I got that, I'm following the threads. It still is always confusing. Allusions to drama and things that are obviously being discussed off-board. It often feels like we're getting half the picture around here these days.

There is only one .. Unless there is a branch off.,

My experience with off-boards tells me there is always a branch-off.

Job question - would you ever send an emailed thank you after a meeting? I had an informational meeting about a prospective job on Friday last week and have been out of town. I forgot to grab my thank you cards before leaving. I want to follow up with them very soon so my time for getting it to them is rapidly leaving. Do you think it would be ok just to email a thank you note?

I'd definitely do an email, you never know the mail truck may crash and then they'd never get it.

So, I don't know if you guys remember my issues with the nanny my school hired last year, but basically it was a bit of a cluster fuck that had me running from my class to the daycare and back all day long.

I signed up to use the daycare again because they told me they were hiring someone new.

They just sent out the email.  Apparently there will be 2 nannies and each will be responsible for two kids.  They also said that the nanny from last year will be one of them.

Gah. So now I guess I have to either be the bitch who demands the other nanny or the bitch who backs out at the last minute (and costs everyone else more money). So annoyed already.

Why is this sad? To protect the first bfp so her announcement can be hers and not shells? Really?!

I think they're saying that since nobody will know whether or not it's real, the real BFP might not get the attention/congratulations they deserve. People might just skim past it and think, "yeah, yeah another 'BFP'"

So, my 2.5 year old's latest trick is to scream, "OW! YOU'RE HURTING ME! OW!" at the top of her lungs whenever we're in a store and I take her hand to walk with me. On a related note, I had a nice chat with the security guard at Target today. 

Fun times.

I would hazard to guess so. It was LOUD. Apparently, a "concerned customer" went and found the security guard while we were walking to the checkout. On one hand, I'm thankful that someone is looking out for kids. On the other hand, she was clearly having a tantrum because she wanted to play with the racks of clothes and I wouldn't let her.

Holy CRAP i feel like i have missed a ton! My work week has been so hectic, and we took 65 kids to a waterpark today...i have missed EVERYTHING!

Dude, kids are assholes. DH was stopped leaving the rehab place after DS1's therapy appt once because someone told security he was stealing the kid. DS1 was having an epic meltdown because he refused the sticker they offered then changed his mind after they left.

I have a love/hate relationship. I love the stuff when I'm in the store and hate it when I'm putting it together at home. That said, if you're looking for relatively inexpensive furniture that you won't mind having to possibly replace in 5 years, I recommend it.

Check them out online and see if you like their stuff before making the trip.

My whole house is ikea. Including the kitchen sink. Lol. I've had the MALM bed for 9 years and it's still great. Plus 4 moves. 

There is some things that aren't as awesome with frequent use. But most of it I find is really durable. If you've got your eye on something lemme know and I might've seen/own it. Lol

Lastly, if you do go, get the meatballs.

I wouldn't say best store ever, but I think worth a visit.  And it's easy to buy a ton of crap you didn't realize you needed.

DD used to eat my hair if she got ahold of any. I had to keep it braided, as I do now, since my hair at the time went to my butt. I removed many a hair from her. None from either boy that I've noticed...so far.
