If I lose my avatar I'll go apeshit. It took me forever to find a penguin donut!!!! If I change my name from Babycaps it will be something along the lines of "penguin"?!?!?!
I posted this on FB, But I know not all of you are in the FB group , sooo..
WWM14 do ? As you all know I accepted a new job last week . Working at home . It's a significant price difference ( less ) then what I'm making working my 7-4 job . But to have more time with LO I took the position .
My employer that I'm working for now and have been for 3 years doesn't want me to leave . This morning my boss offered me to work part time , work half days , half weeks , days off etc whatever to keep me . So it's the best of both worlds ! More time with LO while keeping my job . Part of me wants to stay at my job just for the experience and to stay in the " business " world .
I want more then anything to be a SAHM . But I know that's not a permanent job . I have severe anxiety about jobs / money . I'm really trying to figure out which way to go . My worry is being out of a job for 5 years while I stay home then trying to return into the business world may be hard . We have so much medical expenses from delivery then when she was back in the hospital taking a $200 pay cut a week makes me nervous . Any advice would be welcomed ! Thanks ladies !
Ugh. A friend just sent a photo she took of me today with the baby. I need some botox like WHOA. You could sail the Titanic through the lines between my eyes.
I have been Mia for a week or so, everyone in my house one by one has had a horrible stomach virus. I am the last one and feel like death. Luckily I have been making enough milk for LO because I haven't eaten in 2 days and have had minimal water. LO so far is ok but ds2 we almost had to take in to get fluids. I am sorry if I missed nothing and hope everyone is well. I am oing back to snuggle my puke bucket :-&
Am I the only one who is apathetic about starting my baby on solids? I see so many posts about the excitement but I just don't get it. I definitely want to be the one to do it first, because why not? But besides that... I don't get the hype... lol. Maybe it's because I know the poop will get worse? And he'll be dripping food everywhere and I hate cleaning..? lol
@FarmBoysWife sorry you're stressed/exhausted ... I honestly don't know how you do it taking care of 2 boys and working the crazy hours that you do. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger! When your boys are older they will appreciate the sacrifices you made to care for them in the best way
So I'm packing up the bedroom and my husband probably has enough pairs of socks that he wouldn't have to worry about washing any for 2 months. Seriously, who needs that many socks?!
My husband has enough for at least 2 months as well. He doesn't remember the last time HE bought socks. His mother buys him multiple packs every Christmas. (Totalling about 10 pairs) They wouldn't all fit into one drawer with underwear in his new dresser so he now has 2/3 of a drawer of socks and a bin with about 50 more pairs. Some are finally wearing thin enough to get rid of, but with having so many in the rotation it's gonna be a long time before he needs to buy more.
PSA : DH and I found out last night at target you can use up to 3 Enfamil or similac coupns for each transaction . I wish I would of known this 3 months ago ! I'm glad my Enfamil coupon stash is going to good use !

@benniea Haha that is funny! Maybe he will be a soccer player? That's what we keep saying. Lo loves kicking. He kicks all day every day. I think this is why it has taken him so long. He kicks his playmat toys.
Same here. She kicks at everything. The other day, she grabbed my mom by the hair and then kicked her in the face. I'm thinking she might take on kick boxing...you know, since it's more violent.
@benniea The same thing happened to me over the weekend! I had just cut J's nails so they were extra sharp. In one move he stuck his thumb up my nose and clawed at the inside. Same husband reaction too.
I really want to talk to people about TTC #2 while BF + no period yet (5 weeks after pseudo night weaning) + tracking temps for the first time... but I'm nervous no one will be involved...
I want to start ttc but I want to earn my next mat leave so have to wait a few months first. I'll be totally envious of anyone who gets pregnant right now even though I hated being pregnant.
Are you!? You might be the first M14 BFP? I know nothing on this subject...I'm just in awe that people are starting to try or considering trying already...I'm SO far from that. Oh, and it requires sex...and if you follow anything I've said recently that's not been happening. So there's that.
lol technically we are waiting until october. but I like to be prepared... since I'm clearly a crazy person...
Bfest Tuesday: I am done with this week already. Started potty training DS yesterday, he is stubborn and hates it and is throwing tantrums that he doesn't want to sit on the potty. So I called it quits for now. He starts pre-k in 3 weeks :-w
I don't know your situation if you SAH or how many kids you have but my DS1 was 28months when I potty trained him in June he was definitely ready as he would always tell us when he was going in his diaper. Before he started telling us tho we would occasionally try to put him on the toilet and he would throw tantrums. I was on maternity leave still and daycare was closed for a week so it was perfect to do then. Before the week came I continuously told DS we were gonna start no diapers on Monday. (Pretty sure he didn't know when Monday was though). Monday morning I took his diaper off and he wore nothing for two days except at bed and nap we used a pull up. He started out sitting on his potty chair in the living room (we have wood floors) then I would let him go dump it on his own each time. Every time he went we cheered, clapped, danced around like fools and he called someone every single time to tell them he went potty on the big boy toilet. After the two days he started wearing underwear and we haven't looked back since. Yes we have accident occasionally mainly because he's playing to hard and doesn't want to stop. I know it works different for everyone but maybe a no looking back approach could benefit you too! Good luck and I hope it gets easier!
I had a friend who had all of there friends and family around the country video tape a message if them cheering. Each time there daughter went on the potty, they showed her a video. I'm not looking forward to potty training, but I love that idea!
I'm hungry. It's 4am. I've been up with LO most of the night. It's one of those nights that he would rather sleep on me than in his own bed. My arms are tired of holding him, but if I lay him down I'm lucky to get 15 minutes rest. The more frequently I wake at night, or the longer I'm up, the hungrier I get, and right now, I'm StArViNg!!!
Was it a full moon or something last night? One of lo's wakeups lasted 2.5 hours last night. I even tried tylenol thinking maybe it was her teeth. Too tired.
Do you have that one friend who is just super negative? I DO ! I texted her this morning and told her my current employer approved my part-time position. I will be working 3 maybe 4 days a week . ALL she could say was well that's a good thing and a bad thing. EVERYTHING has a negative side when it comes to her, so annoying. That's why I like all of you ladies, my internet friends !

@tsmith312 Congrats on accepting your company's offer! How exciting! Don't listen to your negative friend, she's probably unhappy and doesn't know how to be happy for others.
I think that's what the issue is !!

Yesterday someone mentioned being sad they don't have any bump pics... I never really took any except for hdbd...
So I'm glad I uploaded some to the app I'm trying to save them to my computer now. If I get on a computer I might go back and see if I can steal Ll of my pics I posted on Wednesday too! My face isn't in them but oh well.
I was sad I didn't do a pregnancy book, but am glad I did the weekly ticker change posts. I keep meaning to go through and save all those posts to my computer.
Random of the day: It scares me when I see drivers who sit in the car about 2 inches away from the steering wheel. How can one be THAT close to the steering wheel and drive safely? One of the girls I went to HS with is only 4'9. She has adaptive pedals to compensate for her height so that she's not so close to the wheel.
This is so me! Anyone who drives my car, has to move the seat back a ton. I drive like a grandma!
DDs been spitting up a lot too. And now that shes learned to roll over on her own as soon as I lay her on her back , boom she rolls over and spits up !

1. I don't think I told you guys about Will's PT eval. He scored 2 months for reflexes, 2 months for stationary skills, and 4 months for locomotion. For mobile peeps he's 6 months in less than a week. Because he's a weirdo if you scored only his lower body he would have gotten 7 months. His legs are freakishly strong. For some reason I love getting these concrete numbers. They are fascinating.
2. I am home on the couch because I'm hungover. Don't be jealous of my coolness.
So the best thing just happened ! I picked Harper up from my moms after work . I walk into the other room to get her car seat , and Harper starts screaming crying . I walk back in and she stops and smiled at me . She missed her mommy today ! I've created a monster !

@bunnyfungo - nope no charting temps. Just tracked my period and had a bunch of sex in the middle. ">
I've seriously stalked all the forums I can find. Most of the charts I see already have had ppaf. Mostly from what I've read suggests cutting down on feedings. Since I go to work I'm only at 3 feedings a day (6am, 4pm, 8pm) she has two bottles while I'm gone and a bottle if she wakes up between 8pm and 6am. So 50%. That started 5ish weeks ago. I started temping (w/alarm clock at 5:30am) on Monday. So maybe when I have a few weeks on my chart I'll share. Lol
I'm also tempted (if it's down to the wire) of not BFing for 48 hours. But I haven't looked into it yet.

...Maybe best to let this one slide by.
