I dreamfed lo at 10:30 and we are up at 1. I read how a lot of ladies get 4 or more hour stretches of sleep at night and I'm so jealous and I just want to cry because I want at least one stretch of 4 hours. Blah ok vent over.
DD slept from 9:30 - 3:30! Except now it's 5 and she's still up because she refuses to go back to sleep. She's fed, changed her diaper, swaddles, and she's still fussing. WTF baby???
So after a 9-2 stretch, DS 2went right back to 2 hr stretches. And DS 1 who will be 3 in October has gotten up 3 times tonight... What is really going on Gee's
I really need to start changing DD's diaper when she first wakes up in the MOTN. I used to use the diaper change to get her to eat more because she would fall askeei before she had a full feeding so in the middle. But now that she's getting more efficient she will fall asleep eating, then I do the diaper change, then she will just stare at me and not eat because I woke her up and she's full. Like right now. Ugh.
(Yes, it's like 8:30am but I couldn't get her to sleep until 3am so it's like my MOTN because I'm not getting up, yet.)
Operation Spitup is in full swing. New sheets (she was nursing in our bed), new outfit, quick wipe down (yep, in her armpit), and now pumping my engorged left side. Poor girl
I went to bed at 11.For the first time dh took lo out to the living room and woke up at his midnight and 2 am feed so I could sleep! Holy wow 6 hours of sleep feels so good! MaKing him a thing breakfast tomorrow for sure!
Thought I was so crafty....got DD's diaper changed when she woke up, fed her, swaddled her, and was rocking her...it looked like she was falling back asleep and then her eyes open wide and she started letting loose in her diaper. So, I have to unswaddle her, undo her sleeper, and am carefully opening her diaper to find...nothing - all that was just gas. And then while her diaper is open, she proceeds to pee and it got on her sleeper and swaddle blanket. Lets just say she was definitely not falling asleep anymore. Touche little one.
Sleep deprivation has me unsure if I have been up all night feeding, asleep or in some other alternate state. I cannot account for the past few hours. Currently feeding LO in the living room on the couch. From the looks of the dent in the recliner I have been here all night.
Got a five hr stretch! Too bad I didn't go to sleep until 1130...
I would not mind MOTN feedings so much if this child would just. Fucking. Burp.
She was asleep, but is now fighting gas...grrrr.
This is mine, too. Eff you, immature digestive system.
I can't wait to get out of this need-to-be-swaddled stage. Come 3 a.m. he doesn't want to be swaddled anymore but can't stop from flailing about and keeping himself awake without it.

I'm sure you've tried everything. But for stubborn burps I do the thing where I have her lay on my lap on her back then pull her up to my chest and then lay her back down. (Like baby sit-ups) that always seems to force the burps out.
I do something very similar, and i can HEAR the bubble sloshing around in there, and it never comes out! It's mocking me from inside her tummy - bastard bubbles! ~X(
I got a 5 hour stretch between night feedings! About 3.5-4 of that was sleep time. DS has been consistent with the 3 hour rotation so this is a big win! He was up after just 2 hours for his next feeding, though. Is it common for your LOs to sleep a long stretch, followed by a short one?
My LO does this too. I've read that they're only capable of one long stretch each day so I think it's pretty normal.

My LO is the same and I had to accept the fact that if I wanted more than 2 hours of sleep that'd I'd have to go to bed at the same time she does. So tonight I got 9:30-2:00. I will take it!

Yes this is very common. My mom always put it like "they have to make up for it" talking about sleeping through a feeding. Like when we(adults) skip a meal like breakfast we usually over eat or snack at night. Same concept....per my momma ☺️
Lo is a perfect angel all day - does a three hour mom's on call/baby whisperer schedule all day, then bedtime is a nightmare. We've been trying to get her to sleep for over two hours now, and she's exhausted but won't sleep for more than 5 minutes at a time...
She's asleep now, but it's going on 1.5 hours since she ate and so shell probably be up again in no time
so tonight i fought to keep lo awake until 8:30 then fed him. Then I dream fedhim at 10:15 In hopes of sleeping a bit longer....nope didn't work even a little bit

What is dream feeding? Any luck getting him back down? G is asleep, let's see if she transfers to her cradle
LO went to bed in her bassinet at 10:30 and I was so excited that it was a normal time! Except then she woke up at 11:30 and now has been up for over an hour. I have to be up with her pretty early tomorrow and I know I'm going to be exhausted all day, now.
DS eats and then goes to sleep all day long, then likes to stay up from 10-3 give or take an hour. I'm praying that he will sack out after this feeding DH is currently doing. DS acts like he is starving at night, will take 5oz and then stay up rooting/eating fingers/crying until next bottle. He does this at least twice a night.

Dream feeding is when you feed them while they are asleep. It'd supposed to extend sleep time....no luck my way.
Glad you got g to sleep! I'm up again with Baylor. I don't know what I'm going tho do. I can't take this anymore! Every hour and a half to two hours is too much! I'm going to go crazy and then die
DS had been doing great sleeping. Down at 9 till either 2 or 3 then asleep until 7. Tonight he's decided to be up several times (12, 1, and again at 4) and after spoiling his dad and I with those long stretches of sleep it has been no fun! I'm really hoping it's just his 6 week growth spurt and he will return to his normal sleep pattern soon.
Fed LO at 10, she didn't go to sleep until 11 and we are back up at 2:30. I fed her and now I'm probably going to be spending the next hour putting the pacifier back in her mouth every time she drops it until she is asleep. For some reason when she wakes up for this feed she is wide awake. Drives me crazy. She also fights the swaddle, but won't fall asleep unless swaddled. I have a feeling this is a preview of my life to come....with a stubborn daughter who doesn't know what she wants.
Well, it looks like we are having another 4 1/2 hours of sleep for me day. Here's hoping LO will take a nap this afternoon after her 2 month appointment!
Gabby has only been taking 45 minute naps today, including tonight so far. It's almost 11:00 and she is wide awake. I have a terrible headache. I'm not counting on a good night.
This middle of the night gas is getting so old. Gas drops aren't helping. Colic Calm isn't helping. He's burping ok each feeding. What else can I do? I'm flipping exhausted! I'm about to try giving up dairy to see if it helps. Ugh.
Omg! This must be the night for our July 20th gals - mine slept from 9-4! Yay!
And i'm so full that she only took one side... to pump or not to pump. That is the question...
Yay for all of us! My LO just got up for the first time tonight i feel like a million bucks i decided to just hand express a little into the washcloth i keep next to my bed for motn feedings (G can be messy sometimes)
