@Taymiller tomorrow's pill will be dedicated to you!
Awe thanks lady, get tons done! Is it sad that I already have my first "adderall project" picked out. I am going to reorganize the whole basement and it is going to be awesome and I want to watch a movie from start to finish without pausing or having to rewind.
After much internal debate, I decided to go back on my Adderall since I felt like my brain was Teflon. As in nothing was sticking - couldn't remember stuff. I've been off of it since my BFP last October. Day one back on was today. After the first couple of hours I swear I could feel my hair growing! But that subsided pretty quickly and holy sh*t - I got stuff DONE today! Now maybe I can get my house put back in order since it still looks like BRU exploded inside! I'm not a huge medication advocate but I really gotta hand it to Pharma here. And to the Hubs because my scatter brained self probably has been driving him insane all this time! Bonus side effect I won't complain about - appetite suppression and more stable energy level (for me at least)

Are you Breastfeeding?
I'm pretty sure she's not. If you asked because you wanted to know whether it was safe or not so you could make a decision for yourself, okay. If you asked so you could enlighten her, then you really should give her more credit than that.
That question really rubbed me the wrong way and it was even directed to me.
we were neighbors and I came over to your house to hang out and I left B there on accident- like I completely forgot him. and a few hours later your DH brought him over and was like "um you left your baby at my house. here." LOL
I think it was that adorable picture of M on Facebook last night and I might secretly want to be best friends with you. it was silly. :P

Hahaha! I will hang out with you and your babies any day!
I wasn't being judgey at all. Sorry if it and across that way. I really was asking because I'm considering restarting my adderall and I am breastfeeding. All the healthcare professionals I have spoken with basically have said it's up to me to make a decision, they won't really steer me in one direction or another so I was wondering what her experience was with that. Also, I did take it a few times during pregnancy so definitely no judgement here. Sorry, I should have been more detailed in my original post.
ETA: @otter1103 seriously--good for you! I am useless without adderall and so scared to go back to work without it. I'm jealous!
@lalala8 if my teaching special ed memory serves me, adderall you have to take daily to maintain the amount in your system.y brother was on Concerta for ADD and that you can take as needed.
Ok ladies - about the Adderall. I'll give you a rundown about my experience. WARNING: This is gonna be long!!
If you have any questions I don't mention, just ask. I have no problem talking about it and actually joke about it most of the time (e.g. Sorry my meds have worn off)
I have been on Adderall XR, the extended release type for about 12 years. When DD was approaching preschool age I started noticing off behavior. Not the typical, she's a toddler type of behavior but some concerning things. She would get mad and run and hit her head into the wall, she was physically abusive to her older brother, and to her self. I thought there's no way this kid can go to preschool, they will think we're beating her from all of her self inflicted bruises. I found a therapist that specialized in pediatrics and had DD evaluated. We completed the behavior survey forms, had my mom completed one, the baby sitter did one and then met again with the therapist. Again, this is my experience and it may sound like it falls into the social stigma of early diagnosis so please remember, my personal and family experience here. It was determined DD had ADHD and ODD (oppositional defiant disorder). We went through behavior modification strategies and monitored her for 18 months before we even considered meds. Throughout this whole process I did LOTS of research on ADHD/ADD and realized my family history was right on for my kids. On my dad's side of the family I have 5 cousins. All of them were treated as kids and teens for ADHD or ADD! Every behavior survey I completed I realized, man that sounds like me. So I went to get evaluated too. I discovered my ADD after my kids diagnosis. I have met so many other parents who have the same experience as me. Diagnosed after their kids. I always thought I was just a super multi tasker until I realized I didn't finish some of those tasks. Adderall is the only med I've been on because it worked. We have had to tinker with the dosage. The first doc had me at 30mg which after a year and some less than desirable side effects, we found to be too high. I went down to 15mg and was there for 9 or so years. Last year before my BFP we upped it to 20mg as a test since I was back in school. And I've been good there. (I probably would've rocked my high school AP classes more if I had been medicated then.)
Now I joke about being on meds to keep the subject light and approachable but I did not take the decision to medicate my young children lightly at all. They were both on meds until about the age of 10 when I let them decide. My daughter is a normal dramatic not medicated teen. Although I know meds would help her more, I must respect her choice to not take them. It's her body and she knows how they make her feel. We have an agreement that if school work starts to suffer, we will go back to her therapist and doctor to re-evaluate.
@MaddieRosie, personally I'm not sure I would feel comfortable BF'ing with Adderall. I pop positive on drug screens at work for amphetamine so I know there's trace amounts that baby could get. But you gotta do what you gotta do to keep your sanity too.
@lalala8, I started out with my primary care doctor
My poor baby had her two month appointment today, they gave her all her vaccines and she has been inconsolable all afternoon and not able to sleep, just a couple catnaps here and there. I know most babies go thru this but it breaks my heart to see her like this, she felt asleep in my arms after I fed her half hour ago and I'm still here doubting if I should put her in bed or not. It's gonna be a long long night.
I've been toying with the idea of going back to work part-time instead of full-time. I xould possibly cut down to 3 10-hour days instead of 5 7.5 hour days. We'll miss that extra money... but...
So my friend who recently found out she is pregnant had her ultrasound today and she is having twins!!!! I am so happy for her, getting pregnant has been such a struggle for her so this is wonderful!
@chickpea912 sold me her extra Audrey!! I didn't discover this diaper was such a hot item until I tried to find one last month simply because it's uber cute.
I'm clearly nuts since I'm so excited about this...

