Ikea is definitely something you have to experience at least once in life. But plan for that experience to take all day because it impossible to get out of there, even with shortcuts. They basically make you go through every department We have an entertainment center that has held up well for about 4 years and 3 moves. I actually want to go there soon because they have an adorable children's kitchen set.
We have a bunch of ikea stuff, some nightstands, a few dressers etc. Most of it has held up well for the cost. In fact I just repainted our nightstands and added trim and now they are in our guestroom and look great. On Pintrest there are a ton of ikea hacks that you can use to spruce up older pieces. Our nightstands are at least 4 years old. I have never seen any of their solid wood furniture though.
UGH random rant - I just want to know what's wrong with my baby !! Her pedi office is really getting on my nerves. NO ONE THERE KNOWS NOTHING ! Now that her fever is broke she's randomly screaming like a hurt cry . Not her typical im hungry or sleepy cry. This is a something is bothering me cry. The nurse at her pedi office tells me " well im not sure we can have her come back In." Yea for me to spend ANOTHER $25 co -pay ( this will make the third of the week.) Just for you to tell me nothing.

Sorry @tsmith312. I hate that cry too. Baby girl was doing it yesterday afternoon and I checked her whole body, nothing visual, but it was an instant panic of "what do I do to help her" feeling. Thankfully it was just her tummy hurting her.
ETA: Does she like a bath? T seems to calm down if I put her in a bath. I know if H is sick then it won't help her, but the water soothes T.
Thanks, she LOVES baths. I usually take one with her and it seems to help out a lot. She has a virus so I m just hopinh maybe her tummy is hurting or something. Its just so frustrating when they cant tell you what's hurting them.

DH made me brownies a couple days ago. We buy the triple chocolate Ghirardelli mix from Costco. So he made a pan of brownies which we ate as brownies. When they were gone he made another pan.
Last night's portion was eaten with: fresh strawberry chunks, a few fresh blueberries and some French vanilla ice cream. (I forgot the chocolate sause drizzled on top, but there's enough for another serving tonight)
Right?! Great stuff, I just spent the first 20 mins of work catching up on all of that... I don't see anything wrong with FB or TB, I think its all based off your own personal opinion of what you would rather use..

I have to learn how to budget myself when I go grocery shopping. I think we spend way to much money when we go. Any one have any good tips they use?
Meal planning! It's tedious sometimes, but so worth it. I have a running list of the staples we get every week, and I usually get those at Target because they are cheaper there. Then I see what we have on hand in the house and decide what meals I want to do for the week and figure out what I need from there.
I end up saving because I'm not just buying whatever looks good and then wasting produce or meat I don't use because I have no time or meal planned for it.
I also love grocery shopping haha so I go to Whole Foods/Trader Joe's or Fresh Market or my weekly Farmer's Market for most produce, we go to our local butcher for any meat for the grill, and then hit the regular grocery store for anything else. They are all pretty close to each other so it doesn't take as long as it seems now that I'm typing it out.

FOLLOWING. We spend WAY too much on groceries, then I find myself wanting to eat out because I'm too tired to cook. With me going part time money will be tighter . I try to meal plan and I think I will start doing some couponing along the way.

I always meal plan. I love it. I need organization and it saves money.
Same.
I used to just buy random stuff and try to put meals together from what I had. I wasted a ton of food that way and never wanted to cook. Since I started meal planning (about a year and a half ago), I like cooking a lot more because I know what I'm doing--and, since I pick the meals, I'm excited to make it.
@lincbeesmom well I know it ended with someone not liking ice cream and sushi and then it became about food. All the foods. Oh and LUNCHABLES

Talking about the drama on TB to FB, how people prefer FB over TB, how judgy TB is about FB , why people abandoned TB , SHELLSBELLS drama, how some people thought the fake BFPS are hurtful to people who struggle not getting pregnant, whether Panera is good or not, sushi is amazing, the debate between which lunchable is better , someone doesn't like ice cream... am I missing anthing ?

Oh and the whole thread was started because of this TB vs FB which is ridiculous. There are plenty of members who participate on both and then there people who prefer one over the other. Some prefer the anonymity of TB and avatars and some prefer the "transparency" of real names and pictures. And there are those who hate their job and participate on both instead of working *cough*me*cough*

We have a bjs membership but really have to only buy things we would be buying anyways or else we spend a fortune. We also only eat small variations of the same 3-4 meals and they all consist of not very expensive foods. We also buy the grocery items in bulk when they're on sale. And were also not above eating pb & j for lunch or cereal for dinner just to stretch out what we do have, haha.
brown both sides of the ribs (cooks some of the fat off), coat them in BBQ sauce, stick them in the crock pot, add a little extra sauce. Cook on high for 3ish hours (you can guestimate the time).
meat should fall off... We shred it and have SAMMICHES! it's like... ghetto pulled pork. lol
Isn't everyone on FB on both? I thought that was one of the requirements - a reg on TB. I don't think when people bring it up here it is bashing so much as confusion. You forget that a lot of people on TB are not on FB at all by choice.
Again, I would be more than happy for you guys to bring FB stuff here if explained, but don't allude to things you know that the rest of us don't. That's super obnoxious.

nope. just like some of us only post here, many of them only post there. So it's really two different groups with a smattering of people that do both. like a venn diagram.

Well right, but that have access here if they want to get clarity about something, right?

They also have good lamps and reasonable prices.
And we're going to my MIL's on Saturday for a BBQ. Seems to be a weekend theme.

Also, what's the point of posting vague comments only ppl on fb would know about on TB and then not spilling as was requested?

I;ve been thinking of best way to describe it:
