel like I made a huge error in judgement, I find it difficult to withhold the truth when someone asks me "where were you yesterday", so i've told a few female colleagues. Not alot of friends and family though. Now I'm super frightened that if we have bad news next week, everyone is going to be in my face and I wont be able to handle it. My BFF works here as well, and she said i should take a day off, if it comes to that, and she will explain to the ladies and ask them to not mention anything to me.
Next time (hopefully not), i will put in Vac Leave for 2 weeks and do the IVF, so I dont have to explain anything.
@viola27 I'm starting to worry myself about people asking. I told my best friend Sunday I'd let her know don't ask. The family that knows I'm just going to text them tomorrow if everything goes ok and tell them the blood work is about 2-3 weeks later (they won't know the difference) and I'm going to ask for no phone calls let me deal with the news first.
@VAinNYC I've taken the pills before. They knocked me out. Luckily I only had to take them at night but I had a friend have to take them all day and still try to work.
I'm with @ChristieH917. I told more people during my first cycle bc I was so excited about it, but when it got cancelled, it was exhausting having to rehash that and try to explain why over and over again. I shared less and less as the process went on. Now I only talk to my sister and 2 very close friends about things. A few other friends know I'm doing IVF, but they don't know any of the details, so they don't ask questions. We haven't told our parents anything. They might have their own suspicions, but they don't ask.
@crazygirl7882 I'm 6dp6dt. Beta is Saturday, but I will POAS before to mentally prepare. Thinking back to how devastating last time was makes me very, very nervous. Waiting is emotional torture. Hang in there. We all get through it somehow!
**warning**
Me (31), DH (33), one furbaby (7) - unexplained IF
hysteroscopy and polypectomy 2/14
IVF #1 3/2014 - cancelled (early ovulation)
IVF #1.2 ER 5/16/14: 23R 18F - freeze all (12) due to concern for late onset OHSS
FET #1 in June - delayed due to thin lining, 7/18 SET (7.5 mm lining) resulted in chemical pregnancy
FET #2 in Sept - 9/4 transferred 2 CCS tested embryos (6.5mm lining)
9/13 beta #1 - 400, 9/15 beta #2 - 950, U/S 9/22 one gestational/yolk sac - next up 9/29
I am doing FET #2 with the transfer scheduled for Sept 23rd. I'm on Estrace for now and will be adding progesterone next Wednesday. I actually prefer IM progesterone and will be on a combo of the Endometrin and the IM.
I just get so tired of all the waiting.
I would go to Singapore first though the list of places I would love to go is long.
@viola27 it's so hard to keep boundaries.. I've really only told a few people (my MIL included) and it's like they listen but don't understand.. 2 weeks after I started BCP everyone was asking if IVF worked.. So annoying. My MIL asks daily for updates on "babies"... She somehow twisted me saying, "one embryo=50% chance of successful implantation as per our RE" into, we have "a 50% chance of miscarriage" ..... I'm done sharing.
I got a good one as far as sharing and people not understanding. My Aunt (who's like my mom) called me to ask if any word on transfer. At the time I still wasn't close. She says OMG you are going to be 6 months preg by the time they finally put them in to warm up. She serious thought they have been growing since June and are just hanging out. She's also doesn't like the fact that they are frozen she thinks it's to cold for them. She keeps telling me they need to hurry up and warm those babies up. It's kinda cute but again annoying I'm tired of explaining. Now she did tell me to tell them when they get here she will buy them a pony. :-)
I got the official phone call, the long awaiting FET is scheduled for tomorrow at 12:15. My lining is now 15, my progesterone in 6,819 (or 68). I'm not sure if it's going to get much better than that.
I stopped offering info but I give it when people ask. I feel like I'm educating everyone on the topic of IF. So many people have no clue what goes into it.
One "beautiful" day 5 blast transferred a couple of hours ago. RE said the transfer also went "beautifully" (apparently she likes that description). Now I'm stuck in a hotel for 24 hours while hubby drives home early for work. Yay for the physically hard part being over! Blood test on Sept 19!

