I'm about ready to make dh and his phone Alarm sleep elsewhere..... Why does he need to set the alarm for an hour before he gets up and keep pushing snooze!? It wakes me up, and most importantly it wakes lo up!
OH I'm such a snooze pusher too, I just cant pull myself to get out of the bed at 5. This way if it goes off at 4:30 and I hit snooze a few times I feel like I'm getting " extra sleep" haha.

LO still had a fever of 102 when I left for work. I felt so terrible but we are already short handed this week. BUT as soon as I can get her an appointment I'm out IDGAF !

@younglove316 great!! Good luck with moving stuff! ( : I too am super busy this week with work so hoping it all smooths out after! I'll keep my eye out for other neo moms and try to go find that original thread so we can pick some dates!
LO STTN as well. I was just about to check on him when I heard him poop. Then he started playing with his toes. Got up to change his diaper, feed him, then he pooped again.
Oh the doors? LO is still in our room, but our door is cracked open as is DS1's.
We used to watch tv in our room, so we closed the doors to cut down the noise. The cat doesn't go into his room at night, but sleeps in ours frequently. When we move LO to his own room, we will have lo's door open a crack, DS1 will move to the other bedroom and we will put up a baby gate to contain him and leave the door cracked for noise reasons.
I would prefer the bedroom door open for better air flow, but it does not currently work for us.
@tsmith312 hope the fever breaks and lo is feeling better soon! DH also sets his alarm for way earlier than he needs to wake up. It drives me crazy but I used to do the same thing.. LO is still in our room so I'm not sure how the doors will be yet. It was so cute to see the Chicago pics!! Was there ever a New England meet up? I'm going to try to open up a bank account for LO today. I've had a check for her since her baby shower!
Just got 4 month shots, LO's belly button is still leaking. They referred us us to a surgeon to make sure its just not quite healed yet. On the other hand it could be like attached to our liver or something.... one in a million, but I really appreciate our pedi explaining it in detail. I am not freaked out at all now
IL are getting all in my head about our trip to London... now they think LO will get Ebola... in london...I have no words... but yet somehow it still gets in my head and gets me all freaked out.
On a happier note, I love my nanny/babysitter. She is like my therapist/nanny...
We sleep with all doors closed. I was always taught that in case of a fire it's better to have the doors closed. I feel more comfortable with the doors closed as well. The first week we had the doors cracked because we didn't have a monitor yet.
Married 11/23/11, TTC starting 10/12, BFP#1 11/30/12, Adoption of stepson finalized 03/19/13,Loss of our daughter at 20w4d due to incompetent cervix 03/27/13, BFP#2 06/28/13, DS2 born 3/1/14.
@kstar83 if it makes you feel any better, all umbilical cords run to the liver. The connection just generally closes off at birth, so it's not a weird place for it to connect to, just weird that it's still not healed (if that makes sense). Good luck, I hope it gets figured out soon!
I sleep with the door closed if I'm alone, but wide open if mh is there.
Every mall I've been to in Canada has a very nice nursing room. Comfy chairs, change stations, some even have extra diapers and wipes. I tend to nip all over the place, but I always use the rooms for diaper changes.
@jenstwins thank you! that is reassuring. We scheduled the first possible appointment but it isn't until the 20th. I am really hoping she doesn't need any surgery, no matter how minor. I mean I was a wreck her first shots, I can't even imagine how I will be in her first surgery!!
@jtizzay my LO's are getting baptized on Saturday too! It's going to be crazy at our house because we didn't realize pretty much all the hotel rooms would be booked due to the state fair being a couple of towns over. So, now everyone but the IL's are staying with us. 10 adults, a 9 yo, 4 yo, two 3 yo's, a 2 yo, and four babies under 1 all in a 3 1/2 bedroom house plus the RV my family decided to rent and drive down. It's going to be nice to see everyone but I think a lot of alcohol will need to be consumed. I don't even know how I'm going to feed all these people for two days.
@bennieangel It's been about 8 years since I was last there but yes, they had a display case of old phones and this one was included. I kicked ass at snake on this phone
That was like, my third phone. Lol. Ex still has that one too. He has his own personal Smithsonian. I had something like this ... Then this...
Apparently I am 4 years old. I took me a whole bottle of water to swallow my penicillin pill just now... It got stuck in the back of my throat with the last gulp and I had to run to the bathroom to get more water. Gross!
@bennieangel I'm not an OT (i'm an SLP) but I say doooo it! I went back to school to get away from my desk job (marketing) and am so glad I did. Therapy is such a rewarding field. Like @ffwifey said - you can do so many different things, which is awesome if you crave some variety. I work with 17-101 yr olds in an acute rehab hospital and love it. I see stroke, traumatic brain injury, head/neck cancer, etc. never a dull day! I've also worked in skilled nursing and acute care (and still work there occasionally). When Emma is older I have the option of working in the schools to have summers off with her, although that prob won't happen. I get bored fixing Rs and lisps. good luck! I say go for it (gotta love unsolicited internet stranger advice).

@WisconsinCheese12 I'm the same way! I also refuse to use Luvs if I know he is going to be having a poopy diaper anytime soon because he always blows out of them, but my MIL keeps buying them for us and won't listen when I tell her to please not. We use Pampers at night and at daycare because I don't want to keep 500 new outfits at daycare for every time he blows out!
I told MIL I use Pampers Baby-Dry, and WHY. So she buys Pampers, but she's been buying Cruisers. She keeps them at her house. (So far she has only bought for DS1, but she wants to buy for LO too)
My biggest problem with her is getting her to not feed him crap food all the time.
On the subject of phones . I had a blue pager first , I thought I was cool . Then the Nokia that PP posted then a nextel , because that was cool to have !

Just started using Luvs because we moved up a size and have a few diaper cakes of them... Blowout bouncer style. Have to clean the damn bouncer cover now.
@bennieangel SLP = speech-language pathologist (speech therapist). At some point in your program you'd be doing full time clinical placements. You could prob do a nights/weekends thing if you HAD to, but that'd be tough bc you'd still need to study and you have a babe. I worked up until my last semester, which is when I had to quit my part time job. I think it'd be doable though once your baby is a couple years older.
