there is something in DS room that smells like death and I can't figure out what it is! it seriously smells like he threw up in the corner or something but I can't find anything. it is SO GROSS
The best part about having a two year old who has to get out of the house everyday is that I am actually getting tan!! I am pasty white English, so this never happens. I may go and buy a bunch of white shirts just to show it off.
Little man's christening was today, and this weekend he decided to stop sleeping 6-7 hour stretches in favor of 2-4. I was exhausted yeaterday with that and prepping the house for the party after church, so dh let me nap for 3 hours with the lo after everyone left. It was glorious. It was also nice to see our families together and the weather to be nice.

There was something very smelly in my car last week! But the stink went away before I took the real time to investigate. Weird.
My sister's wedding is Saturday. Please lord just let us make it through this. I'm so over the bridezilla dramatics and so scared to have a babysitter watch the girls. Ugh. Makes my tummy hurt.
Today is DH's first day back to work. I have to say I'm kind of excited to have the day without him. I go back on Thursday and I have a list of things I'd like to get done before then, but I'm trying to remind myself that if all I do is keep LO happy all day that will be accomplishing something!
Three nights in a row LO has slept 9 hours over night with only a 5-10 minute wake up for a snack instead of a full feeding/diaper change session. He is also really taking to his long morning naps lately. I am in charge of LO alone from about 11pm until 5:30 the next evening due to DH's schedule and commute so I'm dancing for joy over this.
You know you're a mom when people ask you what you want for your birthday and you can only come up with baby accessories (a bumbo and new activity mat please)

Hey!! How are you doing??
Hey hey I'm doing well at the moment. I have a few weeks of easier chemo then I get into some hard stuff for about 2 months. Hopefully by November I'l be starting maintenance treatment and will be able to get back to most of my normal activities. Colton is doing awesome as well. Over 10 pounds now and gaining steadily
This is lame, but I'm excited. I got to test out the new running shoes I bought last week. What a difference they make. I'm not up and running just yet since I usually have baby with so it's brisk walks but I had been doing 2 miles in 40 minutes with her. Saturday at my 5k I did 3 miles in 38 minutes. Amazing how much better you can haul your booty when your toes aren't cramped up in your shoes.
So I finally had my OMG I am a mom moment....Murphy hasn't pooped in a week and this morning I peaked into his diaper after I smelled some funk and saw poop. I got so excited I was dancing around and singing to him about him pooping and how proud I was of him for pooping. Afterwards I realized I am a mom and I get excited when my baby poops
Now that we're doing more cloth diapering I can't believe how much some of these prints can go for. I didn't realize there were limited editions in diapers. I joked with Hubs that maybe we should snag up these so called limited prints, stash them away new and sell them 6 months later for a killing. I thought it was a super cute diaper with little sunglasses and lipsticks. Yep, that's called an Audrey I think and NIP someone had it for $60. For A diaper?? Whoa!
But I do feel pretty accomplished because I just scored a new Chaplin cover for my stash. Diaper prints... Who knew they were collector items :-O
@strawberrydreams219 - the Evenflo glass bottles, both the 4 oz and 8 oz actually fit the PIS better than the bottles that came with the pump! Better suction and everything. Unfortunately glass bottles are a bit too heavy for hands free bras, so you have to tighten the bra a little more than usual to keep the glass bottles upright.
Edited to add: I fucking love my glass bottles. They freeze so well, reheat evenly, don't get gross and clean easily, and I have every intention of using them to freeze baby food once I am done pumping.
Glass bottles are the absolute best...squeaky clean! Love, love, love them.
2 exciting things. 1, DH and I bought a new laptop yesterday, using spare change. We have a Carlo Rossi jug that takes a year to fill up, and it was always used for vacation spending money. Since there are no vacations in sight, we bought a new laptop because the other one barely, hardly worked. 2, the first thing I did when I got on the laptop was change my signature. I am no longer 47.5 weeks pregnant, congrats to me!

I love the evenflo bottles. They were cheap. They fit the pump, and are easier to wash.
They do come with a storage lid. But the medela storage lids fit them too. I used them with ds1 and they didn't break at all so don't let the glass part scare you. Best part no chemicals leaching into the milk.

@kaysa2 I use the same bottles and love them! You pop them in the freezer and haven't had any issues? I don't know why I didn't think of this. Do you just set them on the counter to thaw?
We are headed to California in less than 48 hours. We were supposed to leave on Saturday morning but I realized the tickets were crazy town (a 5:30am flight seemed doable, until I realized that meant being there at 3:30, which means leaving the house at 3 AM, which means waking up at 2:30 ). Anyways, I was going to pack Friday. Now I need to be packed like tomorrow. Which means I need to do laundry and figure out what we need to pack for le bebe.
I might just pack essentials and grab anything I forget at target down there.
This one! I love it, it's so comfortable. H gave me the look though because I also just bought and lillebaby airflow, which I also love. I just ordered fabric so I could make matching teething pads and a hood. The hood is going to have giraffe horns and ears on it! Obvs obsessed over here..

oooh I love Spotted Love!! I'm kind of a tula whore lol I am obsessed with them so I totally understand!
We are baptising DS this Sunday! I am so excited. We are having a party at the house after, I hope we have good weather because 35 people inside will be tight.
Also, my SIL sucks at life. She's not coming because she doesn't believe in God and doesn't want to sit through church. (DH and his siblings were raised Atheist. Raising the baby Catholic was very, very importing to me... DH understands.) I don't know what her problem is but fuck that shit... I don't care if I never have to be around her but DH is upset and I feel bad.
@lest12 that's just ridiculous. I'm not religious by any means, but my SIL and BIL are. When they have kids and baptize them, I will absolutely be there to support them and their decision! I can put aside my own beliefs for them on a day like that.
Thanks @saltylovely! It just seems extreme to skip out on it because you "don't want to sit through church". It's 45 minutes of your life and it's for your brother and nephew.
If my Jewish friend had a son and invited us to his bris, I wouldn't decline because I'm Catholic and don't want to go to a Synagogue (and I certainly wouldn't complain about it to anyone, either). It just seems a bit disrespectful to me.
Unless you have extreme convictions where Christianity is concerned. Which SIL doesn't, she's just being a selfish little brat. There, I said it. She's a selfish brat.
Oh my lord. C, the two year old, has always gone to bed upstairs without a problem. Last few nights she's been having issues and I noticed them as well at naptime today. She would get up, slam the door shut (we leave it open a crack so we can hear her), and then call out for us. Tonight was awful. Over an hour of calming her down, putting her to bed, and having her up and screaming. She sounded scared but I couldn't figure out of what. Finally I realized that her crying wasn't getting louder before she slammed the door, the door was opening. I went up, closed her door from the inside and sat with her. I then watched the door open by itself. Turns out DH greased the squeaky hinges on Wednesday. Now it swings open. She was terrified that someone was opening it, but it was obvious to her that we weren't up there. She'd slam the door shut and then call for us. Poor baby!! She's finally down for the night. I'd rather have squeaky hinges, and now we have to find some way to keep the door shut without latching it.