IUI#2 w/clomid & HCG on July 23rd. BFN.
IUI #3 in August cancelled last minute, due to lab error.
IVF#1- Started Gonal F stims October 13 2013 for IUI. Over-responded with too many follicles, so converted to IVF. Retrieval October 29th - got 5 eggs, 4 fertilized. Had 2 perfect little embryos transferred on day 3 (Nov. 1). The remaining 2 didn't survive to freeze. Got our BFN on November 13th 2013.
IVF#2 - Started stims August 21st. Triggered with Suprefact, started on dostinex due to risk of OHSS. Retrieval September 5th - got 27 eggs! 21 embryos on day 3. Embryos deteriorated quickly. ESet 5day blast on Sept 10. No embryos high enough quality to freeze. BFN came Sept. 22.
Reserved a semi-known proven donor in August .
Waiting for consult/screening and protocols with estimated fresh cycle timing in October
@Jzyla congrats to you, too! My beta is Saturday, 9/20. I'm annoyed that it is one day later, they used to do them 14 days after retrieval, now they do them 15!
Good luck @Pintobean39! And congrats on being PUPO @CMH25 , you give me so much hope. As for me, I had my ER this morning. The procedure wasn't that bad, but the recovery has been harder than I thought. I felt exhausted and had to rest in the recovery room for 1.5 hours (blood pressure was low and I was dizzy on standing) during which I ate 1/4 of a bagel that my spouse went and bought me, plus a juice box. I was determined to go home after that. Unfortunately, I was being too ambitious, and I could barely make it 10 feet without a rest break. However, I was being stubborn and didn't want to go backtrack to the recovery room just to keep sitting there. I made it all the way outside and then lay down on the sidewalk (yep) while my spouse went to get the car. The clinic is in a fancy office/condo tower and the security guard came over to me immediately, wanting to get me out of there. I promptly threw up, barely missing his shoes(not my classiest moment). My spouse and the nurse arrived at about the same time, and thankfully they let me go home. I was in a fair amount of pain and a little cranky with my spouse about finding less "bumpy" streets to drive on. Eventually we got home and I slept for several hours. Then I had some chicken noodle soup, which I seem to be tolerating ok. So, some advice for those doing ER for the first time: bring Tylenol and light snacks with you in case you end up stuck at your clinic for a long time. Entertainment such as an iPod is probably a good idea too. Have some light food and a heating pad ready for when you get home, and don't plan on getting up to anything. So, the big news is I got 8 eggs(!). A really great improvement from where I stood on day 7 of stims with only 2 in the mature territory. Probably not all of them will be good, because we let at least 2 get overmature hoping that some little ones would catch up. I'm trying not to obsess until my fert report tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed and trying to stay optimistic.
Official diagnosis: Unexplained IF.
I am 32. I have low ovarian reserve (low AMH), and poor egg quality. I've also been diagnosed with mild glandular developmental arrest (lining problems, detected with EFT).

IVF September 2014 antagonist protocol, 8R,5M,3F, 5 day transfer of 1 morula = BFN. IVF#2 planned for January 2015 (antagonist protocol + HGH).
I have an update...my ET was scheduled for tomorrow. But I got about 4 calls today from the Dr office. I was in back-to-back meetings, phone was on silent, so I missed them (yesterday I was on "phone watch" waiting for their call to confirm Thursday's ET...). So I happened to hear the phone vibrating and answered it---apparently, 5th call.
They said my 3 little embies are "slow growing"---it's Day 5, btw, and I was scheduled for ET on day 6 with a PGD. They said they now can't do the PGD and they recommend I come in RIGHT NOW for the ET. Or, I can wait and see what happens tomorrow but will likely not have any embies left. So I rearranged my schedule and hopped on over! 3 little embies transferred!
@emmuffy sounds like a rough morning, I hope you getting to feeling better. I did smile a little about the bumps, I can't tell you how many times that I've been sick in the car and it seems like they hit every bump they can find. FX for good fertility report!
@emmuffy that will teach the security guard to bother a lady laying on a sidewalk!! Lol. Glad you made it home. Hope you start feeling better. Fx for good fert report tomorrow!

