Re: Night crew check in!

  • Poor baby is still waking every 2-2.5 hours at night, often pissed off because of gas. I'm so tired everything hurts.

  • @squnkie‌ hiccups have ruined many nap times at my house as well. Hope you can get some sleep and your LO can get some relief from the hiccups soon.
  • G has hardly slept the past two days because his reflux keeps waking him up and is cranky and over tired. The morning's dr appt can't come fast enough, hopefully we'll figure this out so he's finally comfortable and we can both finally sleep.

We've been using the A & A blanketd all the time to swaddle (day and night) but last night and tonight I used the swaddle me at night and he had fallen right back to sleep. Didn't even need rocking. But he only nursed on one boob after that 4 hour stint so here I am pumping the other side. Oh well. Let's hope for another few hours. DS had been known to wake at 5, bright eyed and bushy tailed but this momma needs more than 4 hours sleep to function.
  • Also have to share a picture of our little Colts fan! :-bd (yes they lost but it's okay we're still fans). He was pumped up until the game started and then he was out.
  • LO's growth spurt seems to be over (happy dance!). She made it back to her usual sleeping until 3:30. But I am doing another happy dance because when she woke up at 3:30, I went in and fixed her swaddle, shushed & jiggled/rocked her, and gave her a paci...AND SHE WENT BACK TO SLEEP! This gives me hope that she'll be sleeping through the night soon. Fingers crossed!

  • DS was down at 9. The night before he slept till 5 and I was really hopeful he would sleep well again, till at least 2 or 3, that's been his usual schedule. Nope! He was up at midnight, 3, 5, and again at 7. I'm pretty sure he's up for the day now. Oh happy Monday.

Shots suck! DD was pissed after she got hers, infant Tylenol helped. Hoping you have a peaceful night.

  • Still haven't been to sleep. LO is playing games tonight. Fast asleep when I lay her down and wide awake 15 min later. As soon as I think we've got a good pattern going, she throws me for a loop with a night like this. Ugh.

This is exactly my situation. So frustrating.

  • LO did great sleeping like 7 hours straight over the weekend for DH. Tonight he has been up every 2 hours! I just want to go to bed
  • I don't get what is up with DD the last few nights. She will not sleep! I feed her whenever she wants, and she will rest on me, I just can't get her to sleep for very long intervals at all before she is up again. Even the pacifier isn't putting her to sleep like it normally does. I know she's tired, though, from the yawning and how cranky she is. I'm hoping this is a short phase. I thought sleep regression doesn't hit until 3 or 4 months and she's only 10 1/2 weeks, so i don't know what to blame this on.

  • She did great! gave me until 2am, then fell asleep right away. She took it like a champ. Heading back to bed.

  • DS normally has two 3-4 hour stretches plus a smaller 2 hour stretch for sleeping. Well not tonight. He slept 1.5, 3, and then 2. I'm hoping for a couple more hours but his squirming while he sleeps doesn't lend for a restful sleep for me. He'll be 7 weeks tomorrow. Growing maybe? Sleep changes? Gas? I just don't know.
  • @TexasGirl81‌ Breastfeeding. If she was wanting to nurse for the time she's awakenI would chalk it up to a growth spurt, but that isn't what she's wanting.

  • This 8 week wonder week is really kicking my butt! DS has been going down at 9 and then waking up at 12 and then every two hours after that. What I wouldn't give for his usual 9-3. I'm already looking forward to getting a nap in today.

This was DD last week at 7 weeks. It was a growth spurt that lasted 4 days. But now she is sleeping better than she ever has. So, although it was horrible-it was totally worth it.

    Hang in there!!!

We're having this problem too! She goes down for the first part of the night in her bassinet, then after her MOTN feeding there's no chance!

  • DD slept 9 1/2 hours last night!! I hope this becomes routine. I actually woke her up because I was worried about her sleeping so long in a dirty diaper and going so long without eating. How long would you guys let your LO slept before waking them?

I was always told by my pedi to let her sleep as long as she wants at night. The longest I've gotten was 7 hours so far. If your LO is starting to sleep long hours maybe try some overnight diapers. I guess it depends on age. 9 1/2 hours is a blessing!!

Ok whatever I thought was the 6 week growth spurt before, I was wrong. This is it. LO ate every 2-3 hours last night (normally she goes for 5-6 then 3-4) and every 2 all day. She's also extra tired, but won't sleep, is super fussy, and had two melt downs. Fussiness gets better after the 6 week growth spurt right? This is supposed to be the peak?

It was the peak in my DD's case. Hang in there!

Beyond growth spurts there are developmental leaps "wonder weeks" that can have LO super fussy too. I think we are working on a wonder week here.

Seriously, everything made sense after reading these

I agree with this. After i found out about wonder weeks and read up on it everything made sense and its a little easier to deal with knowing it's that instead of trying to figure out whats wrong (like before i had any idea of such a thing lol)

I'm dealing with this as I write this! Maybe they are in wonder weeks?