Starting to doubt the "cloth is cheaper" thing when I see you ladies going crazy for the styles! I knew there was a reason that CD thread was so long... :P

I hear that! I've actually only bought 2 covers new and this one. The rest I've found on swap pages or on consignment locally. But the women I've bought from, whoa! When they go to sell, they've easily got hundreds of dollars invested. But you want to see real crazy, I just found an Aden & Anais B/S/T group. Those blankets are not cheap & these women post pictures of their stashes and there's easily 30+ blankets in these pictures. At least with diapers it's something you need multiple of a day. But blankets? Why? And the old prints go for crazy dollars too! Maybe it wouldn't seem so crazy if I had mad money to burn

Whoa! I have one A&A Dream Blanket (in Liam the Brave pattern) and LOVE it for tummy time. Was thinking about getting one of their full-size "Daydream" blankets for myself - then I realized I was seriously considering buying a $125 throw blanket for myself. Who do I think I am? Oprah?
i went to my first kid's consignment sale today. I got a huge stack of books, a few toys, and a basket of really nice brand name clothes for about $100 and buying new they would have easily been over $500. Super happy about it.
@ugbamafans yay for you!! It is so exciting to be out of that kind of debt, and it is no easy task to get them paid off.

@otter1103 - Are we in the same A+A group? Yes... that group fueled a slight A+A craze for me for a short while, but I think I've gotten myself under control... maybe.
DH has dealt with Mark Wahlberg a few times at work, but he was in the restaurant again tonight and it's at the point where Marky Mark (lol) now recognizes and starts conversations with DH. I'm so jealous!
I went to Hollywood once and saw David Schwimmer and was in awe lol. DH has met so many famous people at work (who knew famous people came to Boston). He's had words with a few (if they are rude or entitled, he DGAF)... He said he was only stars truck twice, once with Tom Cruise (who was super nice) and the other with Tyra Banks.
I mean... He got to meet Tyra! I could never be around famous people. I get too excited just hearing his stories lol.
I love antm too! I wanted to get dressed and go I'm when he said she was there. Tyra is so crazy!
I haven't heard to many diva stories BUT I guess Rob Lowe and Steve Carell were both total jerks... but otherwise the stories are always nice than you'd think (boring). Like, Tom Cruise signed everyone's autograph... he met Kevin Spacey after the marathon bombing when he was out getting drunk with Boston cops... Kevin Bacon was surprised that DH even knew who he was, lol.
Then he says things like the guys are all really short and tiny in real life, and how Cameron Diaz wasn't pretty at all. But that one I don't even believe I think he's just saying to make me feel better.
I ran into Christina Aguilera at WDW when I was in hs (genie in a bottle days) and then Kate Gosselin in Target a couple years ago. Both weird to see in real life, but both looked really good! It was totally weird that Kate was super dressed up in Target though, complete with huge wedges on.
To who ever talked about the froggy towel a little while back, thank you!!!! It kept LO cool at the baseball game and helped keep me cool to. I love this board so much, I get so many tips and tricks that I would never think of.
Anyone else panic a little bit any time they feel a little bit "off"... I feel slightly nauseous today, and it totally took me back to last year close to this time... I sat at my desk for a minute thinking Oh S***! I'm not sure I could handle another pregnancy right now!
I placed an order on carters.com for my nephews birthday - it arrived yesterday and there was a girly 24 month pink sleeper in the box with my order - I totally did not order it. Just checked the order online to be sure I wasn't charged for it - I was not. SCORE! I will totes take the freebie on their error -- Happy Wednesday to meeee!
@skittler2 & @amberatkins8 there's a big consignment sale coming up in a couple of weeks. I can search & shop for you if you'd like. If I find a couple I'll grab them for you. Just let me know what you're okay spending, i.e. under $30, 20... If I find any just pay me a couple extra bucks on top of cost for shipping them. If I only find one then we'll have to figure that out. Or give me 2 choices to look for.
Eta - in my excitement over my find, I said the wrong one. I got a Lovelace.
I'm so excited!! We are going out of town for a few days (last minute decision) to get some R and R before I return to work on Tuesday. We leave tonight. My MIL is also driving us nuts so that's another bonus. Sad/anxious about returning to work but REALLY looking forward to our first vacay with LO. Happy birthday to moi!
