  • It's 45 degrees in my house and I really need to pee, but I don't want to get out from under my blanket.  I also don't want to mess with getting the furnace going b/c it's only supposed to be cold today and tomorrow, then right back into the 70s.

  • Ok - Finally caught up on the thread now! I have been at work since 6:30AM - I am SO tired today!

@Lightbright515 - I want spaghetti now!   Not just any spaghetti but left over spaghetti - It always tastes better the next day and the sauce always seems to stick just right :)

I have had two amazing pastries from Panera already and that made the morning a little better!

On the shower topic - I admit sometimes I don't shower all weekend... that's terrible, but I am just too tired and lazy.  Otherwise I shower daily.  I refuse to wash my hair every day, that is too much damn work right now, and I like to think I am saving myself money by not shampooing every single day.

I fully intend to leave work early today, head home and make a giant pot of chili tonight, and DH and I are going to veg out and catch up on our DVR since it is a nastey rainy day today.  I can't wait for the end of the day.

  • Just watched 12 Years a Slave and am so down. (Movies like these make me hate white people-and I'm as white as you can get! Lol ) Seriously, I know there were some good ones back then that we're opposed to slavery and who even stuck their necks out housing run aways on the Underground Railroad, etc. But it's still so damned depressing. I know we need to be reminded of all the atrocities tha were committed in the world, especially in relatively recent history, to try to make sure these things never happen again. Just hormonal and sad...gotta go find a comedy to watch

You should watch 42. The Jackie Robinson story. Amazing movie and makes you also hate white people from that era.

  • I'm lying in bed snuggling my kitties, trying to motivate myself to get up and go get that pumpkin spice latte I never got yesterday, also I want a pumpkin cream cheese muffin! I haven't had one yet this year, last time i went looking for one (a few days ago) they were sold out. :-/
  • I realized this week that I have no idea how long my doctor is willing to let me wait it out for my VBAC before scheduling a C-section.  He hasn't brought it up, and I don't want to either.  I don't want to be put on a timeline.  I know he'll let me go 'til 40 weeks, but after?  IDK.

So, HYPOTHETICALLY, if you got to work, and like an hour after you got there, you realized your thong was on inside out, you'd just go with it for the rest of the day, right?

    Asking for a friend.
I just have to say... if your "friend" is pregnant and still wearing thongs she is rocking this pregnancy gig.   I have hit the point were I refuse to wear underwear at all.
Yep.  I am commando unless heading to an appt.

  • Get your shit together Michigan. Let's just have a normal rainy day for once. I am over the threat of flooding, high wind, and no power for days every time a system comes through the area. We already lost our basement once this season, so I'm pretty bitter.

Also, I really need to pack my hospital bag. Maybe today will be the day I do that.

  • This vacuum/forceps/c-section conversation is so relevant to me right now. DH & I had our second childbirth class last night and these were topics discussed. The instructor said the hospital doesn't really use forceps anymore, that the vacuum is far more common. And that it's used more often for women who've had the epidural because they have a harder time pushing. This kind of scared me because I do plan on getting an epidural, but I really don't want a vacuum assist! Is it that difficult to properly push with an epi? :-S

Also, I don't think I would ever opt for a c-section. It's not that I'm "anti-caesarean" or anything, I would gladly do whatever is needed for baby to get out as safely as can be. It's just the fact that it's a major surgery and the recovery is daunting... Also my hospital doesn't do immediate skin-to-skin for c-sect moms and babies. That made me a little sad too.
  • I'm really depressed and feel like I'll never feel clean in my own house again.

Oh man LB I would feel the same way. ((Creepy internet hugs to you)) @FamousEa‌ cutest sonogram pictures!

  • Apparently I feel like yelling at things today.

Lmao this really made me laugh.
  • @theresat858‌ Good info! I should ask my doctor about the "walking" epi. I found out yesterday that my hospital does the patient-controlled push-button epidural thing too, something I didn't even know existed before last night. Hopefully I can tough out the pain enough to keep my dose relatively low.