I am going to be an AW, I just got our fert report.... 26 eggs... which is why I feel like hell.. 21 were mature, but only 9 fertilized normally I guess we had even more of a MFI than we thought. The nurse even said we knew we were dealing with a pretty significant factor.. I honestly thought we were just not ideal for IUI, and in an awesome situation for IVF. We're hoping that these are all perfect little embies though.
Side note: Did intense bloating post-ER leave anyone's ribs hurting? It almost feels like I need to go to the chiro and have them popped back into place (a normal thing for me) but it is making me short of breath. Buying a cheap walmart scale to keep an eye on weight!
@meld42 9 embryos is still a good number to end up with! Fx they develop beautifully

I'm sorry @meld42 but 9 is still a good number. I was very uncomfortable after ER, but not the feeling you are describing. It wouldn't hurt to call your nurse and ask, and defiantly get a scale.
Thanks @emmuffy and @pintobean ! I suppose I was misunderstanding what a good number was, and I'm worried that some will stop developing etc. I don't know what the likeliehood of that is, to be honest.
I did call my nurse this afternoon, she just said to keep an eye on it for now. Can't help but be worried of OHSS!
Hi Sweet Peas! Sorry posting a bit late this time. Congrats to all the PUPO ladies and those having ET this week!! Big ((hugs)) and good luck to those who have ER! Wishing you all a quick and easy recovery! As for me, still on stims...have blood work and u/s on Monday. I'm literally doing every superstitious thing I can think of to thicken my lining for this FET...drinking pomegranete juice...started taking extra folic acid, laying upside down with my legs on the wall, red raspberry leaf tea, etc. Anything I'm missing?? hahaha I feel like a complete nutso, but after all this, I don't want my lining to be what's keeping me from my FET :-)

@MSU_girl1202 I did a couple wheatgrass shots when I was trying to thicken up lining for my IUI. I was also on drugs from the doctor though, so I don't know how much can be attributed to the wheat grass!
@meld42: Hmm, interesting. Haven't tried that one! I'm on a pretty good dose of estrace (judging by how I burst into tears whenever I see puppies or someone looks at me the wrong way), but I'm trying every 'superstition' I can find to thicken my lining since they're planning to do ET 4 days earlier than they usually do b/c of scheduling issues and I'm just hoping my lining will be ready by then. Will definitely go look for some wheat grass this weekend!!

I'll probably wait a week, if I can handle it. Easy to say right now, when my nerves are calm. I remember hCG wearing off fairly early last time, but this time I triggered with suprefact and they gave me an extra dose of hCG right after the retrieval, so I assume I'm scared of a false positive. It seems odd (and cruel) to make you wait til day 15? I guess it's on the safe side, in the end. My clinic stopped putting in their instructions to not to POAS - I think they know everyone does it anyways!

I got the official phone call, the long awaiting FET is scheduled for tomorrow at 12:15. My lining is now 15, my progesterone in 6,819 (or 68). I'm not sure if it's going to get much better than that.

So happy to read all of the updates! Lots going on.
I had my ET this morning. One beautiful blast transferred. Having any to freeze is highly unlikely, but I'll know for sure next week.

@Pintobean39 alright for a pony!! Lol
One of my very dear and close gf's gave me a fertility charm today. It was really thoughtful. It's making me feel more optimistic about this cycle.
Sounds like the er and et are going well today!! Keeping my fx for all you lovely ladies.

When do you plan to POAS???
Official diagnosis: Unexplained IF. I am 32. I have low ovarian reserve (low AMH), and poor egg quality. I've also been diagnosed with mild glandular developmental arrest (lining problems, detected with EFT).
We are using open ID donor sperm. IUIs #1-7=BFN.
Wish me luck!
@emmuffy sounds like a rough morning, I hope you getting to feeling better. I did smile a little about the bumps, I can't tell you how many times that I've been sick in the car and it seems like they hit every bump they can find. FX for good fertility report!
