I had my nose pierced for a long time, and when I got with SO I took it out one day and just never put it back in. It's still open even though I don't wear a ring anymore.

I had my cartilage pierced twice and my boss made me take them out because they didn't "look professional" (I had 16 guage hoops in them) and I haven't ever been able to wear regular earrings in them because they stay infected so I just left them out. They're still open (I check them from time to time).

I have my belly button, which I'll have to take out of course, and my ears have 2 holes each in them. I had 4 in each earlobe at one time but the upper 2 stayed infected so I got tired of it.

Hi ladies, hope you're having a terrific day!

I've been out all day with my DD, mom and sister. We went out to Olive Garden for lunch, got iced coffees, then went shopping. I got back home and had my mom watch C, while me and my sister got mani/pedi's. It was heaven. Not to mention I come home and my mom did the dishes and cleaned C's room. Score! Now I have leftovers for dinner, and won't have to make anything. It was an awesome day.

I used to have my nipples, belly button, and a hood ring. I miss them from time to time but I would never get any of them done again. I've had my belly button pierced for different times. I've reached my pain threshold there with the scar tissue and I'm sure it would be just as bad to redo the nipples.

The hood ring was fun while it lasted but the, uh, friction caused it to always unscrew itself and it was always falling out.

@nina&bill I'm sorry your appt didn't go as well as you hoped. Hopefully your next u/s will have a happy outcome.

I got my tongue pierced as soon as I turned 18 to piss my mom off. I spent way too much money on my collection of tongue jewelry. A few years later when I was waitressing & had to take it out every shift & put in a plug. It ended up getting infected & I just gave up on it after that.

I have two. A phoenix on my upper back and an infinity sign entwined in a heart on my lower back. I've named my lower back one "Infinite Ass Love"

I have 3:

3 hibiscus flowers on my lower back

a different species of hibiscus on my foot and

a celtic cross on my ankle (supposed to represent the cross from the church camp I went to every summer and loved)

I have a few.

The first one I got is baby blocks on my shoulder spelling out my oldest's name.

Second was on each wrist "live to ride, ride to live" with my dads birthday and the day he died. He died in a motorcycle accident and riding was his favorite thing to do. Long story short, his best friend was bringing over a box of things from his desk at work and couldn't stop crying. When he pulled up to our house and went to get the box from the trunk a model motorcycle my dad had kept repeating "live to ride, ride to live" over and over and it made his friend stop crying and start laughing. That was my dad

Third is 4 leaf clovers down my side with "faith hope love luck" between each one. Traditionally this is what each leaf on the clover stand for. It's a nod to my Irish heritage.

And last, a footprint that was drawn for me to scale of the size of Jonah's foot when he passed. It was drawn by another bumpie who's daughter was still born 3 days after Jonah. I got it on a cross country date with another bumpie who's daughter was also still born 2 days before Jonah.

ETA: My poor J2, I don't have any tattoos for her, it's in my plans for the future at some point.

I have 3. One on each foot with quotes from my favorite musician and sparrows, and a small heart on my thigh with K's initials...I got it when I was 17. I was supposed to get another for mother's day but it didn't happen...so now ill be waiting.

I have been wanting to get a hummingbird with more hibiscus flowers (can you tell I like those flowers lol) somewhere, but I haven't decided where I want it yet. I feel like my tattoos are even (I'm wierd, I know) and I don't want to throw one side off by getting another tattoo.. then I guess I can get another one to even it out.. LOL I sound BSC don't I?

I have a blue butterfly on the back of my neck (my very first one when I was 18)

my favorite flower - hibiscus - on the back of my right shoulder that also has a wolf spider on the flower (meaning behind that)

A panther climbing up my left side (on a whim tattoo... It was supposed to symbolize being free from an abusive relationship after I left him, but I didn't have a plan and this was the first thing I saw. Now I regret it and want it removed.)

A treble clef on my right wrist because I'm a singer and have always loved music.

My daughter's birth certificate foot print on top of my right foot.

I want to get:

My son's foot print on my foot also, cover up my panther with a floral piece going down my side, a small giraffe somewhere to symbolize SO (he's so tall - 6'3" - and lanky, so his friends always called him giraffe), and another tattoo for this baby when he/she is here.

My sister just called and her tire was slashed, again, while at her boyfriend's house. We think it is either his soon-to-be ex-wife or her ex-husband. They went to the police the first time, and they said they couldn't do anything since they had no proof. They went back to the police this time, and they said that they couldn't do anything without proof. That is so frustrating! They got pregnant while on birth control and using a condom, so she has a 2 month old while working a retail job and he just lost his job due to budget cuts. She already doesn't have money to spare, and now she has to repair her tire. Isn't it the police's job to get proof of who is vandalizing her car? They're just going to let her car get vandalized over and over and not do anything because "she doesn't have proof." I just feel so bad for her.

Funny little aside, when I met H (on a business trip in Jamaica) he nick named me "GunTree" because of my tats and I'm still in his phone under that.

I definitely want more ink. I've always wanted something Little Mermaid and I want something to represent my family/children. I also want a (new) cross. Where my rose is used to be a cross but I decided it was bad placement so I covered it up and want to get one somewhere else. H recommended the back of my neck but I'm on the fence about it. Everything but my little star is covered with normal clothing.

I have vented here before about my SIL, and I think I posted about how she's suddenly wanting to hang out with me in an obvious attempt to see if I'm pregnant.

I made plans with her, and have been thinking of ways to hide my blump when I started to question myself. I'm not one to back down and not accept a challenge, but I'm wondering if I'm going too far, thinking about spanx and whatnot.

Is there a way I can politely decline seeing her until Sept 18 when we announce? I haven't seen his family for like 2 months, so they're complaining already.

Ugh, I dunno what to do.

Can you say a big project came up at work and you have to work that day. Then you can use the busy excuse to delay plans.

I would, but my BIL sees me on weekends. He'd know that I wasn't working.

I think I may go with @MandJS 's suggestion and just come up with a chain of excuses. It makes me feel guilty of being shiesty, but then again, I don't owe her anything. She's horrid.

I bought a fake engagement ring at an airport on our way to our honeymoon in Jamaica because I didn't want to wear my rings in the ocean. The rock is kind of obnoxious but could still pass for real at a glance. I would feel so naked without a ring on that finger though!
I had a fake one before I was engaged. I was tired of being hit on my old men when I worked at the bank. Overstock has a bunch of fake ones that you can get in smaller carats so they're not obviously fake

I bought a fake one at an airport too before I was engaged because I always ended up sitting next to creepy men on the plane. But then I had one guy ask if I was engaged, and when I lied and said yes, he said, "Still time for fun before you're tied down!" Barf.

Another update: nurse just called my hcg is 4200... Which she said was good and my thyroid is fine. My progesterone is 6.4 ng/mL. Idk what all these mean but I go back to retest on Saturday and depending those results we'll schedule another u/s.
