I have my 12 week appointment today (I guess more like 12 w, 6 d)! Looking forward to hearing the heartbeat again. But I'm also taking the dreaded glucose tolerance test. My mom had gestational diabetes, so they're testing early for me.

@jcar2‌ - I have been having carpal tunnel symptoms and insomnia for the past couple weeks, as well. Hope you find a good solution! I'm currently trying the method of sleeping with wrist splints and a body pillow. So far it has not helped much.

I stayed up past my bedtime last night catching up on my favorite shows. I am so tired today all I want to do is lay in bed. I don't have to be at work for almost 2 more hours and since being at work means rolling out of bed and walking down the hall, I'm really annoyed that my kids have to be up for school so early this year. I just want to sleep til 7:45

I'm back around the board after a totally exhausting time getting moved in to our new place and taking care of one unforeseen issue after another. But I'm very happy to be where we are, and I'm excited for DH to start a really great grad school program. He deserves the chance to do this.

I am taking a tour of the daycare center on our campus this morning. They expect to have room in the infant class by late winter, and a deposit now will hold my spot, since we're a student family at the school. That would be such a load off, since there is a still unaccounted-for month and a half between the end of my maternity leave and the end of my husband's semester that it would be a great relief to have a plan for.

H told me last night that DD has her pediatric appointment this morning (just a normal 12 month check up) which I had forgotten because they did the reminder call to his phone instead of mine. H said I could just call and reschedule, but I didn't because I want to see what her height and weight is...and I can swing by Dunkin Donuts on the way back home!

And God help me but yet another update in the crazy SIL saga. My MIL called H last night saying she felt I should apologize to my SIL and smooth things over between us. My H was amazing and told her firmly I have nothing to apologize for and if anything, SIL needs to be the one to contact me with an apology and we could go from there. MIL also decided she needed to know if our pregnancy is planned and though I didn't hear most of what she said I got the idea she was telling him there is no reason to have children so fast and about how she waited 5 years and blah blah blah. My in-laws are freakin' nuts.

I hope everyone has a great day today, especially those with appointments and those going back to work!

Oh and @jessuhmarie @beatlesgal4 I missed the opening of Diagon Alley by three days when I was in Orlando in July. I was SO PISSED. There were people back there but it was blocked off to the general public, when we tracked down where they were letting people in they said the preview was only for the Universal Vacation Package people. I probably won't get back there for another 5+ years so I am super le sad.

Hope the appointments go well today!

This is a bit long, but I'm agitated and a bit of a hormonal wench today.

I think I am having neighbor issues. First that loon hops my fence and harasses my dog. Now the old lady across the street is convinced I'm a cheater. While H was away, our stove top had some issues and all of the burners stopped working. H told me not to deal with it and he would take care of it. Well, we just moved into the house so we don't even have a microwave. A co-worker offered to give me one for free, but it's old and huge. So H told me to ask one of the guy co-workers to carry it into the house for me (my work is a block away from my house and these male co-workers are barely out of their teens...).

So yesterday, my H comes into the house laughing. He said our neighbor waved him over to her porch. She wanted to tell him that all was pretty quiet while he was gone but I had a man over my house doing heavy lifting for me, and she never saw him leave. (We went out the back door because it's closer to the car and we were on a 15 minute break from work and in a rush...wtf). What does H do? He tells her he will have to talk to me about it!!! He finds it hilarious and instead of telling her the truth, he's going along with it. He doesn't understand why I am so pissed. Just wait until I start to show, this old bitty is going to think the guy got me KU.

Last night was my first night home by myself (meaning without SO or best friend). It was hard at first, but best friend called me and we talked for a long time until I was falling asleep. I couldn't sleep in my bed though, I slept in the living room on the floor watching tv. So my body HURTS. Thank god I have a chiropractic appt this morning.

Oh and I'm 10 weeks 2da. Double digits. Crazy how time flies.

Exactly!!!! I told him while he thinks it's funny, it's not amusing to me that we've lived there for a month and she's already in our business. I'm starting to dread meeting the rest of our neighbors. Absurd. Now that he's encouraged it, she's going to think it's okay. I haven't even met the woman yet.

@babys2014 I am seriously considering that exact Doppler. My sister used one during her pregnancy (not that one) and was constantly freaked out because it was 50/50 whether it would work any given day. I worry that buying one will do more harm than good. So I'm on the fence. I'm curious to hear if anyone's Doppler is causing them undue stress??

I'm seriously stressing out because i left my phone charger at home (very serious issue, I know). So now I have to conserve my battery which means limited bumping today.

Also, it's 9:30 and I'm already eyeing the sour patch kids in the vending machine.

I made asparagus with dinner last night and didn't cut off the ends. No reason, I just didn't. End of story. When H was eating dinner and realized the ends hadn't been cut you'd have thought I had just told him that this human inside of me wasn't his baby.

He was like, 'WTF, babe. I mean, why didn't you cut the ends? Did you just forget? Were you just being lazy!? I don't understand....I just....' He was beside himself and his face was twisted!!!! I said, 'You can cut them off now with your fork and knife...'

So he did. Took him 5 seconds. Problem solved.

I didn't know asparagus was so serious. PSH!!!

Every year C and I go to the local apple orchard to pick apples in the fall and I turn those apples into pies for my dad's birthday, Thanksgiving, and a handful of lucky friends.

Last year I was sad because everyone had their cute babies with them taking pictures by the hay stacks and pumpkins and I was so hoping I'd have a baby to take with me next time around. But now, even though I don't have the baby outside my body, I am happy because next year I'll have an adorable 7 month old to dress in a little fall sweater set for pictures with the pumpkins!!

I suppose this is the last year I'll be picking my apples without a little helper

@missycee your ILs are some serious fun. If my ILs decided they could get into my family planning business, I'd be done with them. Seriously, I don't tolerate adults acting like obnoxious children or pretending my grown husband and I are still children. Fuck that.

The work we've been doing getting E to go to sleep on her own is slowly but surely making progress. She is still having a hard time, but she is doing better and she is self-soothing in the MOTN (*finally*). Only problem is she wakes up at 6. And I'm not getting up at 6...so I take her to bed with me so we can sleep another hour or two. Meep.

I'm so happy that it seems it is going to be a little bit cooler today.

Now for my random: We're in the process of packing up our current house since we bought our first home. Apparently my dog is mad at us and probably thinks we're packing up and leaving him (which is false), BUT I walked in the kitchen, grabbed a drink and a snack. When I went to walk out, I stepped right in the middle of a BIG pile of piss and slid a good foot, drink and snack went flying and landed right on my butt. Not only did he pee on the stack of brand new moving boxes, but he also peed on a big contractor black bag I filled yesterday. My husband's response was "...is it ok if I laugh?" Great way to start the day. Bright side, the kitchen floor is now squeaky clean.

@babys2014 and @lewispm‌ I ordered that exact doppler and it has been a godsend for my PgAL brain. I've been able to pick up the heartbeat every time I try since 9 weeks, and it completely puts me at ease when I'm having an anxious day and want some reassurance. It isn't the greatest at calculating the heart rate, as it picks up lots of background noises, but I just count it myself in 15 sec and multiply by 4. I assume everyone's experiences aren't the same as mine, and I've heard some people not being able to find it and it causes them stress, but for me it has been a positive experience and well worth the $45!

@lewispm @babys2014 I love my doppler, but I only use occasionally I don't want to become dependent on it for my sanity. I also have the sonoline b, i know other posters have suggested watching the youtube videos, I did and it was helpful in determining the different sounds.

My random is my 4 yo dd is getting her first real haircut today, probably going to end up cutting off the baby curls and it's makes me a little sad. Silly I know because it's just hair, but everyone loves her curls!

I am tempted t start a new thread to get some answers on this one, but I'll post here so not to be AWish and hope that someone has some advice/shared experience. I have been trying to reach my doctor since yesterday afternoon about some mild bleeding after I had after sex Monday night. I know it can be totally normal, but after reading the RH neg posts (I'm RH neg) I learned you often need the shot if you have any bleeding, so I'm freaking out. EVERY time I call, I get an answering service and have to leave a message. They called me back yesterday like 5 mins before closing and I left another message yesterday evening and called again this morning and left a message. They called me back like 15 mins ago but I couldn't get to my phone in time and missed it. Called back immediately and, what do you know, had to leave another message.

I will most certainly be changing docs as even scheduling an apt has been this much of a pain, but if any of you have advice on the bleeding while I'm waiting, or some info that could ease my mind, my paranoid self would really appreciate it!

@MissyCee That's so funny cause my mom told me the other day it would be "easier" for my sister if I told her that this was an "oops". No mom, I'm not going to lie and say my baby was unplanned to make this easier for my sister, she's a big girl and can get the eff over it.

I played hookey from school today but have a networking function later that I have to go to. Booo. I'm cranky and hormonal and want to destroy things today. But I have my first high risk OB appointment tomorrow morning which is exciting, I get to see peanut again!!!

I second @nannabee21‌'s opinion on the doppler. I've been able to find the heartbeat pretty regularly since a little after 9 weeks, now that I know where it is. It is very comforting to me. On the rare occasion that I couldn't find it, I took a break, changed positions, and found it shortly after. It is not very accurate on displaying the hr yet, but we actually made a recording of it and counted and it is right in line with what the u/s showed.

@adouces06‌ Glad you're getting some relief! I will have to look for the wipes - I didn't know about those! I actually sent DH to buy my vagisil a few weeks ago so I assume he got me exactly what I requested. That's love right there.... Going to buy your pregnant wife's vag cream! Hehe

Actually I did end up calling my dr again this morning because I am going insane. They are working me in this afternoon which is good; hopefully they can actually confirm it's a YI and maybe they'll decide I'm close enough to 2nd tri for some Diflucan! I don't want to take anything risky, but I need relief! @-)

Today is my last day of work. It hasn't really sunk in yet and I doubt it will for awhile. I'm really bad at goodbyes, and the emotions probably won't surface for a week or two. The feels are there, just internally. Blarf, I hope I don't come across as a robot.

But I am looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow.

@alexandria22489 I dislike people up in my business. We still haven't met most of our neighbors and we've been in the house almost a year. We've only had one guy down the street pop over to introduce himself but luckily no gossip queens or drama llamas.

@mauibliss @snlt1012 I think of the lime as a key lime, which is very small and could be less than 2" but the peach...yeah, only the organic ones are super small otherwise they're HUGE. @kella0708 The Sicilians know how to do.

@frecklesinside Send some of your coolness over this way, when I left my air conditioned bedroom this morning for the bathroom I was gasping in the most humid air EVER. It even LOOKS humid outside, all sunny haze. Blegh, bring to me your autumn breezes!

@janda426 I also have a lot of underground nasties, I would really like them to decide what they want to do because I'm in a wedding on Saturday and I'd rather not look like a pizza-faced teenager!
