@jcoffeebeans She's probably just 'clearing herself out'. DS1 used to do that too.
@bunnyfungo Some people are very protective of their kids with others. Not to imply you are mean or anything, but I have friends that won't let the 'step' parent have any say regarding ANYTHING to do with the kid. I'm sorry if that's what's happening here. Enjoy your breather.
@kaking78 I can't see that they'd all be able to come to ANY agreement. I have ladies dress pants in sizes 4, 8, 11 and 13. They ALL fit me. I have tops in small, medium and large. I'd prefer that adults clothes get regulated. Sizing baby clothes by months isn't practical anyway...my 5 month old is the same size as my friend's 9 month old. And he's wearing mostly 12 month stuff.
Good luck @addisonsmom22! We had our first overnight last weekend. There was only my nephew who is 6. It wasn't nearly as awfulnas I thought it would be and I felt pretty accomplished, albeit exhausted, when we got home! @bunnyfungo, I'm really sorry its gotten to this point. I hope it shakes things up a bit, in a good way. Baby clothes sizing is my nemesis. For one, the tops and bottoms of outfits never fit her at the same time so she's all non-coordinated. And then I just barely missed a bunch of pants because I'm used to them not fitting until later. Well these pants were a different brand so they would have fit much earlier! I bought some new clothes online and I can only imagine when, if at all, she will fit in them! I washed vacuumed and wiped my car this am. I apparently took too long because my battery died from the radio! Woops.
@surpriseat39 I know, but in my fantasy world all size 3-6 would be about the same length in the torso. I don't care if he's wearing that size at 2 months or 2 years, but it would be nice if they were all more or less the same size so there is less guesswork involved. I have so many baby clothes that he never wore because as a FTM I missed the memo about how arbitrary the sizing is. By the time I pulled out some of his 6-9 month stuff it was already too small
For the record I think the inconsistent sizing for women's clothes sucks too - I wish we could buy all of our pants by measurement like men do. I guess manufacturers think that we wouldn't like having to know our waist circumferences.
@Jt7dreamz Mine naps on me most of the time. If I try to get comfortable enough to rest myself then he wakes up.
I miss when he could sleep with the toddler screaming and yelling and chasing the cat. Now if he sleeps away from me it needs to be away from everything.
I feel you. I was a 34a when I got pregnant. 34dd today. Ugh
I would love to be a 34dd.
I don't really have any idea what size I am anymore other than huge. All of my nursing bras are stretchy. I do know that my pre-baby 38dd bras are way too small now.
ladies with big boobs, I've had luck finding really quality nursing bras on Ebay, they were brand new with tags for around $15 each. I got them while nursing DS1 and they are still in good shape.
I wonder how her doctor determined it was pregnancy? Blood test? Ultrasound? Just going by a list of symptoms? (Symptoms for pregnancy and menopause can be quite similar)
Also, I take care of a 21 month old AND a 5.5 month old all day, everyday all alone. I get them cleaned, fed, clothed, napping, playing, etc. I carry them both at the same time if necessary. DH has trouble dealing with one and has a fear of doing much more than sit around if he's in charge of both at the same time. I think it's just a normal thing that when something like a poopsplosion happens they get overwhelmed and don't know how to deal with it.
So we're out at target shopping (where all of their baby wraps are on sale I might add) and while grabbing a Kleenex box look what we saw on the shelf... I died laughing lol!!! Give that stocker a high five!! ( ;
The fever is gone but the cough isn't. So frustrating, he coughs & wakes himself up . He also has been coughing up stuff & swollowing it but earlier it was too much & he started gagging / choking & scared the shit out of me. He got it out but we were both a little freaked out. Poor baby! Makes me not want to leave his side ever. I can't believe there's nothing they can do for him
I empathize. We are going through the exact same thing right now. The only difference is that I have the cold too so I know that he's in the last stages - his mucous has thinned out and is draining out of his sinuses at a rapid rate. I hope that's where you guys are too.
Meanwhile my husband caught J's hand, foot, and mouth disease. He's a miserable wreck. What a great long weekend at our house
I'm at work for a "half day". Whenever I have a half day holiday, I'm here all day. I hope Random is busy today because that's what I will need to get me through it!
@addisonsmom22 that sounds awful I'm so sorry. Like @Jt7dreamz said, sometimes thinking about it makes you that much more worked up. I hope you can get some much needed rest today and enjoy every minute with A.
I'm on page 602. Work is super hectic, my house is a disaster zone, I have zero groceries in the fridge/cabinets, and DH's time is getting sucked into a car project that is taking 100x longer than he expected. Ugh. Next weekend I'm going out with the girls and I'm going to drink ALL the vodka!! lol
This is my first time posting on random. I've been lurking to see what kind of stuff is talked about here. For some reason I've always been intimidated by this thread.
Anyways I just wanted to say.... T&P's to those having a rough time.

We got new neighbour's a couple houses down about 3 weeks ago. Now their next door neighbour just moved out yesterday and we had NO idea. No 'for sale' sign or anything...
I don't mind. They were asshats anyways. I just hope we get someone nice in there. The other new people have 3 little boys right around my kids' ages.
Just had to raise the jumperoo up to the highest setting. This kiddo loves to jump, and now i'm totally worried that he's going to get too tall for it before he is done with it. Going to have to figure out a way to rig it up higher. Freaking giant baby.
We got new neighbors in march... They just moved out over a weekend, new people moved in. They redid a ton of stuff and now those people appear to be moving out again.
It's weird their boys played outside everyday all day... Then they just stopped and now moving their stuff out.
@bennieangel I think we're going to buy an amber teething necklace. I figure it can't hurt to try! Emma's got a couple of her bottom teeth coming in (you can see the bumps) but I don't now how close we are to them breaking through. Also, she chews on a lot of frozen teethers.

I hate getting stuff out, setting it all up pretty, maintaining it, then taking it all and packing it away in a month or two.
Yes, I feel the same way about Christmas - but DH decorates for it. Hopefully the kids will help him when they're bigger so I can sit and drink my wine.
I don't like holiday decorating either. It's such a chore. We'll do a tree when Emma is older but that'll most likely be it.
On a side note, I'm going to bitch slap some people today. I want to rage on everyone. I work in a very schedule-driven environment and people's blatant disregard for other people's schedules and time baffles me. I do my best to respect other people and their time but the past couple of days I feel like no one gives a shit about my schedule. I'm two whole sessions behind bc of other therapists.

I miss the days when she would sit still while feeding. Now it's arms flailing, yanking my hair, sitting up and knocking the bottle out, just all over the place haha
This!! Although, my heart does melt everytime M unlatches to look up at me and grin.
DS hadn't pooped since Thursday, I just knew he'd go yesterday so DH could change it. Nope!!! He let it Alllll out this morning!!! In the mamaroo! Ugh!! It.was.everywhere.

Yeah I just unzipped the cover and it comes right off. It's in the washer now. Luke loves it! He spent many nights in it because he wouldn't sleep anywhere else! And I put him in it this morning because he slept like crap last night (again) and I laid down on the couch, and he actually fell asleep in it! But, he left me a BIG surprise when he woke up! LOL
I really hadn't ever seen them, but my mom and dad bought us one...it was a big surprise from them, but it's been totally worth the money!
